Attention DIABLO Racers:
:D Several of you guys have already posted your Week #1 times & I know you're anxious to start on the next installment.

The Diablo Series Race #2 will be posted shortly.
WITH the following proviso: A minor RULE CHANGE may or may not be added tomorrow early, but it should NOT effect your getting in some laps tonite.

The set-up I "Inherited" from "Pokie" in Race #1 has improved my lap times enough so that the Week #2 Race is not as "tight" as I'd like. BUT having said that, I just had one of the Very Best 14 Lap races ever while re-testing Week #2!!!

Many Thanx to those of you still "On Board"...UB57 👍 :D

I got it a clean 1'10.352 it won't be in my posted time some of the other laps were dirty, all I wanted to see was 1'10.xxx after see 1'12.xxx or 1'11.xxx :D :D :D

That might not be too hard. Project Gotham Racing 2 came out for xbox yesterday and I hate to say but its an AMAZING GAME. I must have played it from like 3pm to 3am yesterday, no joke. I love how integrated the game is w/ xbox live. everything you do in the game gets uploaded to live and you can see where you rank against everyone else, you can download peoples ghosts to race against, if you beat em your ghost is uploaded, ive been working on time attack records and so far every race ive done im ranked in the top 10 :D out of 1000's, except for a couple races, but im still in the top 20. I thank GT3 and booms weekly for that. hehe

anyways, sorry to sound like an xbox fanboy (im really not! in fact i just BOUGHT my xbox for that game alone, ive resisted microsofts evil grasp until now :( )

anyways, time submitted, i hope im not too late, i forgot to send it in before i went to work this morning. cant wait for these results

I have one question for UB57. How will you determine the series Champion? Will you be awarding points so that those that run all the races will be rewarded for their effort? Just wondering.

Rule #12. Points will be awarded 1 for 1st, 2 for 2nd etc. DNFs will receive Points equal to twice the number of Participants in that week's race...UB57 :D

Final time P.M.ed to UB57 I got a 1'10.731 in my final but still not as fast as the 1'10.3xx I had earlier.
I had a great time with this one UB57:D nice job

Great job fellas! (to all those still in)

Personally, I know I don't stand a chance at a podium, but in that, you will find one of the qualities in myself I am proud of...

I dont quit just because I can't keep up.

I also want to make sure the those dropping out dont think I am assumming that is the reason for their with draw...

Im just saying that I knew I wasn't gonna be fast for this series, yet I still enjoyed the race itself and the group of racers. (this is almost like the elite weekly or something)

once again, congrats to all those that finished and even more so to those that won their race.

Also a big pat on the back to ub for getting this thing going... believe it or not, this is the first time I ever had the chance to run a diablo.

Well until results are up... good luck fellas.

Dammit. The one person that I usually have a close race with is bailing out.

Jpec, you and I have faced off in a number of Weekly races and I'm usually right on par with your times.

Real life gave me a DNF for this round. And I blew my best run on the last corner. That time turned in a 9'18 second run. How close was I to your time?

Believe me J, I can't even come close to the pros here, but I'm still trying. I figure if I can come up within 10 seconds of UB or Gokents, and withing 15-20 seconds of the top three, it's a personal goal that I met.

I've come to accept that I'll never beat any of the big names (unless I win the Lotto and retire tomorrow, in which case, I'll play GT3 like it was my job). So I have to aim for something different and still challenge myself.

Ask Boom, does he think he'll catch Flinx? (no slight to Boom here, but Flinx is an alien) Maybe someday, but not likely anytime soon.

I'll just come back next week and try again.

On topic of the race itself. This race was an absolute bugger. You really needed to nail that braking point on the first corner. If you did, you were able to slip up to third or second place. Then it became a battle of avoiding the AI as they braked in odd spots. The settings above were much too tight for my tastes, so Ihad to back a few things off. Brake pressure and suspension. I did tighten up the gearnig a bit, and it really made a difference. My best lap that I ever saw in the race was 1'09.863 (clean!).

I had forgotten how badly the AI really drive.
