Voted for free, but I don't really care as long as it's reasonably priced.

At that point, it's up to the consumer to buy it or not.

If it was going to be free then surely they would just add the content within an update instead of creating DLC?

Depending on the content, I would pay 5.00 USD per pack.

Iguess it will be free unless they lock the DLC items from trading. I doudt they will do that so even it you'd have to pay for it, people will trade the items. We'll see what they do, I'll buy it if it gives me cool stuff

I'm certain it will be paid because most of the appendant packages/download contents available cost at certain price allowing us to have more field of playing the game in lots of aspects, without much regard to the genre, those accesible for free can render themselves not much exceptional for people due to enjoy it - sweeping off their expectation of DLCs to be a fun for them as well.

I would def pay for dlc, if it came to it. If they earn more money means more dlc etc in future, don't know why they waited so long to do dlc, they will earn loads from it.

It will NOT be free, and it should not be free.

Spec II update will be free. I reckon there will be one DLC pack that is also free (kind of like a trial run to pick up any DLC bugs) then all the others will be paid DLC.

I hope the DLC is priced about the same as iRacing. If PDI makes a bunch of cash from this, then they might keep adding more content.

I hope you're trolling...?
1 car/track = 10/15$, that would be ridiculous for a game like GT5.

No. I am serious. I think these prices would be very reasonable.

Then you are an idiot. So gt5 should have cost us like $12,000 initially?

Do you actually believe PD would end up making more money doing this?

they are giving us something big 4 free and now all want DLCs for free!!!!??? c'mon, lets thanks Kaz n lets pay the DLCs, bcause they are giving us a HUGE update. At least i will pay the price for the DLCs, idk all of you.

I would say $19.99 per pack which equals $60.00 for all three. Basically a one year resale of the original game.

DLC free or not doesnt matter for the people who doesnt buy GT5 yet. If they buy the game they know that they will get huge update and DLC. But if they want to get the game with signature or collector's edition probably they won't want to pay also for DLC because game is getting espensive with these packages.

should be free for those who bought the signature edition, and paid to all the others

I think DLC it's free... If PD adds more old GT cars or GT tracks (1,2,3,4, etc.. ) I think we'll don't pay for this because PD had rights of vehicle and tracks.. Am I right?

DLC will cost something now, but a year from now who knows, may be free, you want to wait to find out ?

hehehe

Off course we'll have to pay for it. Frankly I think it is rather rude to think other wise. If it were the be free, they wouldn't have to release is as DLC, but just as an update.

I'll happily pay for it, although it depends on what is included.

I've put this tweet in Google translate:
"・・と、こんな感じです。無料アップデートの一週間後のDLCにはレースカーパックやコースパック、レーシングギアパックなどを準備中です。それはまた次の機会にお知らせします。連投すみませんでした。"
And this came out:
"And · ·, looks like this. One week after the DLC track pack is a free update pack and race cars, racing gear is being prepared and packed. It also will be announced at the next opportunity. I'm sorry consecutive pitching."

Of course google translate is not so accurate in grammar, but I believe it's going to be a free DLC

If there was ever one game that has the longevity to make paid dlc worthwhile, GT5 would be it. There's only a couple of games I still play so long after the original release date (GTA IV being another)

If it was free, it would just be patched in. Seems kinda easy to figure out to me. >_>

They might pay us to download it...

Did any of you guys read the playstation blog? They said that everything is gonna be free, so unless PD decided otherwise it should be free

Did YOU read the blog?

Penrose said that the Spec 2.0 update, set to be released the 11. October, of course would be free....

And after listing what would be in the update, he did continue to announce that there were more great news to come; that they 'very shortly' would present a DLC-package, containing new vehicles, tracks and 'a host more of additional content'...

But indeed no indication that the DLC would be 'for free'...
