Turned it on for five or so minutes, walked around the tower, decrypted some engrams and got a Tarantella and Saint-14; both at 310 even though I already have the latter, walked around the tower some more and then I quit the game.

Didn't even care to try anything else whatsoever.

You got farther than me. I just looked at the game case.

I hopped on the PS4 yesterday, looked at the thumbnail for TTK and just uninstalled it. Went on to play Driveclub for a few.

So, yeah...

Come on guys there's still some fun in TTK! Just get 6 of your friends and do some sparrow racing! Had a blast last night racing and goofing around!

Trying to one up me, eh? :grumpy:

I win. Suck it. :p

I'm okay with Driveclub, or Forza Motorsport, or any of the other eleventy racing games I have if I want a racing fix.

I originally bought Destiny when it first came out and traded it in just after the first DPC pack came out. I checked the price of it and the content and decided it wasn't worth buying.

I've now bought it again from the PSN sale for £24.99 (I think). I got Destiny, two DLC packs and the Taken King.

Old Russia seems different somehow, and my previously good weapons are rivaled in power by common stuff you pick up patrolling. :odd:

Edit. It was £24.75. Not a bad price for what is still an excellent FPS.

I went to a friend's house on Saturday, and he had Destiny. So I fired it up and logged in to my own account for a bit to check out some stuff. It was the first time I even logged into my Destiny account since 2.0. I looked through all my lovely exotics, then saw that I would need an exotic shard for each one to upgrade them, then I proceeded to shut the game off.

There was me thinking my legendary Scout A.F119X-RYL was under powered compared to these new more powerful Taken weapons with its mere 150 attack.

I was doing 605 headshot damage to Cabal Legionaries which was not quite one shotting them. :banghead: I bought a Suros WSC-17 at level 30 because it had 160 attack. That must be a one shot? No. 368 damage. :odd:

I tried some other uncommon/rare Scouts to see what would happen.

Trax Onus III usable at level 38 has 224 attack. Damage is 368.

Trax Devotio III usable at level 37 has 218 attack and at level 38 has 218 attack. They both do 605 damage.

Parallax PSM usable at level 35 has 197 attack and does 504 damage. As do the Radial PSM's I tried, one had 212 attack at level 37, another had 214 attack at level 38 and finally a level 40 version has 240 attack. Yup. they all do 504 damage.

I suppose I have to wait until I can get another legendary version or Xur has one for sale.

They probably have different impact profiles. It can be a bit confusing, but each weapon has its own impact and power.

You on PS4?

Isn't it because enemy damage from a particular weapon does not increase after you reach a certain level?

Might be that too. Its a little odd how damage works on pve enemies...
The most damage I have seen from one weapon in Y2 on a single shot has been Sleeper Simulant. At 294 fully maxed it managed 16k damage with no modifiers on the Paradox Heroic alternate boss.

I believe you can shoot the back spot of golgoroth with black spindle and get the max damage possible (either 99'999 or 999'999, I cant remember). Unfortunately his back spot doesn't count towards his health pool... :(

Well then that doesn't do much does it ?

OK. This is silly now. Xur is selling the Midas Multi tool. Great I thought. A scout to replace my A.1f19x-ryl. 280 attack from an exotic must do more damage than my 150 attack. Same test, Cabal Legionaries from the same place. A.1f does 605 so what does the multi do? 457! What?:banghead: update. After upgrading it to cqb ballistics it now does 469. Still rubbish and worse than a 197 attack parallax PSM.

Luckily the heavy weapon engram gave me a Gjallarhorn. That at least works like it should and out damages rare weapons.

Try the old one in the raid, then mida, and you will see exactly what the difference is. The game caps the amount of damage you do against low end enemies so that you can't go into old content and completely annihilate everything (as fun as that could be).

I found Eyasluna a while ago. I wasn't aware that it was a good gun. I used it today in Iron Banner matches. First match I had two 5 kill streaks (I'm not that good) just with the gun. It has good impact to begin with and yet it's coupled with the perks rangefinder and hand loaded. According to places it's a baby hawkmoon so I can't complain.

Wow. Not since December of last year has this thread been active.

New update, what are your thoughts? I love that it's fun and that gear grind is somehow fun in and of itself because of the scaling, multiple avenues of getting gear, and the 1:1 infusion (why this wasn't a thing from jump street is beyond me).

The game itself still has a problem with content; something as shallow as this should not be subjected to certain content moving forward while others don't.
