it was funny to see that most of the high level people in gt5 . . dont play nascar part. and they not really good. but they are excellent at all the other racing. its so crayz.. thats why i post this

Yes. This is true. The closer your cars are to one another the more noticeable lag is. It's the same lag as in road racing, but the smoothness that you must drive in NASCAR and the bumping makes it more apparent. [The same goes with online shooters: e.g. lag is less noticeable with HSs than it is in Close Quarters Combat; MGO reference]. It's a matter of when relative positions of two characters or cars is significant in outcomes.
That being said: NASCAR is awesome fun as long as you do not have too many people combined with players from abroad; I find Europeans and South Americans in a NA room to display particularly noticeable lag in NASCAR and it becomes worse when 12-16 people are in the room.
