During an online race yesterday I happened to have the misfortune to be stuck behind this badly liveried (and badly driven) Lambo.

    bad_lambo.jpg

While vaguely funny, I don't really think that that online GTS is suitable place for this sort of thing as the next step is obviously car with lots of bad drawings of male anatomy. And such things can only then end in Sony/PD clamping down on liveries as a reminder of why we can't have nice things. So my plan is to report the player, but I can't seem to find anywhere in GTS to do so, and I haven't quite found anywhere suitable in the PS4 menu yet. So any guidance would be very helpful.

Edit: Offending word and associated word completely redacted, just be on the safe side.

Firstly our rules on profanity apply to images too.

Secondly, you can only do this during an active session. Within GT Sport, go to My Menu and Friends. The far-right pane shows the people you're currently playing with. Find their name, click on it, then click the (...) in the top-left corner and select "Report".

Some kid threatened to report me for a good pass this time last week (obviously that wasn’t his point of view but he got a 10 sec penalty and a negative sr tick). I’ve no idea if he actually did it as I’d assumed he’d get nowhere anyway. However in your case I’d fully agree with a report. Whilst I’m not offended by it I can imagine some would and we have to act responsibly to keep the livery editor as open and free to use as possible. He mentioned that he couldn’t report me to GT sport as such but to Sony or PSN itself. Hope that helps.

Apologies. I'll tidy that up to completely remove the offending bit.

It’s quite random but they’ve been enabled in some of the nations races. I used my swedish painted TTS a couple of times.

I just got intentionally rammed about 6 times by an S rated driver!!!. Mind you, it is my number one priority to be safe and respectful on the track (even if it means not winning). I know I was rammed because I checked the replay and they did not even bother braking at the main braking points on numerous occasions, and kept turning into me when we were side by side. Just full throttle and watch my car fly 10 meters away like a bowling bowl.

How the hell are you A-S and allowed to drive like this?!!! At the end I had no choice but to just drop back and let them pass me. My race was ruined but it's not like a could back out as that would be terrible for my S SR, and I had to finish the remaining laps knowing there was absolutely nothing I could do. What an awful experience..

Ive experienced this to many times as well. In SR C to S. Smh.
It would be ok but GTS now has ELO which make these situations suck even harder...

Started 1st and 2nd and in the top 10 a number of times tonight in the Dailies and the Nations Cup.

Have never finished a race though. Brainless coots who couldn't drive a nail through wood appear so offended that you had the temerity to pas them, or start ahead of them, that they are then obligated to run you off the road one way or another.

I'm over it. I only played in the Time Trials in Seasonal Events in GT6 for this same reason however there are no time trials here like in GT6.

I hope I haven't outlaid so much money for a PS4, G29 and GT Sport all for nothing.

If you quit races your SR must be awful, meaning you keep getting matched with bad drivers.

I think rage quitting only effects your DR not SR. I've rage quit one or two times (no more honest) and my DR dropped but my SR has always been S.

Rage quitting affects your Dr and SR unfortunately. Depends on how far up the SR level you are. E.g. I had just hit SR S and I rage quit after getting knocked about and my DR and SR took a major hit. Couple of rage quits later I'd gone from DR A to Dr B and SR A to SR C.

Anyone remember 14 posts ago, when the thread was titled "Does anyone know how to report a player?"?

Clearly it's something people don't know about, so how about we keep the thread focused on that and not yet another discussion on SR/DR and online standards?

Well, it kind of seems like you answered that pretty quickly tbh! There really isnt much to add to what you said. Use the psn reporting system.

A huge problem as I see it, coming from other competitive online games is that one are unable to report players who intentionally ruins your race by dive bombing etc.

