Do you suspect the 600+ cars will have interior?

And It will be fantastic if we can choose the colors and materials of the interior (for road cars) as when we buy a new car in a manufacturer in real life!

:D:tup:

Being the car-crazed person I am I too would love to do this!

actually, GT4 had this with some of the convertibles, e.g. the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG, AKA The Lindsay Lohan Car. the only thing that sucked about it was the color she had it in (Black, or Schwartz, as it's officially called in the game), the seats came in only in red, and I think the seat color that her car had was either black or gray, but I forget which one.

back on topic here....

I would personally love top see the interiors in each and every car, even the concept cars. I've been play Test Drive Unlimited on PS2 a lot lately, and I'm impressed by how Melbourne House (the developers who created the game) managed to create such great interiors while working on such limited hardware as the PS2 (especially compared to the Xbox 360) and make them look so detailed (of course they had to delete some cars, Including Ferrari, but that another topic for another Thread....)

anyway, my point is, if they can make such amazing cockpits with the PS2, imagine what PD can do with the PS3 with GT5. It will be astounding, to say the very least!

I can't wait to do first Le Mans drive with Mazda 787B with interior view. It would be stunning to see that windscreen wiper shake in wind doing 370 km/h through main straight.

Interior choice of color would be a nice addition but I wouldn't suspect interior customization for race cars or even concepts. Interior view was...just stunning in GT5P, so why don't they BRING IT BACK for the official!

You think PD will tease up with interior view with some cars then force us to use bumpercam or something with the rest?

I doubt KY being the type of person he is would go for that for all, do it right or don't do it at all.

That is exactly his mentality. Part of the reason for the lack of damage that so many people want (personally I don't really mind, but if it's in the game, I want it done right). Unless he can do it properly for all the cars, he's not going to do it.

I like that way Kazunori San thinks =]

The highest speed in '91 when the 787b won was only 340#km/h in the race, and that was a Sauber, the Mazda was slower. So not quite 370km/h.

But I get the effect :)

If this game ships without interior view it will kill it for me, can't see any reason why it would have been included in Prologue if it is not intended to be part of GT5.

As much as I love Group C cars, I hope PD takes one or two liberties with the seat position. From what I've seen, the seats are pretty much all the way to the ground, and that makes it nigh impossible to see the track ahead. Sure, you'll see the road starting 50 feet away, but the rest is going to be covered by the dashboard.

I don't think GT will replicate windscreen wiper shake lol

I always thought about this, i doubted it, but we will see, GT5 would probably need alot less cars for this to happen.
???

I would say even for a concept car since GT by Citroen certainly has (one hell of) a cockpit as well.

I dont, I'd rather have a game to play now with half assed damage which they can start improving for the next game than not have anything at all or having to wait until I'm an old man to get it just because it needs to be perfect. :p

Its been confirmed that only 200+ cars will have interior/cock-pit views.

http://nzgamer.com/ps3/previews/862/gran-turismo-5-eyes-on.html

"As Kazunori began speaking, aided by a translator, we learnt that Gran Turismo 5 would have over 1000 cars in its tally. Over 800 of which fall into the standard cars list, offering casual through to sports car models, many of which make a welcome return from previous GT games. The other 200+ are premium model cars, each one beautifully recreated from the engine outwards to satisfy any petrol-head.

Although all of the cars are perfectly modelled, the premium cars offer little extra touches of detail that the standard cars don't. For example, only the premium cars have fully recreated interiors and the standard cars aren't designed to take structural damage in crashes. Asking why this was the case, Kazunori honestly replied that it was simply down to the painstaking amounts of time it takes to re-create them all. When you see the level of detail, it's amazing they were able to do even 200 of them."

Nope, you misunderstood. interior ≠ cockpit. The cockpit view include the steering wheel, dash, windshield, ... This we will get for almost all cars except a special few concept cars (Nissan GT-R black mask for ex.) On the other hand, interior view means under the hood, inside the trunk, and suspension parts when the body panels have been damaged and flew off. You can imagine why they can only do 200 for now, model everything under the hood and behind panels take a lot of times.

We're still assuming that, nothing is taken as fact until people have the game in their consoles.

serously you lot miss the obvious it says fully recreated which will be damage and loads of over stuff that sat nav screens with stuff on them. At no point does it say only 200 cars will have interior views:)

You need to stop posting this everywhere.

Quoted for truth.

Good thing the Peugeot 908 HDI FAP interior is modelled. :)

Fight copy/paste with copy/paste :sly:

To the OP: Intentional or not, you are fear-mongering. You have taken words and either misread them or simply twisted them around. Period.

Sorry about all the posts. I just want to know what the truth is. Every interview is so cryptic with Kaz, its sometime hard to understand.

Anyways, I'll still get the game. I love Gran Turismo.

I agree. All cars will have cockpit but not all cars will have interior view.

The new eurogamer article seems suggest they won't have cockpits for the standard cars, but Kazunori still speaks through a translator so it's not 100% confirmed that this is his meaning.

It's sad that Kazunori and Translator are still mixing words interior (which means cockpit for us) and internal car parts. From Prologue I learned that almost all cars have cockpits and I am awaiting the same in GT5. Don't expand the useless panic any more, please.

I understand fully modeled interiors for engines and internal car parts.

If there will be 200 Premium cars, between Nascar, SuperGT, WRC, Le Mans and other racing cars... how many road cars will be Premium?
