ARCA 200 (80 laps, 200 miles) using detuned 2010 NASCAR cars to match ARCA speeds. Limit: 11 cars.
Daytona Shootout (based off of this year’s Sprint Unlimited race, format TBD) using 2013 NASCAR cars, detuned to match accurate Cup restrictor plate speeds. Limit: 10 cars.

The GTP Online Racing Rules & Guidelines and the Good Racecraft Guide are expected to be followed for all of these events. Each event will have it's own rulebook which will be listed in posts below.

Events labeled as a Final Practice will be mandatory to attend. On certain days practice sessions will be integrated with the race events and other days will be purely for practicing. The complete schedule will be in a post below.

All vehicles have been carefully tuned to match the actual speeds they run around Daytona in their respective series. Races will be run with the rules that the actual series use, including Cautions. (IROC rules for IROC, ARCA rules for ARCA, NASCAR rules for NASCAR, etc.) These events will use Real draft and Heavy damage settings. Not for beginners! This is a serious “Race for Real.” event.

Daytona Track Rules
These rules do not apply for IROC other than Pace Speed.

Yellow Line Rule
Driver's are not allowed to complete a pass that has any part of the pass below the Yellow Line. It is the Official's judgment that if a driver goes below the yellow line to improve their position, they will be black-flagged. Also the Officials will use their judgment that if a driver forces someone below the Yellow Line in an effort to keep them from passing, they may be black-flagged. Cars are allowed to pass other cars when they are "out of bounds", (below the Yellow Line) if they are doing so to avoid a wreck that is in progress.

Pit Road Speed Limit
55 mph (90 km/h) 5 mph buffer allowed (8 km/h), strict 60 mph (98 km/h). 61 mph (99 km/h) is a Speeding Penalty. Drivers must be at or below the pit road speed limit by the time they cross the first white line at the entrance to Pit Road. Drivers must remain at or below the pit road speed limit for the entire length of Pit Road. (This does not apply for the IROC 100.)

Pit Entry and Exit
When entering Pit Road under Green Flag conditions, drivers must stay to the left of the thick yellow line. When exiting pit road under Green Flag conditions, driver's must stay to the left of the thick yellow line until it ends. If traffic is coming, the driver that is merging onto the track must yield to the traffic, however merging drivers are not to continue driving below the apron into Turn 1. When racing drivers see a vehicle merging onto the track they are expected to move up the track in order to allow room for the driver that is merging if the vehicle the vehicle that is merging is almost in Turn 1. This is to prevent the merging driver from having to drive below the apron in Turn 1 which is dangerous. If the traffic is almost on top of the merging driver, they are required to yield to the traffic by slowing down.

Start/Restart Box: There are painted white lines on the track just after the pit road entrance. The lead car may accelerate at any time after the first white line, calling the Green Flag. If they do not accelerate by the double white lines, the Green Flag will be called for them.
Commitment Line: Where the yellow striped line begins right in front of the pit entry sign, under Green Flag conditions, and the infield grass under Yellow Flag conditions.
Pit Road Speed Limit: 55 mph (90 km/h) 5 mph buffer allowed (8 km/h), strict 60 mph (98 km/h). 61 mph (99 km/h) is a Speeding Penalty.
Safety Car Stationary Location: On the road that comes from the oval's pit road on the left of the track after the Start/Finish Line.
Pace Speed: 70 mph (112 km/h)
Overtime Line: The right edge of the skybox on the backstretch grandstand.

Practice Rules
All official practices are to be taken seriously. This means that the correct track direction is to be followed at all times. No exceptions. In addition, there is to be no warping off the track at any time except when already on pit road. The only areas in which drivers are allowed to be parked under Green Flag conditions are pit road, and to the far inside of the pit exit lane. Finally, all other rules for the series are to be followed as they would apply in a race.

IROC Rulebook
Pit Stops: There are no scheduled pit stops in IROC events. If a driver must stop at the pits for any reason, his car is serviced by a crew of IROC mechanics. Under normal circumstances, a driver who pits under the Green Flag receives no penalty, except for the time lost on the track. A driver who pits under a Yellow Caution Flag, however, is subject to a one-lap penalty, as assessed by the IROC organizers.

Yellow Flag Laps:
Under normal circumstances, Yellow Flag caution laps do not count in IROC competition. If the Yellow Flag is waved, we revert back to the last completed lap for the Restart line-up. If the Restart occurs on the last lap, the White and Green Flags will be displayed and it will be a one-lap shootout. At the Moment of Caution, the field is frozen instantly. This means, under Caution drivers will line up Single File and that drivers are not allowed to pass other drivers.

