not sure if they sell em in the USA but they are getting quite popular up here in toronto canada. Infact, my neighbor across the street has one. And i know a person at school whos parents drive a smart and a mini
Theyre not officially sold in the U.S. (by DaimlerChrysler, that is). I know that ZAP! has a license to sell them, but Im not sure if they actually have yet. I suppose the one you saw couldve been imported from Canada.
That's what I was thinking, too. But I was shocked to see one driving around Texas.. lol. I saw it coming the other way, noted the odd shape, thought "What the hell is that?" Then, right as it went by, I recognized it, and uttered a "WTF's a Smart doing here?!?"
yeah, I saw one in new jersey, on I-95. i was with my dad in his 540i, and this thing passed us, he was doing like 85mph(!). so he was like WTF and floored it to get a better look. it was from Ontario, Canada. thats my little story.
I thought they were saved? Basically, they're rescuing the Smart line, thanks to some new capitalization and the advent of the Mitsubishi based Four-Four (is this one right?)... but they're killing the roadster.
Damn, and here I had an outside chance of being able to afford the Roadster...
