I do like the "new" dash cam a lot. Still notice that most of the time I stick to close chase cam in DR2.0. It seems the best for me for evaluating where I am and how to tackle the next corners.

What is up with the water splash in Dirt Rally 2.0 on Xbox One X? For example on Wales Sweet Lamb the water splash in Dirt Rally 1 looked and sounded great. Now in DR2 on X1X there is barely any splash (both sound and visuals). It’s really disappointing.

PJ could you check with the devs what’s going on here? Surely this cannot be intended.

Am I allowed to quote myself just to bring some attention to this? Does anyone else have a very underwhelming water splash experience compared to DR1?

Heavy engine sound issues since last update...
After every service area the engine sound is gone, toggle the camera don't fix it,nor a restart... only rebooting the game makes comeback the engine sound until next service area....

Didn't happen before 1.9(1.15) update on my standard PS4..
Didn't got any sound issues until now since launch sincerely.

Also reported on Codemasters forum...

Dirt rally 2.0 get parked until next update that I hope will fix this anoying engine sound issue

I enjoy all stages but Greece, Wales, NZ and Aus the most. The cars are all fun with unique handling, which is cool. 95 + 01 Suby, R5 Skoda and the old Porsche are a few standouts for me.

Greece and Wales are still my favorites but Spain and NZ are cool as well, heck with the proper car I even start to like Argentina a lot (it was for sure my most disliked location at launch). Monte Carlo and Germany have improved a LOT compared to DR1 as well thanks to the much better tarmac handling. I would like USA as well if it wasn't for the hidden rocks and logs in the foliage.

As far as favorite cars go, I can't really say much on that yet as I always keep driving the Historic H1 FWD cars. That Citroen feels bulky but it sure has grown on me, I think it's my favorite of those 3 cars. In the RX department the S1600 class feels best to me, the rest has a bit too much horse power for my controller taste. :)

To learn the tracks I used the Mini first. When I thought I was ready for the faster cars I often use the classic ones but also the R2&R5. Ford Escort and Opel Kadettski are my memory lane cars. With both I "raced" in the early 90's.

Same tracks as mentioned above. Marynka also my favorite (complete coincidence but that's also the name of my wife. I always think about her when riding Marynka...track).

Poland Marynka is one of my favorites with an Ford fiesta R5 or an Audi quattro Gr.B.

The stages I've tried in Poland so far are fast as hell. It takes alot of precision with the fast narrow bends following the jumps & the bumps. Really fun.

I can't say that I'm skillful enough to drive a Gr. B yet. Eventually!

On playstation I noticed changing the sensitivity helped a lot. I set steering sensitivity to 100, steering linearity to 2 and steering deadzone to 0. Gave the cars a much directer feel. Also manual shifting helps a lot because you can downshift in the corners to carry more speed during the slide.

I really like the progression in this game, I started with the historic races, so you get slowly introduced to the faster cars. And practiced a lot with the Audi quattro Gr.B because there was a throphy where I needed to use it.

Also does anyone know where patch 1.16 is for? It is a 2.3GB download, seems quite large so close to the last one.

I like the 08 impreza, and the 208 WRX car, the new England stages I seem to have the most fun on, despite making the same mistakes in the same place over and over again. So far Latvia is my favorite RX track.

One amongst the many things that I enjoy is the differences in gravel surfaces from one location to another. AUS is rugged, hard gravel and it translates so well to the FFB. Then you have New England in the US that has much smoother gravel which makes for a less violent drive.

And how about that Peugeot 306? What a joy to drive.

Is there a reason why Group B rallycross cars cannot be used in career mode? I'm also curious whether the few 2019 cars will have the same restrictions when they're added.

@PJTierney can you help ? I've just installed DR2 to my Xbox day one edition from disc and when I load it states game pass edition ??? It's even shown up as a game pass game when I filter my games ? Is this normal ? Is this going to trip me up further down the road when my game pass expires ? Confused.

Edit: I ejected the disc and it loaded up without it so it would definately seem to be game pass edition. Should I delete and reinstall ?

I absolutely love this game. The gameplay is so addictive. The graphics are beautiful, the gameplay is fun (mainly frustrating but that’s what I love, the brutal difficulty the more intense and fun it is). Always on the edge of my seat, one more event becomes a hundred more. I said one more event at 10:30pm now it’s 1:49AM  I know they’re different type of games in terms of difficulty / simulation however it’s a HUGE improvement over DiRT 4. I couldn’t last 20 minutes on that game without getting bored, however I could do an all nighter on DiRT Rally 2.0, the atmosphere is amazing the game feels so alive.

Got Season 1 & 2 today for £10.99 on the PS store. Had a blast with the content. £10.99 should be the normal price for these content packs at least, I think £19.99 usual price for each season pack is a bit much but that’s just my opinion. No hate by the way, just feedback.

DiRT Rally 2.0 - Super Deluxe Edition is on sale (50% off) for 54,99€ in Europe till October 15th.
I might get the game now :gtpflag:

I just bought it. Although a little shocked to see the DLC prices. I bought the base version, didn't quite feel like losing the sensation of a buying it on sale by opting for the super duper hyper deluxe version instead.

I must say that the 911 RGT is the biggest love/hate relationship I have in this game, being probably the hardest car to drive due to it's rear engine layout and massive power. Once you do finally understand how to control it however, it becomes a very rewarding experience :)

After hours and hours of practice, I completely agree! Winning the rallies, hell even getting a podium feels very rewarding. Even losing! Never played a game before where losing feels rewarding  Absolutely love Dirt Rally 2 can play it all night long and not get bored of it.

Despite my love for all things 911, the RGT is probably my least driven car in the class because I am terrible at controlling it, but I should really give it another try. Speaking of Rally GT cars, I am loving the BMW M2 it sounds real nice and handles well.
