That REALLY sucks. An original '67 GT500 CONV!?

That's some rare car right there.:guilty:

Rare is right, it was the only 67 con't ever made. It was supposed to be scrapped by shelby since it was the prototype and 68 would be the first year for the convt. Instead it was stolen and later recovered and sold as a 68 convt.

When my parents were going through there divorce (this was 6 years ago) i was 12 and didnt really understood, nor imagine what it would mean to my future. My mom had the judge court order the GT500 and Mustang (the only two my dad had left by then) to auction. My dad wasnt informed until a couple days before hand so his hands were tied. My dad claims he had an offer for $95,000 but i had know nothing of it until after the car was auctioned off at some dinky place for all of $40,000. To throw salt in our wounds the mustang sold for just $5,400. The guy who bought both of the cars owns Volo Auto Musuem (IL) and from what i told claimed that the cars were 'dirty' and the title wasnt guranteed.

Now Volo's asking price is some between 1 and 1.5 million, and i do not have a car of my own.

OMFG Your mom is such a 🤬 man....what a loss, I can't even start to describe how I felt towards your mom. So, basically, she stripped your dad of every car he had?

Im surprised my dad didnt like attack my mom or something because of what she did to him, if he kept those cars, jesus thats well over $1.5 million. Challengers are going from 50-70 grand around here

50-70 Grand only?? You're kidding...

Imagine the fame your dad would've had with the '67 GT500.

You dad is one hell of a nice person, not attacking your mom or filing lawsuits or somthing...

Anyway, lets keep it on topic.

My dad's had a cornucopia of cool 3-Serieses (Serii?) such as this shape

Ahhh the Renault 25! - my dad had one as a company car when i was 17, he kept for a year or so after he'd had it replaced, since it was the V6 it made a decent tow-car. I used to use it as 'my' car when i was 17/18 and saw 137mph* out of it on the M1 (almost double the legal limit 👍 )

* i know it was an actual 137mph because with it being a Renault it's electrics never worked properly, including the speedo, so we had to work out the speed by the revs of the engine and the gearing. ;)

whaha I must say it's a decent car, but my parents had it in (*hpmf*) beige color.....ow I hate that color :D

Beige - nice!

Ours was silver, but it was the older pre-facelift version of the 25.

My dad (step dad) had a 65 El camino and a 67 Chevy truck. He lost the 65 El Camino in one of his divorces.
I got the 67 Chevy truck when I turned 16 as my very first vehicle. :)

my dad used to have a 1975 Chevy Nova wich he bought for $1,700, Complete with a 350 with headers, edelbrock carb and intake, a 4 speed, American Racing S200 wheels, and all. it was really cool, then he sold it to an uncle who totalled it when driving drunk.
also had a Renault 12, electric metallic blue, was very cool, it had a weber of some sort. Also, two Brasilias and an assortment of VW Bugs. He also owned my beloved 82 Fairmont Wagon, wich he sold at my back -_-
My mom and her sisters had an old Studebaker, but it was sold before I was born. My grandfather owned a 1949 GMC Panel, a 1950 Buick 4 door with a striaght-eight, and a lot of other cars I dont even remember.

My mom had a '94 1.8 hatchback in burgandy, nice. I didn't put it in because I didn't thik it was classed as 'cool'

My Dad also owned a FIAT X1/9 in the 80's. My Mom shared driving it. She had an 87 Suzuki Samurai JX fully loaded. Traded it in for slightly used 98 Isuzu Amigo 4x4 w/ a 4 cylinder. Nowadays an 05 Grand Caravan is what she's driving

My mom had a Datsun F-10:

And I have the Rolls-Royce Owner's Club coasters to prove it

When i was 3 or 4, we had a Ford Capri like this one but light blue above the red line and a dark blue below the red line

I was very young then and didn't know anything about cars apart from that my dads ford capri was a cool car. It was VERY unreliable though....
