no dex drive and gameshark are both made by the same company a dex drive allows you to use your pc as one major memory card basically you plug in your memory card and you can make back up copys of it onto your pc or even a disc if you want really useful for the gt series considering you can only have one garge per memory card you can also download other peoples garages off the net however like previously stated it can only be used for ps and psone memory cards
