Is this an M5, or just a normal 5 Series?

Unfortunately mate, it's just a normal 5 series. You'll recognize the M5 by that typical diffuser covering the exhaust pipes completely at their top and their sides. Also, M5 has wide chrome side indicators bearing the M logo. Finally, look for M logos on brakes :)

Not sure if this qualifies as interesting around here, but they are a rare sight in these parts.

It does, definitely - it's always nice too look at one of those tiny rockets. If you see anything unusual/rare/awesome in your opinion or if there's a kind of story connected with your sighting, feel free to post it here ;)

How's this for a spot? :sly:

DOUBLE COMBO!

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but it doesn't look like an E-Type Jag to me.

Do an image search, yes it is an E-type, but the convertible is admittedly quite a bit more beautiful...

Personally, I think the coupe is far better looking than the drop-top. Not to say the roadster isn't beautiful though.

Karmann Ghias are always nice! But seriously, you're in SLO? If you just hunt around a little, you'll find better stuff there (or within 20-40 miles) than almost any place else in the US.

Well I did see a group of 3 Gallardos on Hwy 101 last year while moving in, and an R8 driving around on campus last week. Didn't have a camera ready though. And a few vipers downtown now that I think about it. I just never have my camera ready.

And I only have a bike here so not really around cars and traffic that much anyways.

As if the standard Phantom wasn't long enough...

Anyways, here are my spots from the weekend:

Is it in front of the Jag? If so, it's a Hyundai i10.

^ All three Scion xB generations in taxi form!

^ I know, my bad on that one...but seeing the 2nd version of the 2nd gen is a huge improvement and its days are numbered. I consider it as an another gen. ;)

-> I took these xB shot because its rare to see them together other than some Scion meet. :indiff:

L300: 👍

xB taxis: :yuck:

BTW, there are 2 2nd-Gen xB's and 1 1st-Gen xB.

I don't know the model admittedly but it looks like 3 different gens to me, the front of the first two is different in a number of ways.

But perhaps I am misunderstanding!