Start and Restarts:
The start will be Double File with the leader on the inside. Drivers must wait to accelerate until the Green Flag is called. Until the Green Flag for the Start is called, drivers must maintain Double File formation. Restarts will be Single File. Until the Green Flag is called for any Restart, drivers must maintain Single File. If officials feel that any Start or Restart is uneven with drivers out of formation, they may call off that Start or Restart and the Yellow Flag procedure will be followed to attempt that Start or Restart again.

Finishing Procedure: IROC races will be run in Endurance Mode. For every lap of Caution the race distance will be extended by one (1) lap. With no Cautions, the Checkered Flag will be waved ending Lap 42, coming onto Lap 43. As drivers take the Checkered Flag they are to coast down to Pace Speed as they would under Caution and then maintain their position. Drivers will then park in front of the Pit Entrance while still maintaining their position. Once drivers are parked, officials will record the results. Once the results are recorded, drivers will be instructed to leave the track.

Time trial results will determine the starting lineup for race. The format for time trials is as follows: one warm-up lap, followed by two timed laps. Starting Grid order will be determined by the best lap time out of the two timed laps.

3. In qualifying by the clock, failure to complete a lap after taking the Green Flag on the first lap, or the White Flag on the second lap, will cause a loss of that qualifying attempt. No wave-offs will be allowed. Taking the Green constitutes a lap and taking the White constitutes a lap. If for any reason the timing device should fail, the flagman may give the vehicle the Green or White again.

4. No times from a round of qualifying will be used if round is not completed.

In the event of duplicate best lap qualifying times, the results for which driver gets the position will be decided by the involved drivers other lap with the slower driver placing immediately after the driver they tied with In the event the other lap is also a duplicate time, drivers involved will run one more lap.

Any driver or team not ready to compete when called may be sent to the rear of the race; or let out of the remainder of the day’s racing events at the discretion of Officials.

2. The race may be started at Starter/Race Director’s discretion once drivers have been signaled to be ready. Disposition of vehicles not in position shall be at discretion of Officials.

3. Whenever it becomes dangerous, unsafe or impractical to continue a race within the discretion of the Starter/Race Director, a race may be stopped. Furthermore, at the discretion of Officials, if said race event reaches or surpasses the half way point and due to unforeseen circumstances cannot continue, said event will be considered officially completed as of the last lap completed by the leader prior to the race halt.

4. At least the Leader shall cover the advertised laps of all races if possible at the discretion of Race Officials.

5. All cars must make at least one Pit Stop prior to the last ten scheduled laps of an event. To qualify as a “Pit Stop” the vehicle must come to a complete stop. This Pit Stop may be completed under Yellow or Green Flag conditions. (If drivers do not actually wish to change tires they may complete this Pit Stop by entering Pit Road to the far left, which will reset the car for a drive-through, as long as they come to a complete stop before they enter.)

6. When official discretion of winning positions is made by the representative(s) in charge, all races shall be considered finished.

7. Caution Flag laps may count as completed laps as designated. At designated races and tracks, race will be ended on green-white-checkered flag whenever possible. Procedure regarding Caution Laps and ending race on Green to be brought to driver’s attention before race.

9. No vehicle will be started or allowed to continue in competition which, in the opinion of presiding Race Officials, is a hazard to the other vehicles in the event.

10. The Pole Position vehicle will bring the field to the Green as directed by the Flagman. No one is allowed to pass another vehicle until the Start/Finish Line on the initial start of the race at Race Director’s discretion. A Start is official based on the rules of the track being run. Announcement of these procedures will be made at the driver’s meeting.

11. When a Race is stopped after the completion of at least one (1) lap, cars will line up in their respective track order in which they were scored. In the event that the Yellow Flag is called before the first lap is completed, cars will line up in the order of the Starting Grid. When the starter gives the “one (1) lap to go” signal, cars will line up in two (2) columns for all restarts in the following “Double File” format after they cross the Start/Finish line, unless otherwise directed by Officials. The leader will have column/lane selection for each Restart and is the control car for the Restart. The third place car, in scored order, must line up on the inside column/lane of the second row. The remaining cars will be lined-up in “Double File” in the following order:

a) Lead Lap car(s) that maintained their respective track position and did not enter Pit Road. Lead Lap car(s) that entered pit road only once, on the designated lap during this Caution Period when Pit Road was open, as they have returned to the race track.

