wondered about this Boxter thing. no badges, chrome around tail lights???

I swear this is a Lancia, any ideas? Edit: alfa GTV6?

Boxster is just a regular one with some EBay specials around the tailights.

Second one is hard to call. It's definitely not a Lancia. I can't tell if the headlights are round or square. They look square to me from the picture, and the GTV had round headlights, but it does look like possibly an Alfa emblem in the middle. Possibly an Isuzu Impluse.

looks like this to me:

Spotted this Dodge Challenger R/T 383 Magnum while looking for a detailing shop for my friend who recently purchased an Audi A4 1.8t Quattro'02.

Is going to dinner in Adenau considered an event?

Well my first ever BMW M3 CLS:

I admit it was full of special cars (see the RS before the Turbo S behind), being at the ring and having a race just that day (I was on my way to a whisky event but wanted to stay overnight at the ring).

Great colour on the Challenger!
Few from me.

Does the 8 in 928 mean it has 8 cylinders?

I presume so. It's a V8 so i presume that's what it means.

I went to Woburn Abbey this weekend just gone. There was supposed to be a car show. But thanks to our great British weather it was cancelled. Only a couple of cars turned up in the end. There was also a wedding happening so took a couple of pics of the wedding cars.

Mazda RX-7. It had a full rollcage, custom dash with extra dials, big chrome Nos tank between the seats. It's spoiler had a few signatures on it to. It was parked up behind the House in the staff car park.

Best SLS I've ever seen! And that's including the internet and GT5! :dopey: I'd prefer it without the fabric roof though...

Interestingly, I think the fabric roof is better looking than the roof on the coupe. That is probably the perfect SLS for me, sans black interior (red please!).

(Rue,) Photos made in Nurburg (Nurburgring, Nordschleife), can I post them here or in the event thread? Becaus it's an open toll road and anyone can go there.. And it's not an event....

Each to their own I guess. I've never been a fan of the fabric roof on any car tbh. I'd guess that means no gull-wing doors either (I'd like to see them try it! :sly:), I'm sure it's more hassle than it's worth but I still think they're awesome

I'll stick my neck out and say that almost all of us would be in agreement that photos from the Green Hell definitely belong in the other thread. :)

+1 on Challenger color

And

Does the 8 in 928 mean it has 8 cylinders?

As a general rule of thumb, for anything other than the 911, with Porsches the last digit does denote the number of cylinders, ie. the 924 and 944 had four, 914, 916 (or 914/6) and the very rare 918 had 4/6/8 respectively etc. Not sure however why the 968 was thus named =/

What about the 917, 962, 961, 356, 912, 935, 550 and 959? ;)

And that the 911 was only called the 911 because Peugeot wouldn't let them use 901.

As stated, Porsche names are actually just their internal numbers, usually in the order they were developed I believe

OK a few too many exceptions to my "rule" though in fairness I was talking about road cars other than the 911/912, so there were still only a handful that bucked the trend :) I think race cars used the internal number only.

Also regarding the internal numbers, these were often different again, for example the internal number for the 944 Turbo was the 951, though these may count up from the "original" number ie. it might have been the 8th iteration of the 944. Confusing, and I regret trying to make sense of it now! :scared:

Although now i'm intrigued and going to look for a complete list of the internal numbers and their "common" model names, where applicable :)

these are from the past 2 or so weeks. very sorry for the horrible pics. working with a 0.7 megapixle iPod touch. :(

Your Chevelle is a Nova. But close. I like both the S2000 and the Rx7!

Oops. Ya do you know if there's a certain name for the S2K or is it just a custom part? I've seen some but not many like on the Internet.

That is just a custom hardtop. I cannot remember who makes it though and my quick (~20 seconds) Google search was no help. :D
