Mmmmm. Nice, but if you buy a Lamborghini, you buy one to get noticed. It's just not a subtle car! Silver doesn't suit it in the way Orange or Yellow would.

I think Lambo have their strongest model lineup ever at the moment.

And even worse than silver:

If it was the SE I could understand, the black tones add a nice contrast to gloss white.

But an all-white regular Gallardo is madness (Or is it SPARTA?)

Lamborghinis must be in bright colours or black!

When will you people learn? :(

Totally agree - I'd never seen a white one before it and I've never seen one since. I've seen two in silver; they look average. White just takes one of the more stunning shapes in existence and somehow makes it boring.

Mhmmm for exactly the reasons above.

It doesn't draw attention to it.
If you want to remain anonymous, you'd be better off buy a 911 which looks (I think) at it's best in subtle colours (blue, champagne etc). 911's are ubiquitous, so standing out with bright colours is simply a lost cause. Therefore it may be of greater use to play it safe with colour, and be happy knowing people won't seem their being smoked off the line coming.

One thing I don't get with 911s, people see them so often they often forget that they're potent speed machines.

I saw a Sterling (only one ever seen--I'm in the U.S.) and a plum crazy RoadRunner yesterday--I think it was a '71. Being L.A., even though I'm in a suburbian boring neighborhood, there are occasionally nice cars passing through...

When I lived in New York, there used to be a white Countach a few blocks away near my friend's house.

Good spot! Also, I don't think I have ever seen so many silver hatchbacks in one photo!

Just to say something on this, they were probably "bodyguard" cars.

Also, I saw a tan Camry wagon yesterday.... I love the way they look.

Living in Atlanta I've seen dozens - I think the shape is truly beautiful. The beast is the S-class - those are gigantic.

Today arriving home early from school was quite good-

Evo VIII MR (There's just something about EVOs that stands out)
Hummer H2 (The H3 soon to be not-so-rare)
Aston V8 Vantage Roadster (First AM Roadster I've seen)

There were no 'bodyguard' cars with that Noble, especially not boggo-stando 307's. Nothing short of 400bhp was going to live with it the way it was being pushed! ;)

here's the Fiat 2000 Spyder i mentioned, the first good-looking Fiat i have ever seen ;)

Here is the album link to more and bigger pics of it (including interior) and the other stuff i mentioned

Were most of those photo's taken in the same car park?

Yeah, indeed, in fact i took all of them within about 40 minutes i think. I actually hadn't planned it but i had the camera with me because of the beautiful weather and whilst walking to university i stumbled across the first 2 Porsches and thought "hey, why don't you take some photos...". The Fiat was the last interesting car i saw ;)

I think I saw something rare today, or atleast rare to me. A Toyota Tacoma PreRunner V6. Rare? I've not a clue, I've never seen it though.

I also saw a fairly rare car (not telling ;)), saw where it lives, gonna take pictures tomorrow.

Remember the G35S posted a few pages back that everyone thought was just a questionnable mod? Well, it's real. It's the new G35 Sport. I saw it in a car comparo with a TL type S and some other car in Road&Track.

No - quite common on both the old and new Tacoma.

Yeah, "pre-runner" means off-road. Someone already had the name trademarked so they couldn't use it.

Not to rare, I see them on a daily basis, I just dont notice them there.....

You learn something new every day

Yeah, we looked it up when I posted it and determined that.

I went to our local motor show, lots of cars like Ferrari 599, Audi R8, couple Diablo's, Coutach, Muira (real not concept), Camaro concept and many other new cars which are all motor show pics so I won't bother posting them.

but

I did find something awesome in the car park before I entered, I'll post it up later when I upload my pics from the camera.

Well, my spots aren't as good as the Elan last week, but these were pretty good:

- Cadillac XLR

I caught him while driving home hurridly from my last class, as I had to be to work in short order, and had to pick up some things. Anyway, he pretty much was tail-gating me all the way through East Grand Rapids, and once the road opened up to the quasi-two-lane thing there, he took off, but the guy in the Trailblazer showed him who was boss... And I have no idea why anyone would actually put bumper-stickers on the back of a XLR...

- Saab 9-5 SportCombi (Just for Doug)

mar30005he2.jpg

I figured he would like it. It really stood out in the parking lot at work, and I have no idea who's car it was. BTW: Does anyone know what state in Europe has an all-red license plate (like this one)? I know most of the UK is all-yellow, and I have never seen one like this before...

...and the piece de la resistance...

- A Roush-powered Panoz Roadster

I caught the car at school before I headed in for my last class (you can see my Jetta there in the top-right in the last picture), and I was rather surprised. You don't see the cars too often in general, much less at a private 'catholic' college... Oh, and those are Florida plates... So I'm not sure if it is a student's car, their parent's car, or a professor's car...

I'm a bit disappointed I didn't get to see it come in or take-off...

Had Chrysler the stones (or a proper engine) to release a V8 powered Prowler, that would be it.
That being said, I highly prefered the Prowler over the AIV Roadster anyways. If only you could get a manual tranny in the Prowler...
What the hell was the car to the left of the Saab?

I saw two E39 M5's within five minutes of eachother.
One was black:

And the other was dark blue, though I didn't get a picture of it.

Nothing amazing, I know, but I very rarely see these around where I am.
I must say that I love having a camera phone, now that I have one. I get spots on a weekly basis, instead of an almost-never basis (because I'm hesitant to carry a $400 camera wherever I go).
