If you need to pit, use mediums for a lap. The small amount of time you lose for the tyre change will be more than made up for by your improved speed on the softer compound.
The one stop can be competitive if you are starting near the front (which you will be with that qualy time) and get away from the pack early. The biggest challenge comes from finding good places to overtake the fuel savers on lap 2.
So I did this strategy this morning, Q2 and hit the pits for hards and fuel with a 10 second lead. Came out in 8th and could only get back up to 3rd. Good gain of DR ~800, but still not very satisfying.
