Do you still support PD?

The Legaxy might be really a glitch. In GT4 the cars didnt looked that bad and other standars have some quite nice models.

If GT6 will have standards againm, no increase in american and europeen cars and no improvement in network code, then I can not support them anymore and wont buy it.

They should not go the EA/Codemaster route, where they lose the personality of the game and what made it so successful. They should follow up Turn 10, not to copy them, but to make the game how they want, while adding new features and improving excisting parts of the game.

If I put GT6 in my PS3 (4?) and find out that there is Ken Block giving me advise about my driving, I will frisbee the heck out that disc and see how far it can fly.

hahahahahahahhahahaha

Higher Res = more detail, so I think he means it's easier to see the model's faults at the higher res.

that was my idea
I have a 480i TV, so you're saying if somebody sends me the two pics, I'll be able to see no difference, right?

I didn't mean support them financially, I meant do you still agree with what they've done

Uhhh, hell no. I support them in the sense that I handed my money over for GT5, but they are no longer making the best console racing sims anymore. So I guess Id say more than anything ive just lost confidence in them.

That could be fixed, but they need to find a way to leapfrog Forza. Im really not sure they are able to do anymore.

To copy your response to everything you didn't like, hmm... nope, no point.
I win, your post has no point.:dunce: That's how we do this right?:sly:
I guess you can make all the net kudos for yourself you want. ;)

Wait a moment dude. I never said that I hate GT5. Actually I still have alot of fun playing it (mainly online). I just wanted to show some points which can make you feel disappointed by PD. I was disappointed after the first week of playing it.

Yeah he tends to make us opposing out to be haters of the game or the series all together, I just gave up arguing with his irrationality and ironic statements. Double standards seem to be a favorite as well on the opposite end. They try to make us out to be lovers of FM or put words in our mouths by making it sound like we think FM is perfection on a stick. When really all I'm saying is there seem to be more manufactures unknown and known in FM more so than GT5, especially seeing how long they had Ferrari and Lamborgini as well as Porsche (which GT doesn't have for certain justifiable reasons). I agree with you but would like to wish you good luck cause you're not going to make much gain.

It's not net kudos...it is more of sarcasm due to the way you conduct yourself on this forum. We've agreed with several of your points yet you still do this finger in your ears routine while going lalalalala. Just sayin.

...but still remember that PD made 3 games between GT4 and GT5. So they weren't focused 100% on GT5. T10, however only make 1 game every two years, without breaking the pattern. So yeah, awks.

I will give them Tourist Trophy that was an entirely new animal I think. GTHD was canceled and all of that work was trasfered over to GT5 anyways. GTPSP was held up by GT5 in the first place and was due to be released in '05 and then '06, with it finally being release in '09. So I really cant give GTPSP too much of a reason for holding up GT5 when it was the other way around, says Kaz himself. This also shows in the poor reviews it got due to quality. However, T10 may be able to catch up though still young because of that fact that they only have one game to concentrate on; this might be where PD need to go, and just stick with Prolouge and the main GT game. Since GT5P is just a sample version of GT5 anyways.

We know.

Why did they make "3" games between GT4 and GT5? While everyone was asking for GT5?

Even most of the people who played TT (like myself) and PSP(not myself) wanted GT5 more.

Technically, FM4 still has less manufacturers than GT5. It also now does without Porsche too since EA decided to pack up their toys from the sandbox.

Understand that around here, some users will always see the defending of any game they don't prefer as the same as calling it perfect. This works on both sides of the fence. It's annoying, but people do have bias, and preferences. It's unfortunate that these sorts of discussions tend to devolve into veiled name-calling or flame-baiting, which is usually why they get shut down. As this has been more-or-less civil, however, it continues - though again, I recommend this thread for those who wish to debate the merits of these two games in particular; preferably those who can back up their claims, however.

Two, not three, and questionably even that many: Prologue is GT5 in a much earlier form, as that was always it's intended purpose. Tourist Trophy's biggest hurdle was modelling the bikes and one new track - the physics engine was heavily based off GT4's, meaning the rest of the game components could be done fairly easily. GTPSP's big challenge was compressing GT4 down to fit on the PSP format, which is admittedly quite an impressive feat, but it came at the expense of many things present in GT4 (and unfortunately, the addition of the Talking Chin ;))

Thank you for that and I only brought up Porsche due to previous games since people have brought this into the realm of both series in general, but I understand. Thanks again.

Whether or not I support them in the future will depend on what they're offering next time they ask for money. If it happens to be Tourist Trophy 2 or a much more refined GT on the lines of GT3, then I'll be first in line for the preorder. If they start getting overly ambitious again with their prerelease statements as with GT5 I'll be sitting back a while and watching what happens.

Either way, the current state of things is, for all intents, irrelevant because the money was long ago spent and it won't be coming back. Personally I've gotten more than my money's worth out of the game thus far with years to go still. Was it a perfectly smooth release? No. Was it the best in the series? Not by a long shot. Do I really give a damn? Not in the slightest.

Best thing in the world you all can do is stop worrying about what "could've been" in some fantasy world and enjoy what is... or walk away and enjoy something else. Life's too short to be wasting energy on what if's.
