Head 2 Head - Rally Australia / Escort Cosworth - SLRE and Dirt Rally 2.0



Audio and graphics are a step above SLRE but what isn't :dunce:. However the 30FPS game has a lot better sense of speed than the 60FPS :odd: It also feels more immersive.

Any comparision between DR1, D4 and DR2 in the pipeline @Scaff ?

I think I prefer the wet tarmac visuals in D4. Less glassy and more realistic

Also, don't feel bad man, I've slid down that hill in Spain multiple times. Just did it last night in the weekly, so deceptive in the rain. :D
 


Love the Fabia 2005, so much fun. Also shoutout to @PJTierney for the controller settings, they feel fantastic.

Ps. Apologies for the poor quality video. Cant figure out the best way to record decent quality longer videos.

^I'd say you have sensivity set too high, linearity probably too. I see you suffering from understeer on entry, and some apparent twichiness affecting your counter-steering.

I have sensitivity to 100. It's pretty comfortable for me. I usually dial the understeer out through car setup if I need to but I prefer a neutral to understeering feel. I think the twitchyness is exacerbated in the replay angles, it never feels quite as twitchy as it looks.

How do you have your pad settings?

The twichiness I was observing might be caused by high linearity setting along with the, now that I've learnt of, extreme steering sensivity you've got there. The understeer on entry is caused by this too, and I wouldn't advise that regardless one's preferences. You can reduce that crazy 100 by a good margin and still have good rotation on entry without the understeer.

If you don't want to reduce your steering sensivity from 100, then leave it there try reducing your linearity to 20 in case you had this one too high too, or even 50. Set it at 20 and see if you like it (your inputs will feel natural, but the extreme sensivity for the steering will still be a factor)

My xbox1 controller settings is 60 steering sensivity and 20 linearity. Steering deadzone 15. Throttle and handbrake inputs should be the ones determining your corner negotiation, not crazy steering and linearity.

Try those and report back

You have to try the Subaru WRX STI (NR4) at Centenera in Spain. You really won't regret it. Smiling from ear to ear guaranteed.

The linearity doesn't go to 20? I had it on 2 but it only goes to 10.