b) Lap(s) Down car(s) that maintained their respective track position and did not enter Pit Road, during this Caution Period.

c) Lap(s) Down car(s) that have entered Pit Road on the designated lap and cars that have entered Pit Road more than once, as they have returned to the track in their respective track position.

d) The highest scored Non-lead Lap car (“Free Pass”) at the time of Caution.

e) The “Wave Around” car(s) are not permitted to enter pit road at any time during the Yellow Flag/Caution period. “Wave Around” car(s) must maintain their respective track position and receive the Green Flag on the race track before being permitted to enter Pit Road without a penalty.

f) Car(s) that have been issued a race procedure penalty will be at the “Tail of the Field” in their respective track position.

12. All drivers are required to attend all mandatory drivers’ meetings and/or mandatory participation events in order to be allowed to compete; penalty may be issued if driver is late or absent unexcused.

13. Once a vehicle has been started for an event, it is assumed to be race ready and is to continue on the track unless stopped by a race official.

14. GREEN-WHITE CHECKERED PROCEDURE:
  • If the final scheduled lap of the race is would be under Caution, the Caution period will proceed as normal. When the Green Flag is waved for the Restart attempt, there will be two laps remaining in the race. If a Caution comes out at any time during the first of the two laps, each subsequent restart will be a two-lap restart following the same procedure.
    • If there is a Caution and the Restart would be set to be on the final scheduled lap, the Green and White Flag will be waved together and the race will have only one lap remaining.
      .

SECTION 7 OFFICIAL FLAG RULES
Any driver who does not obey the flag rules is subject to penalty.

SPECIAL FLAGS
Special flags may be used at the discretion of starter and officials, but are to be fully explained to all contestants before the races start.

GREEN FLAG

When the Green Flag is given by the starter at start of race, vehicles are to retain position until they have crossed the Starting Line. Officials may make special rulings on Starts and Restarts at Race Director’s discretion. For example, after a Red Flag, Caution Flag may constitute official Restart of race.

PASSING FLAG (Blue Flag with Yellow Stripe) (Sometimes just referred to as “Blue Flag”)
Faster vehicles are approaching. Vehicles being overtaken are to yield to overtaking traffic.

YELLOW FLAG (Also referred to as "Caution Flag" or simply "Caution".)
The Yellow Flag signifies Caution and this flag will be displayed immediately upon determination. All vehicles must carefully coast to slow to Pace Speed and hold position and form a single line behind the lead vehicle and Pace Car. Drivers failing to abide by Caution Flag rule/procedure are subject to penalty. The Leader will be picked up by the Pace Car. Cars must under no circumstances pass the Pace Car unless directed to do so by Officials. Drivers must allow the Pace Car to pass to pick up the Leader. The Pace Car will lead the field until the Green Flag is again displayed. Procedure for Yellow Flag (freeze field) to be announced at driver’s meeting prior to event.
FREEZE FIELD: Upon display of Caution, all vehicles must slow and hold position (no passing) and allow the Pace Car to pick up the field, as determined and made known to drivers in the pre-race driver’s meeting.
PITTING: All Pit Stops are to be made according to procedure as determined and made known to drivers in pre-race driver’s meeting.

RED FLAG
The Red Flag means that the race must be stopped immediately regardless of the position of the vehicles on the track. The Red Flag may be used at Officials discretion for safety or other reasons. Cars should be brought to area designated by Officials, if possible, and kept on the track proper. No repairs of any nature will be permitted when the race is halted due to a Red Flag. In the event of a Red Flag, all cars will come to a stop on the backstretch just before the Bus Stop Chicane. Drivers will give plenty of room to each other and slowly apply the brakes. It is recommended that the lead car count down their speed. All drivers will then hold the brakes and press Start to "ghost" their cars. Cars are to remain stopped and ghosted until the Red Flag has been lifted.

BLACK FLAG
Driver is to report to Pit Road immediately. Disregarding a Black Flag may result in the vehicle no longer being scored or complete disqualification. Drivers causing unnecessary delays in the race are subject to Black Flag. Black Flag does not mean immediate disqualification. A Black Flag will be displayed to a driver for either damage or a penalty. If it is damage, the driver will proceed down Pit Road as normal to repair their damage. If the Black Flag is displayed for a penalty under Green Flag conditions the driver is to enter Pit Road next to the far left, (next to the inside wall) in order to take a Drive-through Penalty. If the Black Flag is displayed for a penalty under Yellow Flag conditions the driver is to follow the instructions of the Race Official in charge. This penalty could be anything leading from going to the Tail of the Field or being held for one or more Laps.

