If you could tell me the difference between weak and default, that would be great. I almost asked the queation here the other day.
With default some of the tires grip will always be allocated for turning.
For THAT car I will let you know in a bit.
I find with weak on certain cars it reduces understeer on corner entry, with the negative being it’s more sensitive than default, and a lot more difficult to get right.
For example on default you can start turning in like a gr3 at 100 percent brake and it will still let you, and you can trail off more abruptly and you won’t lockup significantly.
With weak it puts you into more control but it’s so touchy it’s not usually worth using on most vehicles.
If you combine too much brake and turn on weak you will miss turns, also the “sweet spot” of best performance is very small, whereas default will always save you.
Default is also better than weak in dirty air.
On certain cars though, I do better on weak because it gets me better turn in.
Overall imo you could leave every car on default and be fine.
Weak makes the braking touchy and difficult, but it might not be bad to time trial that way.
Might learn to modulate brakes on turn in better.
I kinda feel like as you go default-weak-off
each change allows you even more weight shift under braking also.
I’m going to test on Arace qual right now to confirm.
