I'm not buying into the Hawkmoon. I used it for about 3-4 hours earlier today, strictly pvp. Best I could manage was 20 kills in clash. I usually drop between 20-30 per game with other weapons. How am I supposed to play this thing, aggressive or passive? I have the aggressive ballistics and hammer forged perks selected and I'm 3/4 of the way through Ace in the hole.
 
Fireteam member got the Truth in the Nightfall when he got 18 kills. Ughhhhhhhhh.

Level it up to Ace in the Hole and play however you want, reloading after all your bonus rounds are gone.

Its definitely an aggressive gun. or at least it would be for me. when you say 'other weapons' do you mean other hand-cannons, or other weapon types?

My playstyle has always been aggressive but I can't do it with this gun for some reason. I tried changing sensitivity up and down from the 4 I play at. With thorn or fatebringer, I can usually get at least 20 kpg. Other guns are around that as well.I know its purely situational on the map and who I play vs, but I only had one game above 20 kills when using it. I switched to found verdict to see if I was having an off day and got 36 kills. Guess I just need to unlock the special perk and get used to the feel more.

Maybe its just the fact that you always wanted that gun, and now you have it your brain is stuffing you up? Some deep psychological going on right now. :lol:

Ha! Probably. Could have been the fact that I only had 4 hours sleep, worked 13 hours then played.

I found out that any of the kill x amount of hive bounties from Eris are best done in the abyss of CE.

Ok, just got the Universal Remote from a legendary engram... so now that is 4 engrams, 2 exotics... Is that really lucky, or is the chance higher than i thought?

Well I just got the Hunger of Crota while getting 0 kills. Soooooo hah!
 
Did Nightfall. Got Legendary Engram (3 Ascendent Energy) AND Mk. 44 (which was lower roll than the current one I don't use).

Yea it is, but I think they tweaked something. I got Hawkmoon on Wednesday from legendary engram then I got NLB as a crucible reward earlier today. People on reddit are getting more purples too.

I was trying so hard to join you guys @Patrick once I realized you guys were on your own but my console wasn't reading the disc and once I got it spirited everyone was in Orbit and Def was gone. Glad to hear you got something at least

Does anyone know exactly how useful the 'hair trigger' perk is? Anyone tried it out and actually felt a difference?
 
It's really only useful if you use the triggers to fire instead of the bumpers. If you use the triggers it allows you to get shots away much quicker than you could without the perk.

If you use the bumpers, like I do, then it's fairly useless.
 
Wow Xur helped me out a tonne this week! I wanted two things: the read death and the knucklehead radar. And he sells both!

I'm surprised I didn't get the same, I'm usually the one with the terrible luck.

From these same rounds I got Abyss Defiant, and Oversoul Edict. These would be the first two elemental guns that I've received since I started playing. I was pretty happy about it!

I also got a pair of boots, which I needed

I'm really happy that Xur is selling Red Death. It is one of the 6 exotic weapons I don't have that I want. I'll also pick up the Claws of Ahamkara. But I'm also disappointed that Bungie changed Xur's stock, because that means I won't be getting the MIDA Multi-Tool next week.
 
Well be glad they didn't alter the strike:
Omingul with Arc Burn, Lightswitch and Angry. Arc Burn only is the Heroic strike.
Also Iron Banner next week.