WHITE FLAG
Signifies one lap remaining in race. Vehicles may not receive any type of assistance after the White Flag has been displayed followed by checker except vehicles on normal pit stop. Violation will result in vehicle not being scored on that lap. When used during caution period or prior to start of race signifies one lap until green.

CHECKERED FLAG
When the checkered flag is displayed, a race is officially over. When the checkered flag is given to the leader, the balance of the field receives the checkered flag in the same lap. Finishing positions will be awarded according to distance traveled and order across finish line on final lap regardless of whether the vehicle is still running or not. All vehicles must complete last full scored lap under their own power. No vehicles may be pushed across the finish line. (Reference freeze field procedure under yellow flag.) The Checkered Flag will be called finishing Lap 82 and starting Lap 83. In the event where the standard race distance would end under Caution, see the Green-White-Checkered Procedure.

Network Disconnect Cautions
When a driver has a network disconnect and is forced out from the lounge of an event race, a Disconnect Caution will be waved. NAT Type 1 or 2 are required to race, NAT Type 3 is prohibited. If you wish to retire from the race, enter Pit Road, do not click "OK", or if you do IMMEDIATELY hit Start. This will ensure that you car stays in it's pit stall for the remainder of the race. If you need to leave the room, make sure we know that you are leaving by typing it out, so we know that you haven't been disconnected. You still need to drive yourself to Pit Road before leaving the room.

A. Disconnect Cautions resemble mechanical issues/failures, this MUST be the said driver's first network disconnect of the race.
B. The standing Race Director will call for a Caution when noted that the qualifying driver has left the room.
C. The field will be frozen as usual. Once under Caution, at the call of the Race Director. All drivers will gradually come to a STOP on the track.
D. The disconnected driver will have 5 minutes to get back in the lobby from the moment of the Red Flag. If they are not back in the lobby within 5 minutes, the race will resume Yellow Flag conditions. If the driver rejoins the room before the race goes Green again, they will be allowed back in. Otherwise, they won't be and the Caution Procedure for a normal Caution Period will be followed in place of the Disconnection Caution Procedure. If a driver gets back online and is able to communicate their attempt to fix their issue, they may be allowed extra time.
E. In the event that the disconnected driver rejoins the room on time, there will be mandatory pit stops. Following that, will be another Red Flag so that the Official's can take a tally and placement of current drivers for the restart. All drivers will exit the track so the host can reset the room. DO NOT LEAVE UNTIL TOLD.
F. The host will set laps to remaining amount. (Additional Pace Laps may be needed if there are lapped cars.)
G. Once the room has been reset, drivers may re-enter the track for competition. (It helps if the host is on everyone's Friends List.)
H. The disconnected driver will restart at the rear of the field on the Pace Lap.
I. If there are lapped cars, the lapped cars will pull over to the side of the track on the backstretch and will rejoin the lead lap cars when they are the correct amount of laps down. (No more than 5.) If they are more than 5 laps down they will not be allowed to go around the track to catch the leader after racing back to the line for a Caution if they beat the leader to the line until there have been enough times where that would have happened, where they would actually be 5 laps down. (Help from Officials will be available if necessary.) The field will remain under Caution until all cars are the laps down they should be before the disconnection occurred.
Ia. If there are lapped cars, before the 1 to go signal, there will be optional pit stop, in which drivers will not lose any track position for pitting.
J. Standard Restart procedure will be followed on the final Pace Lap.
K. Disconnect Cautions will not occur with 10 or less laps to go. (2 laps at Special Stage Route X)
L. If a driver is disconnected a second time, a second Disconnect Caution WILL NOT be granted, the driver will record a DNF, and may remain in the lounge area.
M. Re-entry after 2nd disconnect drivers and lapped down drivers; Drivers will be able to re-enter a race if they are disconnected a second time. When the driver re-enters the room they will not be awarded a Disconnect Caution and the room will not be reset. However, if another Disconnect Caution is called later in the race, and the field is reset along with the room, that driver will be granted re-entry to the race. It is as if their car was taken behind the wall for repairs. See Section I if the driver will be a lapped car.

