I've noticed damage doesn't show up in the replays. I was taking pictures of the 512 '76 but in the Cote d'Azur, it got beat up quite a bit and when I checked the replay, there was no damage at all?

Nice crash, doing some airtime in my Lambo, rebuilding the front of the AI's Aston...

That Aston scares me..
Either 1: It has a moustache
2: It is showing it's "derp" face
or 3: It's going to eat you.

That's what you get for having the Michelin Man as your co-pilot :dopey:

ROFL! Good one mate. It really does look like Mr. Michelin is behind the wheel. But who would have thought that the Tom's Supra was left hand drive. :dunce:

I took 5 laps around the Eifel custom track that Mark17 created (with the large jump in it), and took pics on lap 5.

After the jump, my audi actually slid under the Zonda. I rode all the way across the track with it on my bonnet.

You can actually see my driver's feet through the bodywork...

The wing looked alright until the last lap when the Zonda decided to give my Audi an automobilic noogie...

I find it funny that there are so many sets of skidmarks on my car. It's like the Zonda was doing donuts on my roof...lol

I wasn't intentionally crashing, but I was bumping and grinding my way over to the finish line in the Snow, and this is what the front of my car looked like:

that is some pretty epic damage. that only took 5 laps? what level are you?

Damage is sucks in this game - not epic at all!!! Unfortunately I have to admit it!!!

I'm guessing you're mad because you don't know how to drive clean or have fun in GT5? :sly:

Oh ****ing hell! Amazing shots here. Do you guys think they're going to raise the "sensitivity" of how easily you get (visual) damage when the mechanical damage update thingy comes out? :odd:

I really don't think the damage looks so bad except for the fact that you have to do much more than in real life to cause it. Especially the broken off/bent bumpers etc. would be pretty realistic if they were caused by just a small bump rather than a 150mph impact.

Since most of us don't have the habit of slamming into things at 150mph I think it could result in something fairly realistic. I also hope that mechanical damage will render a car completely impossible to drive after a high speed impact, like in real life.

With the appropriate patches this COULD turn out a pretty decent damage model actually. I've already seen a lot of pics that have better looking visual damage than Forza 3 which is merely scripted dents and scratches here and there.

I totally agree! I have literally had only 1 big crash so far, I think they should make it more realistic. It seems if you want to see the damage you have to purposely go out of your way to cause it.

I would like it if a big crash resulted in proper full on damage like real life, you would be scared of crashing then as well! I think they should have an option to toggle damage off, on as it is at the moment and realistic.
