Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed destroying themselves and everything around them was really fun and entertaining!

CM Punk gave one of his best ever promo's, Balor and JD successfully defended their tag titles against New Day which led to another step towards New Day breaking up, Bianca Belair and IYO Sky had a great match, Judgment Day attacked Priest and Ripley again and stood tall as the show went off air, no more matches made Bad Blood following last night.

Shout out to the new commentator Joe Tessitore, it was his third Raw and he wasn't great in his first but he has been a lot better and he's growing into the role, apparently he is getting a lot of praise backstage, when he gets all pent up and excited he sounds like Mauro Ranallo.

Good timing because of the Netflix series about her that just dropped, more proof of the WWE Vault YT channel being fun just to see what kind of wild stuff they'll release from time to time

Hopefully no one pulls a JBL and bullies Joe off the commentary team

Great cinematic shot involving Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes on Smackdown, they met on the field of Georgia Tech which is the city that will host Bad Blood, they hit a few verbal barbs at each other until Cody said he will have Roman's back as long as Roman has his and as it ended Roman said that once the Bloodline stuff is done he will be coming for Cody's title, the whole thing was shot like a mini movie with the different shots and tense music, Roman arrived in a fleet of blacked out cars like the President!

Kevin Owens was watching all of this and looked disappointed because his friend has teamed up with the guy with whom he has been fighting for four years, he went to ring to give his opinion but was interrupted by the Bloodline (no Solo last night) this led to a six man tag main event between KO, Street Profits and the Bloodline, the match went fine until it broke down into a brawl with Bloodline on top until Cody made the save, when Cody and KO were in the ring it looked like KO would hit him with the chair but but the eventually hugged, but you know the KO turn is coming.

LA Knight beat Andrade in his title defense and it lead to a brawl between Andrade and Carmelo Hayes backstage so that feud is not done, Bayley and Naomi both pinned Nia Jax at the same time so they will have a number one contenders match next week, more curious Giovanni Vinci stuff where he had another match with Apollo Crews but he got pinned in about a minute.

Jey Uso is the new Intercontinental champion, he beat Bron Breakker in a very good main event match on Raw last night, its Jey's first singles title in WWE. It was a surprise that we had a title change last night but I do thing its a good call as it was a great moment for Jey who is a popular and very over babyface, Breakker's title reign lasted for 51 days but I wouldn't worry about him going forward as he is still only 26 and has a pretty bright future. Tessitore was great during the match as well and some of the calls he made towards the end were fantastic.

There wasn't much else on last night as it was a pretty average show, Xavier Woods slow heel turn is continuing as New Day lost to American Made and they are definitely heading towards a break up, Dominik Mysterio will be locked in a shark cage during the women's world title match between Morgan and Ripley at Bad Blood which I think will be hilarious!

Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed will have a last monster standing match next week, they had a brawl last night which involved a lot of security getting beat up and Reed eventually backed out, no more matches made for Bad Blood which is next Saturday.

I am pleasently surprised how the Intercontinental Championship match ended. Works out this way, Bron being another dominant Heel would be overdone when we had a lot of those during The Bloodline era (and I was already sick of them) and even now that Bronson Reed is starting to do it. Giving Bron Breakker losses will make him far more compelling while also showcasing Jey Uso here with his first singles title.

Tonight will be the last three-hour Raw of the year, the shows will move to two-hours until the Netflix move in early January.

WWE Bad Blood is this Saturday and I think the build for the show has been pretty lackluster, the only match with any real hype about it is Cody/Roman v Sikoa/Fatu and the only reason for that is that Cody and Roman are teaming up, Priest v Balor seems pretty dead and they have dropped the ball on it, its the same really with Liv v Rhea. Drew v Punk in a Cell match is pretty big but that feud has been stale for a while now so its a good thing that its coming to a definitive end, only the four matches made for the show too instead of the usual five or six.

When I first watched pro wrestling circa 1997, "RAW is WAR" and "WAR Zone" were two-hour shows. And of course, (then) WWF Raw was in competition with (then) WCW Monday Night Nitro. I'd watch both but love the WWF/WWE. Every now and then in the past, RAW would be three hours long. That was until they completely went to three-hour shows.

All of this said, of course I'll watch as much RAW as I can tonight.

I think I know why Raw will be two-hours for the next few months.

WWE Raw's contract with USA was due to expire in September but they managed to get a short extension which will take them to the Netflix move, USA must have already had some other programming scheduled to replace Raw and maybe they have had to move things around to accommodate a three-hour Raw and couldn't do it, hence two-hours of Raw until January.

Last 'Monster' Standing match between Strowman and Reed was predictably chaotic, it ended up with Strowman winning after they both caused the ring to collapse and a returning Seth Rollins hit a stomp onto Reed into the steel steps.

Gunther finally granted a title match to Sami Zayn which will take place on next week's Raw and not at Bad Blood, Jey Uso's first title defense against Xavier Woods will also happen next week as will Sheamus v Pete Dunne in a Donnybrook match.

The Miz turned heel again and turned on R-Truth, there wasmore Xavier Woods stuff after he accidently took of Rey Mysterio's mask during their match which caused Woods to win and then he accidently caused Kofi to lose his match with Chad Gable.

Toni Storm is gonna have a little side journey on the 5th. (Also running back the match that got her a World of Stardom title win on accident after noted neck bump enthusiast Mayu Iwatani injured herself...