SECTION 8 PENALTIES

1. Violation of any ARCA rule, regulation or procedure, as determined by Officials, may result in the participant being penalized by disqualification, probation, or suspension.

2. Any driver, and/or vehicle may be restricted from entering the lobby while under suspension.

3. Until suspension is lifted, the vehicle with which the suspended member is registered, may be restricted from competing.

SECTION 9 PROTEST

1. Scoring of a race, time trial timing, inspection decisions and race procedure decisions are not subject to protest.

2. Any protest not pertaining to any particular race, must be in writing and filed in a Private Message to the Head Official.

3. Officials shall set up rules and regulations of protests.

4. Any person or persons against whom a protest is lodged, shall have the right to file answers to the charges.

5. Decisions by the Official in charge at track will be final on any and all protests, except as provided in Section 10.

6. Only a registered driver participating in that race event may file a protest.

SECTION 10 APPEALS

1. Right of appeal is hereby given to any driver who has been penalized for any infraction of rules, regulations, procedures or specifications of ARCA.

2. Such appeal must be received by within five (5) days after notification and shall be made in written form via Private Message.

3. Appeals will be dealt with in the order in which they are received.

4. The driver has the right to present their argument at the appeal meeting.

5. After the appeal meeting, the penalty may be increased, upheld, decreased or removed at the Official's discretion.

6. Decisions made by ARCA appeals committee on appeals shall be final and non-litigable.

NASCAR Rulebook

Qualifying Procedure

1.
A driver may only qualify one car per event.
A. Any eligible driver may drive a qualified vehicle (established qualifying procedures prevail).
B. All cars must make a qualifying attempt.

2. Starting position will be determined by time trials. A driver must complete on track activity as directed by Officials to be eligible to start the feature event.

A. Time Trial (Qualifying) Procedure

ORDER OF TIME TRIALS: Drivers will be called out to the track for a four (4) lap time trial. One (1) out lap, two (2) timed laps, and one (1) in lap.

All drivers will get one (1) qualifying attempt. A qualifying attempt is counted when the driver takes the Green Flag to start the first of their two (2) timed laps. A driver is allowed up to three (3) wave offs. A wave off is counted if the driver heads to Pit Road before taking the Green Flag. If a driver uses a Wave Off, they will be moved to the end of the qualifying queue.

The starting grid order will be set in the order of the fastest of the two (2) lap times for each driver. With the exception of the fastest three (3) drivers. Those drivers will re-qualify to set the top 3 starting positions.

In the event of duplicate best lap qualifying times, the results for which driver gets the position will be decided by the involved drivers next fastest lap with the slower driver placing immediately after the driver they tied with.

Daytona Duel Races
The Qualifying for the Daytona 500 will be split into two stages, Initial Qualifying and the Daytona Duels. Initial Qualifying will be run immediately before the Daytona Duels. The first Daytona Duel will include the drivers that placed in the odd positions from Initial Qualifying. (1st, 3rd, 5th, etc.) The results of this race will determine the Starting Grid for the inside row for the Daytona 500. The second Daytona Duel will include the drivers that placed in the even positions from Initial Qualifying. (2nd, 4th, 6th, etc.) The results of this race will determine the Starting Grid for the outside row for the Daytona 500. 1st and 2nd place from Initial Qualifying will start in 1st and 2nd positions in the Daytona 500 regardless of where they placed in the Daytona Duels.

Racing Flags
GREEN FLAG
The Green Flag indicates that the race has started or restarted. It is shown by the official in the flag stand when the leader accelerates in the designated restart zone or when the leader reaches the end of the designated restart zone, which is located a short distance before the finish line.

YELLOW FLAG
The Yellow Flag, or caution flag, indicates a hazard on the track or a scheduled competition yellow. All cars must slow down and follow the pace car. Passing is not allowed under the yellow flag. Cautions apply to the entire circuit. See the Caution Procedure section below for further details.

RED FLAG
The Red Flag indicates that the race has been halted. Drivers are not permitted to repair or adjust cars during red flag conditions. See Red Flag Procedure for further details.

WHITE FLAG
The White Flag indicates one lap remaining in the race. More specifically, it indicates that all drivers will be scored for at most 1 more lap after passing the White Flag. Once the White Flag has been called, the next flag will end the race, be it Yellow or Checkered.

