dirty cars?

Ok so I'm doing the 9 hour endurance race right now and I'm on the final hour and I've noticed that the rear end is kind of dirty looking. Now I'm wondering if it will stay this way until I do a car wash? Or is it a race by race basis?

It shouldnt stay but I've heard of it glitching sometimes.
Car Wash will/should get her right.
Believe it or not I actually got a PP boost form a car was once, coincidence?

Could very well be a coincidence but I once heard someone say that they thought a car wash slightly improved handling.

If a certain set of wheels can *apparently* make your car faster in drag racing, I wouldn't doubt it if washing your car improved the handling, considering how broken Gran Turismo 6 Beta-- I MEAN Gran Turismo 5, is.

It is true. I dont know if you remember what Shells_n_Cheese went through, proving his BMW M5 time was legit, by giving up his entire tune, specific rims and proving that the gear ratios change (on some cars) when you apply the BBS_LM_R's.

It had been rumored/known for a while, aftermarkets made some cars faster. We just didnt know what Rims, nor realized the ratios changed after the installation. Because no one could get his ratios he finally "revealed" what was happening.

Well, for what it’s worth, GT Auto’s description of the car wash says “A wheel wash and tire wax is also included”, and of wheels, “Lightweight alloy wheels improve driving performance”. Neither one shows numbers that reflect those things, but then again, neither does Chassis Maintenance.

So maybe shiny really does go faster?

Based on car feel, I think the aftermarket rims improves the car's braking and acceleration.

I also believe that when the car is dirty that the handling tends to feel a bit off

If they gave performance numbers for rims that would be nice. Some rims are lighter than others. Ect. And I would belive a dirty car having less aerodynamic flow. The slight increase in weight due to dirt shouldn't matter much.
