In this game of LIFE, I like my chances going forward!

One of my absolute favourite gaming franchises. The original Syndicate is probably my favourite game on the Amiga and I played Syndicate Wars to death on PlayStation and PC.

I didn't know about the existence of this mod and now I need it in my life!
It is a brutal game, both of them are absolute classics along with the Amiga version of Cannon Fodder (with the original soundtrack). The mod is the icing on the cake & they're still working on it apparently.

Started playing Technomancer a little bit. Got it on sale on PA Store a few months back. Enjoying it so far. Tried to finish Rise of the Ronin but I literally got stuck and couldn't figure out how to progress. I guess need to look a video or something to get out that section. Also I having messing around the Sonic Racing cross Worlds open beta this weekend. That has been fun. I had to do the Gran Prix before I could go online. I was actually able to race online w/o PS+ which is really cool. Online racing was actually fun and chaotic and no lag.My 10 yr old son declared Sonic racing is the greatest racing game ever🤣

Chefs kiss to you Mr Grumpy for the mention of Cannon Fodder!

Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed (PS1) - After nearly 25 years I am playing the PlayStation version of this game (tried the PC one and it's not the same, of course) for the first time since my brother destroyed my disc in a fit of anger. I never got to finish it back then so it's pretty wild to be playing again after all this time.

Is it as good as I remember? Oh, absolutely not.

Today after 50+ hrs (61 hrs, actually) I finished AC Shadows (PC/Xbox Series X). A fine game in all respects, but I can't help to think that the game's structure/length led to an almost non-climatic finale. Anyways, an expansion (Claws of Awaji) is set to release a week from now, and I'm looking forward to that. One of my favorite games of this year, but probably not my GOTY, we'll see. 9/10.

I found a new animal species in the 662nd hour of No Man's Sky. New things are still coming out.

It rose to the 2nd place in the list of high-hour games on PS5.

Finished mgs3 delta.
A bit disappointed in the end. Was expecting more.
Bought it (I had to, because it has "Metal Gear Solid" in the title), will probably get stuck in at the weekend.

I am hoping for the original MGS3 experience just with a bit more polish, so hopefully I won't be disappointed.

It was very very close to the original. Closer than any remake ever. The cutscenes are the same as the original but with top graphics. There was no redesigning.
The areas are the exact same (but with top graphics), there are loading screens everywhere. So if you still remember grozy grad from mgs3, you wont get lost there in delta.
The gameplay is trying to recreate mgs5 inside mgs3, but never fully reaches the freedom of mgs5.
The gameplay is more polished than original, yes. But is nothing new. The guards behave the same. (oh and The End...feels like he was toned down/nerfed).
I replayed mgs3 right before delta released and probably I shouldn't have done it because they are so close.

Yesterday, my wife and son and I started playing Stardew Valley. Three people are very good. The first few days are spent helping each other. After a week, the battle for logs and stones begins :)

The vibe in the career mode is still great though

I am looking forward to playing it through (again). Wonder how many of the Kerotan locations I remember!

I also see Space Marine 2 has got a chunky update, so need to find some time to properly look at that over the weekend.

Hollow Knight: Silksong (Switch)
Indiana Jones Order of Giants DLC (XSX) - Was great until a puzzle glitch forced me to stop playing!
Cronos: The New Dawn (PS5) - I'm already 15 hours into this and love it. As a surivial horror fan this feels like a combination of the best games. Dead Space with Alan Wake 2 weirdness and Resident Evil item management. My favorite game this year.

After finishing the Tokyo Xtreme Racer (just realised I've been spelling it wrong) early access campaign I went on to try a few things.

I accidentally finished Assemble With Care because it's about an hour long, it's nice but I think I could've enjoyed something much longer if it kept getting more complex. It might be the first game I let my son play (in a couple of years).

I tried CarX Street since it's on a free weekend but it performs pretty badly on my Deck and the AI voices are irritating so I didn't give it much of a shake.

Luck Be A Landlord was quite fun but I can't see it being a roguelite I return to very often, I have no idea how far I got but I didn't understand what I was doing at all and just kept going, maybe I was just lucky or maybe I wasn't doing as well as I thought.

Lego Bricktales I played for one whole minute before I decided I wasn't in the mood, so I'll go back to that later. I thought it'd be like Builder's Journey and it wasn't (at least not immediately).

Power of Ten would be exactly my thing if it wasn't a roguelite, as it is I can't see myself playing it too much. Fun, though.

RoboCop: Rogue City is great, though. Had very low expectations going in and found it to be an enjoyable AA shooter of the sort I've been missing since the PS2 era.

Downloaded RoboCop: Rogue City a few months back but hadn't got around to playing it until this weekend. I wasn't expecting much from it, although i know it was well received when it came out, but it absolutely nailed that future-in-the-80's asthetic. The enviroment graphics are spot on and really well detailed but its perhaps let down by some of the characters faces in the cut scenes. They have very detailed textures, but their facial movements and the lighting on them feels a couple of generations old, which really sticks out compared to the level of detail in the background. I've also found it to be a bit glitchy, even in the the short time i've played it, but nothing so far that spoils it.

In a way it remins me a lot of Star Wars: Outlaws, which i played through recently. They both got their respective film enviroments absolutely spot on - i totally felt like i was in the Star Wars or RoboCop 'worlds' whilst playing them, everything about them was completely authentic in feeling. But as with Outlaws i feel the gameplay may quickly get repetitive and the maps restrictive once the novelty wow of the visuals wears off. Still, i imagine it will be a fun if single play-through sort of game.
Had an unexpectedly quiet weekend so put some hours into RoboCop. Turns out that 20 hours is plenty to extract everything you can from the experience (played it on 'normal' level). So slightly disapointingly short, but there is some DLC available to extend that if you so wish.

I'm not a completist by any means, but i'm showing 96% complete even though i've finished it and sat through the end credits

Listen. You guys are most likely sleeping on HELL IS US.

Not for everyone, but if you are into mystery / puzzle / exploration games CHECK THIS ONE OUT!

It's only $50 and it's fantastic.

Definitely on my radar, just happened to launch around the same time as many other good games so it may be a few weeks/maybe months before I get to this. Glad to hear it is good, though!

I wasn't prepared for how funny Robocop is, not just the writing either (which is pretty funny). Just an amusing image, playing this walking tank, gunning your way through a sea of enemies, taking the occasional break to pick up the stolen handbags and incriminating documents they've left behind - and why do so many gangs keep documented evidence of their crimes, anyway?

I think there was a missed opportunity to show Robocop in the cut scenes with a load of recovered handbags over his shoulder and paperwork in his empty hand.

I definitely feel like the developers "got" the tone of Robocop 1 and 2.

The game is very faithful to the acid humor of the movie, which works both as a satire and an effective action thriller, and where the criminals were also very sloppy, probably because the police was underfunded and overwhelmed.

Finished Rogue City and immediately started NG+, wish I'd chosen a higher difficulty though because with all the skills (except focus) maxed out my usual strategy in combat is to either stand still and let them kill themselves with ricochets off of my glimmering torso, or calmly walk around the arena to punch them in the face.

I do think it was a bit too easy to make the Auto-9 overpowered, looking at the 6.0 boards I can't see anything there that's worth all the very specific processors you need to dodge penalties over the one I have which has full auto, the thing to reduce spread, +120% damage, +100% reload speed and 107-round capacity, it melts everything. If there was a way to grind processors I probably would've engaged with that but since they're a finite resource and the best boards require a large number specific shapes I can't really be bothered. That and the glitch sequences are probably the only two things I don't love about the game.
