Do we have any fresh news about "set to online" cars??

Just gone through some posts and couldn't figure out what it is all about.

I want to set 6 cars from my garage for me and my friends to share in my lobby.

Is it possible?

Unless I'm missing it, the "Share with friends" options isn't actually what you (or any reasonably intelligent person) would assume it is. Right now, all it seems to do is allow them to view those car's info from your profile page. They can't actually race with them against you online.

If I'm mistaken, someone please correct me. But I've shared cars that others can't see, and I'm unable to see cars that they've shared.

So... if I 'share' my car, people can see my car's info (settings, parts, and such?), but I can't share the car? That's... well, that's just plain silly. Look but don't touch! Makes me glad I didn't waste the time loading up my Favorites.

I think in the in-game manual it says you share them for online races or something similar..

The way this feature is now makes no sense at all.

It's likely the manual was locked before they pulled that option out of the game. Same thing with the Prima guide, which references options that we don't have.

How late in the process did things like brake upgrades get removed, one has to wonder.

I'm puzzled by this too. Hopefully it'll be added with a future patch.

It'd be great to let your friends share your cars in online races.

It would definitely make for some easy one make races among friends.
In it's current state it really doesn't have much purpose. I mean once you put the car online you can't even drive it anymore.

I just put the silly Blastolene Special there as I have no use for it.
