Especially missing the RX-7. For me the best street car in the past two GTs.
I also wish PD add more older racingcars in the future. Making replicas of all the retro liveries with the editor should be fun.

There begs the question.

When is the content coming.

Seem many people defend the game and say so ohh so much content will be added, yet i know PD well and i know nothing has even been announced this leaves me with little faith that they will ever update the game enough to make it worthy of its name. This game will die on the marketplace before it gets a single proper DLC.

About a dozen 90 Japanese sports cars and a few tracks would be an ideal first dlc, maybe even a "gasp" offline 90s Championship.

I never played any of the modern GTs ie GT5,6&Sport I stopped at GT4. When you say the RX-7 was one of the best street cars in the last two GTs do you mean that it was one of the quickest overall? I know they were good cars in the first 4 GTs.. especially in GT4 they rocked.

Those were some of my favourite cars in GT5/6. I suspect or hope PD will be releasing them in a pack of "vintage" JDM cars, hopefully with some good BoP so they can be raced together. I actually made a semi-serious offer on an RX-8 the other day that was sitting in a customer's driveway but she wasn't interested in selling:guilty:

I don’t miss them but I’ll gladly take them if they come back! I have 162 cars in my garage so I barely use 80% of them.

Not the quickest, but very balanced, handling wise.

Oh really? When I used to use them in GT4 with the G25 steering setup my Spirit R Type A RX-7 would perform better in some cases and worse in some cases but overall equal to the Skyline R34 V Spec II NUR. However the RX7 in the last 2 GTs does have to compete with the liked of the new GTRs, NSX, etc making it hard to be one of the fastest JDMs.

I would prefer to see a modern Ford GT and a current Dodge Challenger as they are being raced in the Trans Am class. What about current Cadillac V CTS AND V ATS models that are also actual currently campaigned models?

I would prefer to first finish providing all of the real current day modern racing options before going down memory lane to cars that mainly reside in private collections or museums.

Doubt if you will find many Porsche 917's or Ferrari 312P's still being campaigned these days.

If they are going to introduce classic cars back into the game make them actual classic race cars not road cars.

The cars I miss are the old Skyline GT-Rs, the FC and FD era RX-7s, the old NSX, the Evo VI, the Dodge Challenger and especially the old 2000 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R. (Though granted, that one hasn't been relevant in the automotive scene in over ten years, and I'm one of the few people that truly miss it.)

What's a rx7? ;)

Ever since they put the first generation RX7 in Gran Turismo 2 but never carried it over to 3-6... all my hopes, dreams and optimism about anything in my future life have been numbed.

I don't miss the redundant duplicate models of the cars, but I truly do miss the variety of Japanese cars. I hope they'll come soon, but you never really know.

In a sense, yes I miss them. I miss the variety of the cars we had access to, but at the same time, having the 1000+ car list with PS2 quality cars on PS4 would've been unacceptable to me. Therefore I respect what PD has done, because the quality of the cars in game is fantastic. Classic case of quality over quantity.

I don't think we'll ever have all the cars we did in GT5/6. One thing I tend to be curious of is how many of those cars we had are still readily available and possible for PD to obtain and model from scratch? Obviously there are handfuls of Skyline, RX7s, Supras and the like, but even the variety among those models themselves. As they age it only makes sense less will be around and at a certain point may not be possible for PD to obtain a proper example to model.

Sounds like a lot of people just want a gt6 remastered to PS4 specs instead of a new game. I do know I felt I had to do a lot more grinding to get cars and credits back then and I do not miss that at all. I for the most part like the new concept and would rather go forward than backward.

I think a GT6->PS4 port would've made sense during the off time between its original release and GTS. There were 4 years in between, a PS4 port at 2 would've been perfect. PD wouldn't do it because they didn't want to detract any sales potential from GTS. Will never happen now.

I miss these cars in general. Not just in Gran Turismo. Japanese manufacturers just don't make cars like they used to. The majority of their offerings now are electric city-car compact crap now with some of the ugliest exteriors I've seen in automotive history.

It's only been a few years and I now miss the Eclipse too, and eventually a time will come when I miss the GT86/BRZ trio.

They could have created a new high-quality "premium" mesh for them.

That's when PDI could do what most other companies do and model from photographs and video. Sure, there might be minor inaccuracies, but even when PDI "laser scanned" the premium versions in 5/6 they still had inaccuracies.

I should be more specific, I don't want ANY division between the cars. The quality between all should be equal or therein.

And I'll be completely honest, I know very little of how the modeling for cars works. I just know it would've been a disgrace to see some of those standard cars from GT6 on PS4.

Truthfully, I'm not upset about the majority of the cars being dropped from GTS, but what upsets me most is the dropping of the Premium cars, which were already GREAT quality. Couldn't have taken much to bring them up to PS4 quality. The standard cars are more forgiving to me, but the Premiums is inexcusable.

Sadly, if they release anything, it’ll be in “packs” of “integra type r, integra type R gr3, integra type r gr4, etc”.