CHECKERED FLAG
The Checkered Flag indicates that a race or qualifying is over. Once the Checkered Flag has been called drivers are to finish the lap they are on and then hold position. In Race Mode, drivers are to parade around at Pace Speed until completing all set laps. In Endurance Mode, drivers are to parade around until at Pace Speed until the Pit Entrance, where they will stop while holding position, allowing officials to record the results. Once the results have been recorded, drivers will be instructed to leave the track.

BLACK FLAG
The Black Flag indicates that a driver must pit immediately. This flag is shown if the driver or pit crew violates a rule (e.g., speeding through the pits), if the vehicle has sufficient mechanical damage that it is a hazard to other drivers, if the vehicle cannot maintain the minimum required speed (varies by track; typically disclosed in the pre-race drivers' meeting), or if a driver has been driving overly aggressively.

BLUE FLAG
The Blue Flag is shown to warn slow drivers of faster cars approaching. Drivers shown this flag are advised to move out of the way. Drivers will rarely be black-flagged for not obeying this flag; however, it is frequently displayed and warnings may be given if it is blatant (such as a lapped driver blocking for a teammate). Towards the end of the race, drivers shown this flag should drop back and follow the lead pack as to not interfere with the finish.

Caution Procedure
A Caution (Yellow Flag) may be called if there a collision of 2 or more cars which causes one or more to spin out or get engine damage, multiple cars spinning out at once separately, or if there is a damaged car causing a hazard. From the moment that the Caution is called the field will be frozen instantly. When the field is frozen, no passing is allowed unless the driver being passed is below Pace Speed by 10 mph. Drivers will hold their positions at the moment of Caution. In the event of a Caution, drivers will slow down carefully, to the pace speed of the track. When a Caution is thrown, do not slam on your brakes to slow down. If you slam on your brakes, and it causes an accident, you will be penalized.

A Caution is called by saying the word "Caution" or by typing "c" into the chat. To make the Caution official, the race director must acknowledge the Caution. When a Caution is called, drivers must acknowledge the Caution by repeating "Caution" over their microphones if able. Drivers without microphones do not need to do anything.

When a Caution is called, the Pit Lane will be immediately closed. Pit Road will be closed until a Race Director announces that it is open.

The Safety Car will pick up the leader when the leader approaches the Safety Car's location while at pace speed. Until the Safety Car is deployed, the leader will be responsible for maintaining Pace Speed. Once the Safety Car comes out, Pit Road will be opened allowing drivers to pit.

During a "Quickie Yellow" all cars may enter Pit Road the first time by when it is opened. During a full Yellow, only Lead Lap cars may pit the first time by Pit Road. The next time by, all cars may pit. Cars may pit as often as they wish at the expense of track position.
After the first round of pit stops, the first car a lap down at the moment of Caution (known as the Free Pass car) will get to go around the Pace Car and start the race at the rear of the field. The Free Pass car MUST pit at the time when lapped cars are allowed to pit. The Free Pass car does not pit as they are getting their lap back.

If the Free Pass car is judged to have caused the Caution (intentionally or not) there will be no Free Pass car. If the driver is a lap down because of a penalty, the driver will not be eligible for the Free Pass.
Aggressive driving and retaliations will NOT be permitted and drivers will be penalized accordingly. Drivers who hit other cars and cause damage during a Caution will be penalized. The Caution will be extended to allow the driver that was hit to pit again if pit stops have already occurred. That driver will be allowed to regain their position.

If a driver spins out during a Caution, racers will be allowed to pass that driver. (If drivers are already formed up behind the Pace Car, then racers will only be allowed to pass the driver that spun out as long as they do not exceed the pace speed.) Racers will not be allowed to pass the driver that spun out once that driver is back up to pace speed. If the driver that spun out is damaged as a result of their spin out, the Caution WILL NOT be extended. The driver that spun out WILL NOT get their position back.

During a Caution you may signal other drivers to pass you by ghosting your car while going below the pace speed. If you do this, you will only be allowed to take your position back at the call of the Race Director if you were typing something important in the in-game chat.

The field will remain under Caution until everything is set to resume racing under safe and fair conditions.

At the one to go signal, any car that is ahead of the leader of the race will be waved around the rear of the field. These cars are not permitted to pit until after the Green Flag comes back out and the race has resumed.

Red Flag Procedure
In the event of a Red Flag, all cars will come to a stop on the backstretch just before the Bus Stop Chicane. Drivers will give plenty of room to each other and slowly apply the brakes. It is recommended that the lead car count down their speed. All drivers will then hold the brakes and press Start to "ghost" their cars. Cars are to remain stopped and ghosted until the Red Flag has been lifted.

