Really? You would like to pay extra for content that should've been included at release, but omitted only to be released a month or so later at extra cost? And most people haven't been playing for months? The gt community is growing bigger and bigger, and the soon to be released platinum edition is further proof.
Platinum means sales have fizzled very low, and a price drop comes to encourage those still waiting to pick it up for cheaper.
It's publicity and cheaper pricing in one quick move. You can notice this game sold enough copies for a "Platinum" status in pre-orders.
Is it really? Considering the games that are coming out and the games that are already out... I've had motorstorm apocolypse on my mind for the longest time, and dirt 3. Then NHL12 is coming out in september along with F1 2011, thats about a good $210 easy after taxes, but that somewhat $210+ can go to all the DLC that PD is comfortable with releasing... Please help ?!
Here's what's going to happen to you, you won't like it, but it's un-avoidable.
You
will keep spare money for GT5 DLC.
You will get frustrated waiting.
You will spend some, but not all of your extra money on other games/things.
You will continue to be frustrated waiting.
You will spend some more money on other games, still keeping enough for new DLC.
You will now pre-determine the minimum amount you need saved for emergency DLC arrival.
You
will spend everything aside from that pre-determined amount.
Something
will crop up that you will need to spend your saved DLC money, but you
won't be worried, because there will
still be no inclination of DLC coming.
You will build your DLC savings back up, and continue waiting.
You will die of old age, leaving thousands of dollars in DLC savings alone to loved ones.
GT6 will come out, with DLC instantly available.
Your loved ones will not buy or play GT6 at all, because FM 52 will be better.
