His magic is real, and I believe in him. Well, at least that's what Michael Jackson said at some awards show.

:odd:

I don't know. He does some cool ****, I guess. Haven't seen any of his work in a while.

There was a guy that used to work with him who went public with a how-to-do dvd/vhs tape. Including how the levitation is performed, I forgot the name of the site though..

I think what he does is cool ****. I seen him on the Howard Stern show with some crack-head lookin' model that he was bangin'. He is a little weird but I guess it pays to be when you do carnival tricks for a living.

david blaine rules, hes the only magician that stumps me and makes me think, and although it hurts, i like it. i just hate when he does stupid things like sit in a box above the River Thames and hunger strike...speaking of which remember the guy that used a remote control heli/plane to fly up a hamburger and dangled it in front of him

btw i missed that how to guy, how did he say david levitated?

I can do some of his tricks... it's not THAT hard, you just have to be familiar with the processes and you have to be persuasive in your words.... his famous levitating trick, that's easy to do... but you have to find the right angle, that's the hard part :p

Ok what you do you, you basically stand about 1.5 to 2 meters away from the person you want to do the trick to. Then you stand facing them backwards, so they can only see your left foot (assuming that your right foot is your stronger foot) and the back of your right foot. After that... you put your feet together tightly, and you start to angle your right foot...so sort of like the tiptoe motion, but with only your right... and with your left foot, you try to angle it the same as your right foot in terms of height and all.... So you have one foot that's perpendicular to the floor (left foot) and your right foot is on a 45 degree angle. This sounds really simple, but that's basically how you do it.... you just have to work on the angle that people look at you... That's the main part....

Don't know if that sounds confusing, but it's really easy to SHOW the trick to you then explain in mere words... sorry if i'm confusing anyone :p

hahaha.. told you :p
It's REALLY easy if i can just show you how to do it in person.. it's a lot simpler than you think! Sounds complicated, yet easy.

Here, try this:

Then, for the TV special/video they buy a similar coat to one of the people watching, refilm it from behind a crew member wearing said coat (so it looks like the same audience) and lift 3 feet up on wires.

lol Famine. hey thanks for the info slk, but i swear when david blaine does it he is facing them front on. he might not be, but i couldve sworn when ive been watching it. anyway, hes the best magician in my books, as any other ive seen is easy to work out, hes just damn complicated. lol. props to him 👍.

Never heard of David Blaine but i did see a "magic' trick if you will on TV once.I don't know who the performer was but basically what he did was,he went inside a coffin that was later chained and set on fire. That coffin was then lifted by crane onto a raft and sent down the Niagra falls. The raft with the flaming and chained coffin fell down the falls and the next thing you saw was this guy hanging by a rope wich was held by a helicopter. Now you are probably going to say that the video was edited so you wouldn't se him getting out but this was one shot,no camera change, nothing. The camera was constantly focused on the coffin and the next thing you know you see the helicopter rise behind the falls with him hanging under it.

I still don't know he he did it.

Sounds like Lance Burton (the dove man) to me.

By the way, anyone wanting to see TRUE magical genius, watch Tom Mullica's cigarette tricks. Awesome.

I just saw that the other day on one of these programs that's been on Channel 5 recently. Top 100 magic tricks or something like that. It's astonishing!

I mean, how?

Never been a big fan of David Blaine. He does some good magic tricks, but he comes across as someone who is trying to be mysterious, whereas he actually just seems an idiot.

I prefer a magician called Paul Zenon. He does the same sort of magic as Blaine, but he's also a comedian, and doesn't try to be something he isn't, i.e. dark and scary.

Channel 5? More like the "Top 100 Naked Nazi Magic Tricks... FROM HELL!".

First, GTChamp, they can still edit with one camera. but i know ur point, and yea i think that was Lance. hes good, but u can just poke the fakeness with a stick IMO. blaine is just downright good.

Roo, i think u have to look past the image hes trying to portray, i mean i know the guys a wanker...dont u just hate his "hey everybody look at me, look, HEY, EVERYBODY, LOOK AT ME" endurance crap. but just watch his magic, i find some of his tricks amazing.

btw nice avatar, reminds me of my first driving lesson.

I'll say again, Tom Mullica + cigarette tricks = Better than any other magician ever.

lol, cigarettes = best advertising trick to use reverse psychology of pretending to turn people off them, yet people go "eh" and smoke em anyway. now thats magic.

Mullica himself is and was a non-smoker, and hasn't performed the trick sine 1996...