...by dislocating her elbow on a dropkick)

Also the Intercontinental Championship got a slight redesign adding blue to the globe decals like the Intercontinental Championships of old.

I think its a good change and why it wasnt like this at the start

Here is the card for WWE Bad Blood on Saturday night.

Hell In A Cell Match.
Drew McIntyre v CM Punk.

WWE Women's Championship.
Nia Jax (c) v Bayley

WWE Women's World Championship.
Liv Morgan (c) v Rhea Ripley
(Dominik Mysterio will be locked in a shark cage above the ring)

Damien Priest v Finn Balor

Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns v Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu

It was reported this week that the Cell match will open the show with the big tag match being the main event, I can't watch the show until Monday.

Smackdown in a few minutes will have AJ Styles returning and a triple threat match ladder match for the tag titles.

Surprised that no one has posted about the show.

I enjoyed it, Hell in a cell match was easily match of the night for me, some of the spots were brutal and Drew needed 16 staples in his head, Punk winning was the right choice. Really liked the tag match too with Jimmy Uso and the Rock returning.

The other matches were okay, the Liv-Rhea match had a weird finish when Raquel Rodriquez returned to help Liv but it caused a DQ, Nia Jax predictably beat Bayley and Priest beat Balor, Kevin Owens attacked Cody Rhodes backstage after the show.

Crown Jewel is next in just under a month's time, they announced a new gimmick for it last night where where the World and WWE champions for both men's and women's will face off for the 'Crown Jewel Championship', so Cody will face Gunther and Liv will face Nia, its an interesting concept but the actual title belt looks awful, during this segment Gunther goaded Goldberg who was sitting ringside.

The current Future of Stardom Champion Rina was five and a half years old at the time of Raw going three hours

Make that former champion, dropped the title to Miyu Amasaki after 512 days and a dozen defenses. Not gonna be anywhere near as long of a reign as she loses eligibility for the belt in March (the end of her third year of wrestling; eligible competitors for the Future of Stardom Championship have to either be under 20 OR have under three years of experience)

2025 is shaping up to be a major year for Rina as her school career wraps up (and the informal end of the publicly hiring minors to wrestle era* for Stardom, a leftover from before their acquisiton by Bushiroad) and can go full-time if she chooses.

*=Despite being half of their New Blood Tag Champions and a minor, Azusa Inaba doesn't count as she's not a formal roster member, came up from Pro Wrestling JTO

After Punk and McIntyre it was all downhill. The only other match I liked was Damien vs. Finn but that shouldn't have gone after the Cell, none of them should've, none of them had any chance to match it

As for the Owens Heel turn, it isn't the solution people think it is because the problem with non Cody or Bloodline wrestlers on Smackdown isnt their allegience but the fact they aren't Cody or the Bloodline. WWE is so hard fixed to book the Bloodline as strong as possible and only allowing Cody to have some leeway, it doesn't matter if Kevin Owens is a heel, he is still a Bloodline jobber at the end of day and will also be a Cody jobber. He needs to leave the brand all together and get out of that cursed storyline.

(Or axe the Bloodline entirely and save the entire roster from the horrible long term effects but I know it milks money so they won't do it)

Drew posted a picture on his IG of his head after he had the staples put in, Holy Cow!!

Its been reported that he's taking a break and won't be back till the Rumble, well deserved break IMO.

Its the first of the two hour Raw shows tonight, Gunther v Sami Zayn for the world title will likely main event. Also there is Jey Uso with his first IC title defense against Xavier Woods plus a Donnybrook match with Sheamus and Pete Dunne which is basically a match with weapons.

The show was a little weird last night, two-hours will take a little getting used too.

Gunther had a successful title defense against Sami Zayn in a fantastic match, the Donnybrook match was good as was the IC title match, Cody Rhodes was there but only to stare down Gunther at the end of the show for that stupid Crown Jewel match, a very banged up CM Punk appeared at the start of the show and then Seth Rollins appeared.

Its seems like the Wyatt's next target will be the Miz, The Viking Raiders will be returning soon as another of their vignettes aired, Rhea Ripley was on the show but not at the show as she had a taped promo and it was the same for Raquel Rodriquez, Liv and Dominik, the rest of Judgement Day and Damien Priest weren't there.

So yeah the two hour shows are going to be strange for a while but I'm sure WWE will find its feet with it, apparently next weeks show was taped last night as they have a UK tour next week.

I feared if Raquel Rodriguez went heel, she'd be pretty dangerous. Well, you got her in heel form now. My fellow Texan is now in cahoots with "Dirty Dom" and Liv Morgan. However, the mystery of if she is now part of the Judgment Day remains just that- a mystery.

Orton is such a different man now.

He had a match on NXT and there was a botch in the RKO with J'von Evans flipping too much to not be caught. He was apologising to Randy but he was very chill about and understanding.

15 years ago Orton would be yelling at him for being "stupid" then proceed to bury his push

Is aspirin OK if you're straight edge? BAH GAWD that was a brutal Hell in a Cell match, my only gripe with it was just how Punk & McIntyre oversold (IMHO) after running each other into the cage fencing early on.

Though that's because 15 years ago Orton had main eventer immunity (aka Vince's favor) so he could get away with whatever he wanted. And given that Triple H considers NXT to be his thing, it'd be pretty silly for Orton to try and pull rank on anyone over there.
