In MR2 land they are more commonly called vortex inducers or something odd like that. They are trying to get more air to enter the engine bay because the stock design has massive room for improvement. Most people route them on top of their roof, following that pillar, which is what I would have done.

BEETLE!!! (stupid blind spot)

Pooped my pants, *cough* SLS *cough cough* AMG. *cough cough cough cough*

I would say a mid forties Chevy/Chrysler but don't take my word for it, I'm very often wrong.

Tyger
Late 30s Ford V8 I think?

After some very brief research I found out its not a 1930's Ford V8 (ie. Model B), will do some on forties Chevy's/Chrysler's now 👍

1939 Chevrolet KB Master?

1937 Ford V8:

My bad, I put in '1930 Ford V8' and well, just got a load of cars that looked like Model T's.

👎

Ah, very cool, I wasn't far off then, I just missed the model, not the make.

Screw you. Also, the other thing is certainly a kit car, and it could very well be mounted on a VW chassis.

I need to know the year, make, and model of this please.

1937 Ford V8:

ixgkjq.jpg

Not a 1937, but a 1939 Ford Deluxe. A 37 Ford looks like this:
1937-ford-coupe-002.jpg

I think you're being a little pernickety there, my point was that it is a late 30s V8, my pic is actually a coupe rather than a sedan anyway, but was just to confirm it's a Ford V8. Furthermore the pic I posted is described as a '37 V8. If you happen to Google "Ford V8" you will see any number of pics of V8s dating from the mid 30s up to about 1940 including sedans, coupes and convertibles. Some are also labelled "deluxe" (but I think are still V8s), including ones with the styling in the pic you posted, but also some like mine too.

Confusing for sure but anyway, safe to say it's a late 30s Ford V8 :-)

EDIT: Also Google "Ford V8 Sedan" for a bunch more, there's even a 1940 model in LA Noire (not that they would necessarily have the name right!), and another one similar to your pic above is titled a "Ford Tudor Sedan". I guess Ford just offered a lot of options and styles around then. Personally I think they are nifty.

I'm not. Every year is different. Starting with the "fat fender" cars:

1936:

1937 you already saw, then 1938:

1939 as the car spotted:

1940:

1941, when car production stopped due to war:

each, as you can see, is plenty different from one another, and in the undergroundly world of early Fords, the year means a LOT towards the desirability/collectability of a car.

Don't be sad Tyger, you were second closest!:)

Nice day today.

1st gen Camaro
