I'll bet the majority of the mainstream American rappers didn't do too well in school. My mom got straight As through most of her life and doesn't make close to a million a year.

But I agree that getting good grades isn't going to do anything but help you get more money for the rest of your life. That's the only reason I even bother to do any work in school. Which is another thing: those who get good grades aren't necessarily harder workers. I, myslef, am lazy to an almost scary extent, and so are the majority of my over-achieving friends. We've learned all our lives that, even in the most advanced classes, we can get solid As without having to work too hard for them.
School has made me less driven than I would have been anyway.
