Dirt Rally 2.0: Video thread

The twichiness I was observing might be caused by high linearity setting along with the, now that I've learnt of, extreme steering sensivity you've got there. The understeer on entry is caused by this too, and I wouldn't advise that regardless one's preferences. You can reduce that crazy 100 by a good margin and still have good rotation on entry without the understeer.

If you don't want to reduce your steering sensivity from 100, then leave it there try reducing your linearity to 20 in case you had this one too high too, or even 50. Set it at 20 and see if you like it (your inputs will feel natural, but the extreme sensivity for the steering will still be a factor)

My xbox1 controller settings is 60 steering sensivity and 20 linearity. Steering deadzone 15. Throttle and handbrake inputs should be the ones determining your corner negotiation, not crazy steering and linearity.

Try those and report back

Gave it a go and couldn't really get a good feel. Tried for a few days to see if I could improve but couldn't. @PJTierney still has the most comfortable controller settings for me.

Watching all of these videos with a sense of regret that I can’t get any wheel settings right :(
That's strange, after reading so many posts about this i fired up DR2 again, and just as i remembered, it felt immediately fantastic. Feeling the smallest dip on the road, car weight shifting and balance, smooth edge of traction on braking, turning, accelerating, changing direction near the limit.
Even on tarmac, especially on tarmac, it feels superb to me. And on dry,wet and any surface.
And each car different and as good.
I guess i can count myself lucky.
Im on std ps4 using a g29 and cockpit view.

For me it's a jewel with great sound, looks, well optimised, great replays, physics and crashes hehe, feel and control, good tracks..

Makes me giggle from fun each i try it.
