I'd like to see the reasoning behind your 'any amount of alcohol is extremely bad'.

I'd like to think you're getting alcohol abuse and responsible and moderate social drinking confused.

You can buy booze at a gas station?!? What genius let that through?

Yep, at every gas station I go to here, you can buy beer.

Damn! I better watch out for the alcohol in breath spray and cough syrup then...:nervous:

I never said alcohol was bad, did I? I just read over my posts and I never said it was bad.]Reading comprehension is not vat_man's forte. As you can see he is a complete idiot.

Wow - the range you demand, with the convenience you deserve....

This would be for drinking on the way home?

What's the rule on drinking while driving where you are? It's actually legal to drink while driving here, but I'd suggest you're probably going to cop a pretty intensive roadworthy check if the police pull you over and find you with a beer in your hand.

Ethyl alcohol is a poison, though.
How is alcohol difficult to access? I could easily get some right now if I was stupid enough to. My parents don't drink either.
Drink all you want. I encourge you to get stoned and drunk every day. You'll make me look smart.

These comments tend to portray a fairly negative attitude to alcohol, do they not?

Exessive drinking, yes. Casual and moderate drinking, no.

If you want me to say that getting drunk all the time is good, I won't.

Ah - you see, that distinction wasn't clear. Lo and behold, we're in agreement.

I don't want you to say that getting drunk all the time is good, because, well, it isn't.

I suppose there is more stigma in underage drinking in america. Most of my friends drink so, I join them. Ive only been completelely and utterly P!!$ed twice. Well I suppose thats hardly anything for us drunk brits. I only drink at partys and at the Pub, its antisocial not to buy a round :D

Well, I'm still wondering why Puffy thinks that athletics will counteract his weed smoking...

Anyway, alchohol in moderation is more than okay... my dad has been having wine at least once a week for a VERY long time, and he's extremely healthy for his age (I won't disclose his age, but I can tell you that he looks about 10 years younger than he actually is).

I drink occasionally.. very occasionally. I won't go to bars by myself anymore, which means I end up not going at all! I don't see the point in getting drunk, but to each his own.

It's very illegal to drink and drive where I live.:)

No opened alcoholic beverages in the car, huh?

Certainly here if you're over 0.05 you'll get a pretty severe hiding in terms of fines and license suspensions - unless you're famous

I get drunk every week if I can do. I am 18 which is the legal age for drinking in the UK. I guess its a cultural thing coz there is a LOT of underage drinking in the UK, I've been drinking since I was 14-15.

Where I live you're not even supposed to have an opened alcoholic beverage on your front porch! You have to be in a bar/restaurant or your home.

EDIT: and Giles likes drinking too :p

Who? Me? Never!!!

Yeah, I like beer, wine etc. It's not like it's a crime (I'm nearly 30), and I don't drink when it's inappropriate. I just regard beer in the same light as any other form of drink. And anyway, I'm trying to kick my caffiene addiction (don't laugh!).

Gee - 0.1 BAC's very high - I doubt I would attempt to drive with that in my system. Given the high proportion of drunk drivers in fatal accidents (alcohol is a factor in about 1 in 4 fatal accidents here) I'm starting to think zero BAC (with a very small tolerance for cough mixture and that sort of thing) might be the way to go.
