Do you cut corners and/or chicanes at Sarthe?

YEP :sly: ,but only on A-spec idc if its not racing it just makes the track more fun i think. I REFUSE to do online its unfair to other online racer:tdown: .... online racers have emotions like anger:mad: ..... A-spec drivers dont unless gt5 is like TRON ,but you never know:dopey:

I'm doing the 24H @ Sarthe for the second time in A-Spec. I'm using the 787B and the first time I used the 908HDi. I was wondering if I should be proud of my recently set 40 hour lap record of 3:06.0xx, even though I like to cut the chicanes and the sweeper before Mulsanne. :x

Nothing to be proud of. In reality, a 3:06 lap of La Sarthe wouldn't be counted in any record books if it was an invalid lap, and it's invalid if you left the circuit. Cutting chicanes or other corners is leaving the circuit. The game allows you to get by with it, but in reality you couldn't. In reality, not only would your lap time not be counted, but cutting corners/chicanes is a good way of getting penalties.

Never, unless it's to avoid contact with another driver, and if I win a place because of it, I give my place back to the driver I overtook that way.

In A-Spec there's no need and online its just stupid. But sometimes you just mess things :ouch:

(Shameless self promotion :dunce:)

If I'm grinding for money then I'm cutting every corner and sand trap I can.

Aside from that, why do the race if all you're gonna do is cut corners? Where's the fun?

It depends! If I am stressed and second, yes I do cheat by taking shortcuts. If I am leading the race, no, there is no need to (unless I can feel the other's breath on my back).

A lot of these answers seem to say no no no never cut, what do you take me for?

...unless I am losing.

In seasonal races where I start in last place, 10 miles behind the leader, and every car I pass tries to run me off the road.

Only because I'm frustrated. Otherwise it's just more fun to follow the course.
