How many people here use a wheel, and what kind do you use?
I use a MadCatz MC3, with pedals, and paddle and stick shifting.

I won't actually lock this, but I suggest you do a search. Put the word "wheel" into the box, limit the search to this board, and search titles only. It should turn up numerous other threads.

Welcome to GTPlanet, slicks

I use the same wheel as you do, 59.99$ Canadian dollar, it's a good alternative when you don't have the money for the logitech wheel.

There's a MadCatz MC3? I have the MC2, and I think it's great, though I will be buying a GT Force Pro (or whatever it's called) as soon as I can. I just want the Force Feedback.

$59! I got mine for just over $80!

Oh, and it's an MC2, not a MC3.

I have a Logitech Driving Force, and if I knew the Pro was going to come out soon after, I WOULD'VE SAVED FOR THAT! Driving Force is a good wheel compared to your average wheel, but no 900-degree turning lock-to-lock:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I traded my MC2 in and got a Driving Force Pro... What a big difference. The MC2 is horrible compared to the Driving Force Pro, and I really liked the MC2.

That says a lot about how much I'm loving the DFP... Gran Turismo Heaven.

I used a Mad Katz on PSX, but never got around to getting a wheel for PS2. I'll get the new logitech when GT4 releases though.:)

CANT WAIT TILL IT COMES OUT!:banghead:

It really depends on how good you are with the controller, and that's not the main reason I got it. I got it because it makes the game so much more fun. I know there's been an improvement in my racing, but I'm not sure if it was 4 seconds. I was pretty good with the controller though.

Here is my cockpit with the new addition (force pro) that I got a while back. I also posted the pic earlier on a thread in the pics sec. Wheel all the way!!!!!

That's a cool setup! I am going to build myself something like that when I get the Force Pro. As of right now, I use the Dual Shock. I am quite good with it, and can emulate the look of a wheel in the replays (smooth movements, no wheel twitch). However, I am getting the Force Pro, and I look forward to increasing my skill with it. ;)

My MadCatz MC2 isn't far to blow. Yesterday one spring broken and it made a HUGE sound like CRASH! And it really scared the hell out to me.
Well it was easy to repair, just replace the broken spring to another one. Just after that the wire from the pedals to the wheel broke off. :banghead:
But again I showed my great "talent" and fixed it too, with a new connector. Now it's back in hard playing.

I can just imagine when that wheel is going to break finally.
