I'm referring to the real world Britain mate.

Except for the BMW, and the Audi A4, and all of the DTM, and most the Belgian Touring cars...

I think we can agree that, worldwide, a "touring car" is such a wide definition and can be FF, FR or 4WD.

I think the BTCC(Australia doesn't get it) is AWD
I know V8 supercars(kinda of a touring car) are FR
Never seen an FF tourer.

I drive the CRZ and Prius just like i would with every car, but the Prius is a bit dull. I don't paint them pink, i like them as much as the GTR R35, the Prius and the MX-5 are a bit useless but still cool.

Most of the BTCC and WTCC is FF (Chevy Cruze, Seat Leon, Honda Civic, etc) but current regulations allow FR (BMW 3series and the BTCC currently has an FR Audi A4).

Previous BTCC regulations allowed for 4WD which was exploited by Audi but was banned at the time as they got too much of an advantage, and I think it is still not allowed.

Aussie V8's are obviously FR. DTM is FR (even the normally 4WD A4 and TT have to be switched to FR)

How do the Touring Cars match against each other?

Apart from the Prius, which might make an interesting class of itself, are the other touring cars within on the same level, can they be driven in a class race against each other, or are they wholly different beasts?

Are there existing cars that would match well with them in an online series?

The Prius, CR-Z and MX5 Roadster are all pretty even. I did a few laps at Spa in each, and they were all round about the 2:39-2:41 range, with the Prius fastest... Although it'll slow down when its battery runs out.

Which looks to be like almost never, did the Laguna 300 on a single charge...

The r35 tc and the z06 rm with gt1 specs are pretty good

Do these DLC cars have premium or standard cockpit views?

So these are the first touring cars in the game besides the Lexus to be premium, or did I miss some?

Mine is Cool Pasteltone Pink for the body and Warm Pasteltone Pink for the wheels

It has issues going past that speed, but god bless the CVT tranny.

Quick question daan.

Why did you paint your prius tc pink?

Ah the motivational poster, it works on so many levels.

R35 keeps stupid pearlescent (sp?) paint on graphics panels....

Yes, it indeed does. I hate perlescent paints. What a girl you need to be to like this aweful colors?

They are 'Race Mod' versions of road cars, Touring Car is just a name PD stuck on them (Race Car would work just as well) and as such aren't real touring cars.

They´ve chosen the name "toruing car", because they build them close to production, what thr official definition of a touring car is....in comparison to a GT car for example, which can be prototype-like.

GTE class car should be Touring Car going by that definition then....

Although the cars are not based on real counter-part; no one ever made them.

These cars can easily be made in real life, but no one have done so and i think this is what GT5 tries to do.

It's like, 'What if i had Prius touring car?', making that car in real life, isn't really worth it.

That where GT5 comes in!

The car's aren't far-fetched at all either!! All are pretty make-able.

Anyone else a fan of the R32 Touring Cars 'aero' rims? First thing I changed when I got hold of it...

I felt in love with the rims first time I saw them. Too bad they are not available on other cars.

The Prius TC...

I got a matte pink paint chip just waiting for this thing.

Here's my little Prius, painted in GT POLARIZED 002-P with Gunmetal (from an Esprit) rims.
My PhotoMode skills leave something to be desired though...

You ppl noticed the shaking "thing" (not sure if it is the extinguisher) in the cockpit of the R32 (hmm or was it R33? Ah one of the touring cars :P). AWESOME DETAIL :dopey:

Also the turbo charge displays in the cockpits work 👍
