DFGT Cant change TC

Iv noticed lately I can't change TC and ASM on my DFGT trough the dial. I can only change ABS and Breaks. The option for TC is there but faded out this is for all cars. Anyone know what happened?

Same here I noticed that last night. I like to use it to start a race then turn it off while racing. I noticed it quit working last night. :grumpy: That wheel is suppose to be fully supported. Maybe PD decided to turn it off so we will buy the new wheel. That would be fully devious and naughty. :grumpy:

actually support for the in-game TCS changing was killed with the 1.05 update, same thing happened to mine, it's because people were leaving AIDS off before the race to gain more XP, then turning them on once they were in the race.

I never liked the dial on the DFGT I think it should have controlled Brake pressure and balance.

It doesn't work on controller either most of the time so it is nothing particular about the DFGT

That's odd mine still works fine on the DFGT I changed the TCS yesterday and again this morning in race no problem at all. Yes I am running 1.05 the only thing that may be different than the rest of you is up until a few days ago I was using a PWTS. My peddles went out on me so I switched back to my DFGT.

Maybe you just need to reset your steering options or disconnect the wheel and reconnect it.

Not true in both cases. 1 the in race TCS settings still works fine and 2 you get the same XP no matter what settings you are using.

I had the same thing happen to me. I notice that now if you go to Drivers Settings before the start of the race, there's a little clock icon next to the TCS. You can still change it,but not during the race. Odd....

Considering the fact that they nerfed the G27, it does seem to be the case with the DFGT too. This bs should be illegal, sabotaging for others out on the market.

You actually go slower around a track with aids on, so that doesn't seem to be the case. I believe they don't want competition with the new TR500 wheel, so they take out small functions like this (which means a lot to many people).

since 1.05, no more in race adjustments, DS3 or DFGT, Id like to know how that guy a few above with 1.05 still has it. Ive tried all suggestions listed here and I gave up a week or so ago. I got used to adj. before race,
but for longer races with tire wear being an issue, adjusting TCS on/up a notch to ensure near full tire wear for that extra lap when tires are almost done was pretty nice to have. Now I have no choice but to pit, if I question whether the tire will make it one more lap.

What's odd is I got our PS3 about 2 weeks ago and when I installed GT5 it immediately took me to the 1.05 update screen. I've been using the DFGT wheel since then and I've been able to adjust TCS the whole time. But yesterday (1/1/10) during an online gaming session with my buddies, I noticed that I couldn't adjust it anymore. One of my buddies said he turned that function off for the particular race we were all running. Now I wonder if he was joking and that's just when my TCS finally stopped working. Hmmm........

I am using a DFGT with 1.05 and still can change TC, ABS and more. Both DFGT and DS3. If you want a screen i'll do it after I finish this endurance race

Wasn't there a glitch with this function? In an online race with TCS disabled, you could just use the RA function to cheat by setting the TCS when the race has started.

Maybe PD tried to fix that and now the function can't be used altogether.

I think you might be onto something. I lost the TCS control after I went online racing. I wonder if the online racing writes to your profile and turns the RA off then carries it over to your offline racing?? 💡

I noticed it too, but only at the seasonal event. the time trial @ London.

so they probably switched it off to create similiar conditions. With other races it still works, have update 1.05, so nothing to do with that I suppose.

Which races does the problem occur? also there are some specials in wich the TCS is switched off as a part of the challenge.

OFF TOPIC: Can any of you with DFGT wheels navigate around in Photo Mode using the wheel? I can't figure out how to move the camera to frame up the shot. I guess I need to get off my lazy butt and hook up the controller that came with the PS3 (I've never used it).

@ mitchlewis; havn't tried it, but I think you need the controller. the controller is pretty handy to keep close while navigating, tuning and playing B-spec.

You can use it together with the wheel by pressing the 'PS' button and reasign your controller as controller 1 instead of 2. the wheel will work and you can use the controller to navigate through the menus.

Guys, if you go play on-line where TCS not allowed. it will be saved into A-spec or anywhere. So, basically if you play online then a-spec, you won't be able to change RA anymore. all I can say if your TCS still working and still want to use it, stay away from on-line until patch fix, oh always BACK UP your SAVE DATA.

I did started new game, but before i do, I was near b-spec 35 so i just keep push b-spec to level 35 and gift all my needed/rare car to my wife such as Formula GT, Ferrari 330 (Old race car cost 20 million... Got it via gift ticket for complete something). Once that done, I started new game, and I start with X2010 so i'll be able to complete much faster.. Day gone by, my wife gift all my car back.

Oh, if you tired of level up, all you need to do on-line event thing and it will jump you from 0 to 22 level in just few hour (got 8 gold in 2 of bonus races).

Thanks. Good info. I'll try it tonight. :)

I tried a few things tonight and the RA - TCS works in the Arcade mode for me but still not working offline in the A-Spec. :nervous:

Really... Dude... It's wireless.

It does.

I didn't know you could still use the Wheel! I have been using the controller while in B-Spec but then I would reassign it after I was done to go to A-Spec. Cool good info! Thanks! 👍

You don't need to reassign it to switch. I keep my controller assigned as 1 and the wheel is 2 and the result is I can race with the wheel and I can naviagte with the wheel but I can also do any of this with the controller as well but only when the controller is assigned as #1.

Hey guys, update: I went in a Online room and now I haven't got TCS changing in real-time. PD, please, patch it. I can only change ABS and brakes. Why not TCS? you can in a real car...

We should probably contact Logitec and complain to them. They would have better luck getting PD to create a patch vs PD listening to us. I've been so busy at work lately, that I haven't had time to call Logitec....heck I haven't been able to use GT5 much lately! (sucks)

i'v not had my ps3 online yet so i don't think i will till i've done gt
intreastingly i never knew about the additional xp points with off settings, i'll watch out for that