Pitting

Approaching Pit Road there will be a turn off point to enter Pit Road. After a certain point there will be a Commitment Line where drivers will not be able to change their mind and they must enter Pit Road, which will be announced by the Race Director.

Under Caution drivers may pit as many times as they would like. However, the first time by Pit Road will only be open to the lead lap cars. The second time by, all cars may pit.

Starts and Restarts
Starts and Restarts will be Double File. The leader will get their choice of lane for the front row. For the rest of the rows, odd positions will be on the inside and even positions will be on the outside for all of the rows. Drivers are not allowed to change lanes until after their car has passed the Start/Finish Line. If you're on the inside row and the outside row gets a better jump, you're stuck on the inside row until your car passes the Start/Finish Line and vice-versa.

The Restart order is always this: Lead Lap Cars > Disconnect Caution Cars > Cars 1 or more laps down > Free Pass Car > Wave Arounds > Cars that have received a penalty. Once the Pace Car has pulled onto Pit Road, the leader will have control of the field at Pace Speed. There will be a Restart "Box" at a point on the track that will be marked by the Race Director in the drivers meeting. Once the front row has entered the Restart Box, both cars are free to accelerate to take the Green Flag.

Overtime Procedure
If a Yellow Flag is called and the race would restart with two (2) or less laps remaining, the Caution period will proceed as normal. When the Green Flag is waved for the Restart attempt, there will be two laps remaining in the race. There will only be one Overtime attempt. If a Caution occurs before the leader reaches the Overtime Line, the attempt will not count and the attempt will be tried again until the leader reaches the Overtime Line under Green Flag conditions. If the leader reaches the Overtime Line and a Caution occurs, the field will be frozen and the Overtime attempt will be official. The race will not be restarted and will conclude under Caution.

For scoring purposes the Moment of Caution will be official 6 seconds after the wreck begins. However, if there is an incident during the final lap behind the leaders, and the run to the finish line is clear for the leaders, the Caution may be delayed until the leader has taken the Checkered Flag. This allows an opportunity for the leaders to race for the win.

For cars that are involved in the wreck, the cars must be back on the track and moving at a fairly reasonable speed comparable to the track and the Pace Speed Limit in order to hold position. Drivers will be allowed to pass cars that are still recovering from the wreck.

Penalty Procedure
To perform a drive-through penalty, follow the inside wall on the pit road approach as close as you can, this will force your car to reset and drive-thru Pit Road without pitting. Running a Pit Stop when you are required to do a Drive-through Penalty will result in another Drive-through penalty when you arrive at Pit Road after going around the track. When performing a drive-through penalty, drivers must still be at or under the pit road speed limit.

The following is a list of NASCAR penalties.

Pit for Heavy Damage
1. Driving a car with heavy damage, to the point where it is difficult to control the car, or with engine damage, will result in the driver having to pit to fix their damage.

End of Line Penalties
2. Missing the Driver's Meeting.
3. Having possibly entered your settings after qualifying your car. Please remain on pit road after qualifying.
4. Starting the race with a different driver than whom qualified the car.
5. Pitting when pit road is Closed. This includes drivers pitting when they are a lap down when Pit Road is only open for the Lead Lap Cars as pit road would still be closed for Lapped Cars. If a driver is already on Pit Road when Caution is called out, closing pit road; that driver will not be penalized.
6. Pitting out of order.

Drive-through Penalties (Green Flag) or End of Line Penalties (Caution)
7. Passing on the Pit Road from the inside on entry.
8. Speeding while entering Pit Road.
9. A Commitment Line Violation.
10a. Crossing the Pit Entrance Line, when entering Pit Road and/or not being within the Pit Entrance Lines on Pit entry.
10b. Crossing the Pit Exit Blend Line, when exiting Pit Road.

Drive-through Penalties.
11. Accelerating before the Restart Line on a Start or Restart. (AKA Jumping the Green Flag.)
12. Changing lanes before the Start/Finish Line after the leader has entered the Restart Box on a Start or Restart. This includes the lane changes caused by warming your tires.
12a. Being in the incorrect lane on a Start or Restart.
13. Accelerating before the leader at the Restart Box on a Start or Restart, if the offending driver does not give the spot back by Turn 2.
14. Passing on a Start or Restart before the Start/Finish Line.
15. Not being bunched up with the group on a Start or Restart.
16. Under Caution, passing after the second to last turn on the "One to Go" signal.

