Nope, not on vacation.

Am studying here:)

just got a new camera hence the recent pictures:dopey: because it got a hugee zoom range that i can use.

For the 1st shot of the pearl white gallardo, I was in a shop(LV at sloane street if you're wondering) when i saw the front of it thru the glass.
Like lightning, I ran out while taking my camera out hoping to take a shot but only managed to get it when it was turning round the corner.

And that driver gunned it down that short straight(where the cls was) and the sound was good:tup: . The interior was nice as well, in red.

And walking around harrods, i saw it again.

Untill you crash a brand new $350,000 LP640 into a lamp post... (apparently it was a rental)

:dunce:

They aren't outstandingly 'rare' overall, but it isn't nearly as common as the Beetle that it was based upon. That being said, I don't see the Karmann too often outside of the Summer here in Michigan, but when I went to Mexico a few years ago, there were quite a few down in there.

...Which reminds me: If you have seen Kill Bill Volume 2, Black Momba (Uma Thurman) has one in the movie, and if I recall correctly, it is a teal convertible. They made them as coupes and convertibles, although I usually see more coupes than anything else. My suspicion is that depending on the weather in your general location will largely decide what type of car is most like to been seen.

During my first year and a half at OU, parked outside of Owen Field, there was a yellow V-Dub Karman Ghia. I saw it every single day I had class for those two years. Now that I am rarely on that part of campus outside of game days, I have no idea whether it is still there or not. But this particular car was not in the best of shape. I do have to say though that the car is definitely interesting and it always caught my eye when I walked by it.

Digital-Nitrate
And I love the maroon color of this 997... even though it is Texas A&M's school color.

It is definitely a better color than shorthorn orange, though no where near as nice as Crimson and Cream.

I spotted a few things today (nothing outstandingly exotic):

2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer SS:

Not only are the Trailblazer SS' fast, they are also capable, and oddly enough this one is driven by a student here at Aquinas. Complete with the 395 BHP LS2 V8 from the Chevrolet Corvette, the Trailblazer (if I recall correctly) is the second-fastest SUV on-sale in the US, second only to the Jeep Cherokee SRT-8...

Late-model Volvo V70R:

Awesome, just awesome. I fell in love with these cars years ago, and this is no exception. Not only did they look great, they performed great as well, and I have to say that I love the car in this color. If you didn't know what this was, its likely you would have been surprised to see this station wagon blow your doors off light-to-light, and down the highway...

A 2000 Reflex-Yellow VW New Beetle:

These cars are fairly rare, I think fewer than 2000 made overall. They were only available through the VW website back in 2000, and I don't see them too often. The picture isn't very good with the reflecting light, but if you can picture a mix of mustard yellow and sunflower yellow, you can get the idea.

SO do these V-Dub's always come in weird colours? :dopey:

I thought the Typhoon and that Infiniti thing were faster SUV's?

*ahem*Cayenne*cough*

1) They don't build them anymore

2) The Cherokee SRT-8 tore the Porsche apart, and I believe the Trailblazer SS was on equal-footing with the 'basic' Turbo model.

That last part of my post goes along with another picture . . .

YSSMAN

I just looked at Porsche's website and they still have the Cayenne listed. You can even still Build and Price your Cayenne if you so wish. But I have no clue about the performance of any SUV, as I really do not much care for SUV and/or trucks.

Last I understood, they were on a model hiatus between 2006 and 2008 given the face lift, mechanical changes, model shifts, etc. Either way, the SRT-8 was still faster, and I believed handled and braked better as well. And even then, if you still wanted to spend an outrageous amount of money on an SUV, you may as well buy the Henessey 650 package for the SRT-8, and you're able to out-gun even some of the world's best sports-cars. Plus, they'll convert it to RWD too...

The current quickest-ever SUV rankings go like this:

1. Porsche Cayenne Turbo S
2. Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8
3. Porsche Cayenne Turbo
4. GMC Typhoon
5. Chevrolet Trailblazer SS

And yes, the Cayenne is still being made. Regardless of whether there was a gap for the 2007 model year, vehicles never ceased to be sold at dealerships, so you can get one new and always could.

Man, the GMC Typhoon IS Tehpwn. It's one of the cars I'd be happy with as a first car:

Buick Grand National/GNX
GMC Syclone/Typhoon
FCRX7
AE86
Datsun 240Z or 510
An older Nissan Z-car

Damn traffic!

I saw a BMW Z1 for a second today... in traffic.

Never seen one before on the roads.

Chillax, I'm looking for my digicam to put a picture up.

Well its a Holden which certainly makes it unusual in the UK, but beyond that maybe our Australian members can assist.
