When I got the Viper Oreca, I thought it would be a contender in many difficult races, but ohhhhhh noooo, I was wayyyyyyyyyyyyy ooooofffffffff!!!!! The car sucks at so many things! Examples: It's very slow, it only has 900 horsepower, It handles like $h**, the Oreca has only 2 things going for it: 1. The paint job is awesome! 2. Even though it's slow, it has decent acceleration.....I'd never would recommend this car in this game!:irked: Sorry for the language.....:rolleyes:

me like vipers.... uhhhhh i dont think you have read much of what i have posted ont eh subject... but no i think they are way overrated... but saying its a ****ty car is not 100% accurate... i think the oreca is fairly easy to drive... and so is the gts... its the concept i have beef with... but that mayjust be the way i drive... i love oversteer... i love it when cars almost spin out... something that others might see as bad... i like twitchy cars...

Good point, I like using oversteer too! :D
 
Well im pretty sure a 900hp car can win Like The Wind.. learn to tune it and them other 2 races they should be able ot win aswell with 900hp no problems.. if im correct they are just running the lm cars in those races.
 
what... mine likes to turn... both my viper gts and oreca like to turn... its getting them to stop turning...

i have problems with the ctr and gtr34 if i leave toe zero and set up as i usually do...

so strange... i had no prob int eh liscence test or with my own cars... i will have to check out my settings later... i dont htink i had 900 horses tho... that is kinda overkill
 
I think it has more like 1013 HP after you break it in and change the oil.

Now, there are several cars that weigh 1150kg and have about 1000 HP:

Viper Team Oreca
Castrol Mugen NSX
Altezza LM Race Car
Impreza LM Race Car

I certainly wouldn't say any of them suck...

And if you were able to pass the S-6 License, I'm a little surprised you're having trouble with the All JGTC and GT All Stars.

We all have different settings...
 
i know... just weird how i have oversteer and you all dont... and actually have understeer... i would guess that it is just a result of speed and no breaking hard enough before turns... but you never know...
 
Well I left mine stock, I figure if it's a race car atleast the race version should have a improvment over the road version, but the thing is. The only thing I noticed was a SLIGHTLY tighter turning radius, and more power, that's it.
 
I think you've been eating too many paint chips. The Viper is just fine for all thoes races, and it handles like a dream. It never gives me any problem.:D

Are you kidding me?! The Oreca Viper is probably one of the best handling cars in the game. It has no major flaws at all, it's easy to drive fast, and it gets great mileage out of its tires. It will totally spank the JGTC cars in Pro level.

I would heartily recommend it to anyone playing the game.

[edit] I just checked through my records, and I won most of the races in the Pro All-Japan GT with a stock Oreca Viper. It started around 605 hp and dropped to 576 over the course of the series. I was not able to sweep the series but I easily won the championship on points. The only races I didn't win outright were Laguna (where the NSX is on fire), R11 (where I suck), and Trial Mountain (where the Supra never pits). In each of those races there was one particular super-fast car, followed by me in the Viper, and then the rest of the field in a bunch way behind that. The other races were easy wins, ranging from +45 seconds at Monaco and GVII to +6 seconds or so at Apricot Hill and Rome. [/edit]
 
I also think the Oreca Viper is a great car. To me, it doesn't handle bad. Mine turns quite well. I also like the paint job. It handles better than the other Viper's in the game. In fact, I've been able to beat a GT-One and an R390 GT1 with it!
 
I haven't played GT3 in a while, but as I remember it, the R34 Skyline V-Spec II is perhaps one of the best cars in the game (1071 HP, 4wd) as it will allow you to win the most races. The Viper Oreca GTS doesn't even come close in terms of bang-4-the-buck. I'm sure you won the car, but I'm just stating a general truth that many people seem to agree on. Personally, I won the Oreca, slapped on the top of the line parts, and put it aside until i won the *NEW* Viper and pitted them side to side with one another.
 
i would think that nearly everyone here would have won the team oreca viper not bought it
