I actually liked the pilot. I think I like it better than Wakanda Forever. My expectations were on the floor going in but I like the shot selection, the production, the lead actress Dominique Thorne and the rest of the cast. I even like the soundtrack. I also like retooling Parker as a crooked techbro instead of just some bad magic dude although that may change later in the show.

Guess I'm in the target market for this show even if that target market may be diminishingly small. Although judging by the review bombing I'm not sure about that. This isn't Secret Invasion bad. It's held my interest so far.

Onto episodes two and three

Episode three was intense.

The anti-Ri squad online are calling her a cold-blooded killer. That's like saying Raimi Spider-Man killed Osborn when he didn't stop his own glider cutting him in two.

N.A.T.A.L.I.E. is really fun for an AI. She's a lot more likeable than her comics counterpart.

The filming and production are fine. I was thinking, she had to deal with a flying Hulk-strong Merman and merpeople and having access to, for a short time, limitless knowledge and technology. Reality sets in and with her brain she can’t figure out how build something that’s not the suit to sell to the world legitimately.

I guess, like Sam Wilson, gotta eat.

Edit: @UKMikey I didn’t click on your spoiler as we haven’t watched the episodes yet. We’ll have to get into it today.

People don't like how she was finessed into living the thug life. I can understand that. She seems to be laser focused on building the armour instead of trying to be Reed Richards. To the extent of selling her services as a homework and term paper forger.

I guess being super smart doesn't mean being super wise and making the right decisions every time. But I guess that's what having a character arc is all about. For some reason some folks don't want to cut her as much slack as they did Stark. But it's difficult to make someone who's a paragon of virtue all the time interesting. Sam Wilson's writers, I'm looking at you.

Yeah, I saw what the writers were doing and I’m definitely going to use her age regarding choices she’s made. Probably the biggest thing is she doesn’t have Stark to help or guide her(being under Shuri would help). Trying to figure out life after Thanos is what characters in the MCU will be struggling with.

It'd be nice if Ryan Coogler ties this in lovely with Dr. Strange and impending (Dr.)Doom.

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts about my spoiler after you've watched episode 3.

I guess some are expecting honour among thieves. As if they wouldn’t do what she did at that moment.

Well, it didn’t have to be written for her to go about her own secret mission. Me and my wife were talking to the tv like why she didn’t go the way she came in. Plus, the bomber already showed her a way to get what she needed. Patience.
Again, her age. Not thinking with that tool between her two shoulders.

Thanks, this is pretty much the conclusion I came to as well. If she made all the right decisions people would complain she's some kind of Mary Sue.

Watched the final three episodes. Should have been a two-hour movie. I feel like my time was wasted and not sure how Ryan Coogler signed off on this. Could have been sorted out starting with Episode Six, flip to Episode One and then cap it with Episode Six.

I couldn't disagree more. Sorry.

I'm halfway through episode five and I'm enjoying the hell outta this. It has heart, as well as iron.

... OK, I've watched the whole thing and I didn't like the ending at all. They went full Luke Cage. Shame as I was really digging the show up to that point.

It’s another show that got caught up in the overstaturation of Marvel productions. Armour Wars got put on the shelf, which might have helped setting up RiRi’s arc.
Ms. Marvel and hawkeye did better jobs of building those characters. Ironheart waited too long to at least have Riri tell her mother what’s going on. I mean, why not tell your mother when the whole world know about aliens, infinity stones, multiple dimensions, meta humans and magic?
I hated Riri building the suit in her room when the garage is an actual lair she should have been using from the start. I get the trauma, but she’s so focused on the suit, the garage was the logical place to be.
Only time I smiled and laughed was the White Castle itself and the Zelma scenes explaining the Dr. Strange connections.
It’s crazy after all was done she makes the choice at the end.

Good thing to come out of it. This album was in the background at the brothers apartment:

I think I've got over it now. Mephisto can be very persuasive. But it only works if they address it in the future. None a' that Luke Cage ****.

Zelma was amazingly comics accurate. I really liked the character in this show.

I didn't get on with Agatha All Along so I was surprised how much I dug most of this show even if it seemed a bit like Steel towards the end.