One Lap Penalties
17. Not serving a Drive-Through Penalty when required, or, in a more severe case, being removed from the race.
18. Passing the Pace Car.
19. Pulling up to pit; drivers must maintain position in relation to the field under Caution.
20. Passing a car under Caution that is heading to pit until they are on Pit Road.
21. Refueling car before race start OR when before the designated race distance, as in when a Competition Caution is to be called. Additional laps may be added to penalty.
22. Damaging a car under Caution if clearly avoidable. 3 Lap Penalty minimum.

Penalties Under Race Director Discretion
A Speedweeks Official may direct a Competitor to cease competition, to leave the racing lobby or to bring the car to the pits for a specified number of laps, and/or a specified time penalty for the balance of the race - or future races - if it is necessary to do so in order to promote the orderly conduct of the Speedweeks event(s). (Adapted from NASCAR Rulebook Section 9-12)

These can result in a simple restart at the tail of the field, a multiple lap penalty, or disqualification.
23. Disobeying a request from the Race Director.
23a. Request: Do not swerve/weave to warm your tires under Caution until the 1 to go signal has been given.
23b. Do not press Start to "ghost", "put your car on auto drive" under Green Flag unless you're in your pit box. It is allowed under Caution.
24. Intentionally causing a Caution.
25. Verbal abuse to an Official.
26. Disobeying a Black Flag or penalty.
27. Intentionally wrecking another driver.

End of Race
28.
If there are not enough laps left in the race for a driver to serve a penalty, then they will be penalized after the race by being dropped to the last position for the current lap that they are on. (Example: If a driver is on the lead lap and he doesn't have enough time to serve the penalty, they will finish as the last car on the lead lap, ahead of any lapped cars.)

Daytona's Yellow Line Rule
29.
Driving below the yellow line to advance your position is subject to a drive-through penalty, or if the foul occurs on the last lap that car will be regulated to the last car on the lead lap in official race results. Drivers may not complete a pass if any portion of that pass is below the yellow line. Drivers will not have to take the penalty if it is determined that the car that driver was passing forced the driver below the yellow line. Cars are allowed to pass other cars when they are "out of bounds", (below the Yellow Line) if they are doing so to avoid a wreck that is in progress.

Out of Race
30.
Failure to comply with a Drive-Through Penalty within 3 laps will result in a disqualification where the driver must go to Pit Road and wait there until the end of the race. Failure to do that will result in the Host leaving the race and kicking the offending driver from the room. The Disconnection Caution procedure will then be followed so that the host may rejoin the race. If a driver does not serve their penalty within 3 laps, but continues to finish the race and is not kicked from the room, the driver's last lap will be 3 laps after they received the order to go the pit road for the drive-thru penalty. This also applies for drivers that do not pit if they are damaged. This only applies if the Race Director saw the penalty during the race and the driver was told about said penalty. Otherwise, in the case of a Drive-through Penalty not being served, drivers will be scored 1 lap down for not serving the Drive-Through Penalty.

Post-race Scoring Note: If a driver was supposed to be scored as 1 lap down and they earn their lap back for scoring, when the game (correctly) shows them as ahead of the scored leader. That driver will not scored as on the lead lap until the correctly scored leader passes them, or they stay ahead of the correctly scored leader for 2 laps. Whichever comes first.

Probation
Under certain circumstances a driver may be placed on probation. When a driver is on probation, if they are seen breaking any rules (this includes not following the GTPlanet OLR and/or the Good Racecraft Guide) they may be banned for 1 or more races.

IROC entries? You must have a championship, prestigious race win or a Rookie of the Year. (Highest in points for your first season of a series that you did more than 3 races in.)
I did win the closest INBD Race ever....

Sorry but this year I can not participate in the Daytona speedweeks, I can watch some of it but I got school sports and practices. Good luck all

The INBD 300 has been moved to Friday, February 19th. This may cause schedule changes for Friday. We will still be having an Xfinity 300 mile race on Saturday, February 20th as scheduled. Stay tuned for more info.

If you're still on schedule to run the IROC race tonight, I would like to drive the safety car.

The IROC opener is going to be pushed to next week.

I'm going to pull out of the 500 due to the scheduling of the Race.

Sunday night around 5pm (estimated start time) won't work?

Annoucement: After the Sprint Unlimited ends, will be the practice session for the Daytona 500 that was postponed from this morning. Room open time to be posted later in this thread.