Its a good thing we can report verbally abusive players but as i said we need to be able to report bad sportsmanship as well.
Rage quitted for my first time today when a player dive bombed me in the Brands Hatch Nations Cup race.
Qualified third but this pleb dive bombed me in the first hair pin causing me to loose a few positions, overtook him on the same lap just to have him do it to me again in the same corner the very next lap.
This players rating was BS (pun very much intended).
Taking into account that the SR rating system very easy to manipulate a manual report function for bad sportsmanship is highly urgent and tbh a serious competitive online game which ranks players skills which lacks but lacks such a function cant be really be considered competitive at all.

Such a function is present in almost all of the major games which are considered e-sports today.

How do i stop someone on gt sport who keeps reporting me for nothing, I don't swear or write anything horrible in the comments bar nor do I have any rude or naughty car liveries, he has aslo reported my sons psn account that has now been permanently banned, I'm getting fed up with being reported for nothing

I'm pretty sure they don't ban accounts for nothing.

Speaking of which, I report everyone who rams me and gets weird in a race. My logic is that I know these bad players are probably reporting everyone for absolutely nothing, so reporting disruptive players for actually being disruptive seems like an obligation.

Many people feel that the reporting does nothing, to which I say, fine then I'm doing nothing. It's much better to vent via a report button rather than engaging in a grudge match during the race and tanking your SR even further.

I'd hope that their report system looks for reoccurring reports in conjunction with SR dips in individual races but at this point, who knows.

I would nt be so sure of it...

Anyway aditionally... under the issue on the title...

How can we do a more detailed report besides the basic one.. that is made with point and click mode... only???

I do pretty much the same.. problem is sometimes we get rammed in a way that we have no chance to recognize the offender...

You message shows off a lot of... strange things. that led me to .. not believe in it...

1st and most important: When you are reported, you don´t know you have been reported unless Sony´s Information System contacts you... additionally the identity from the "reporter" will not be given to you... (I´m pretty sure of that...)

2nd: The chances to find the same racer on and on (as only if the racer is in same race he may report you) are not many.... and the chances of the racer finding you both is even less (let´s pretend that you have a chance 1/1.000 to find repetitively a guy... for 2 guys to find him repeatedly the chances are: 1/1.000 x 1/1.000 = 1/1.000.000 !!!!) So very strange indeed... Honestly the biggest chance is the contrary... that both you two are harassing the guy... acting like a team...

That is honestly what your message makes me feel... that and the doubt that your son´s account may have been being used by you... also...

I strongly AGREE with you!!! The reporting issue on GTS it´s a crap...

    According to my personal feeling....

I consider Rage Quitting an absolutely childish behavior, also a coward behavior, and absolutely an unsporting posture (for some reason on real sports if a team leaves the field it will be very heavily penalized)

So.. I consider that all RAGE Quitting should be HEAVILY PENALIZED!!! If you´re a Man take like a Man... until the end... only cowards and cry babies leave the field while the game is on!!!

Indeed, and sometimes I'll report someone who I think rammed me based on track position and SR dropping. Yeah, not scientific but I'm assuming their report flagging algorithm is smarter than me and would discard any possible false reporting. Keep in mind, the reporting system is probably being abused by every raging troll in the game so it has to be better than just an email dump into the community manager's in box.

I could not agree more. Part of learning and getting better is about taking your lumps and learning from your mistakes. If people are not willing to at least finish the race then they probably don't have the temperament to compete anyways and should go find something else to play.

Mirror_man i know its the same person because he was in the same room as me and my friends and no other random players were there and I have just found out from one of my friends that he said to him he's has reported me and my sons account, which is permanently banned for no reason because my son received an email from Sony saying its banned for life and my son is only 11yrs old, the player who is harassing me also wrote in the comments bar "they finally let you back on then after your ban " and then wrote something else and then said " hopefully a final ban for life".

Ok... So I think I must believe you..and so.. I most apologize... for What I wrote. but those were my true feelings at that moment...

So OR the guy is a real scum... or then someway.. somehow you or your son.. have caused a situation that he felt really... pissed with, and some guys loos completely their mind on such situations.. and enter a rampage of hate and nonsense, and probably that is the issue...
