Interesting things happening on NXT with two surprise title changes in recent days, firstly Jacy Jayne is the new women's champion after she beat Stephanie Vaquer last night, I don't think many people were expecting this and we found out after that Vaquer is due to move to Raw soon, her title reign lasted 77 days and Jayne had been on NXT for four years so it was probably overdue. Ethan Page also won the North American title from Ricky Saints last night.

On NXT Battleground Trick Williams beat Joe Hendry to become new TNA world champion and also became the first WWE contracted star to do so.

It seems like Mariah May is done in AEW and will join WWE very soon.

Andrade and Naomi both qualified for MITB ladder matches last night, Money In The Bank is next Saturday with Worlds Collide on before it but the latter is only available on the YouTube channel.

NXT's Stephanie Vaquer will make her Raw debut this coming Monday in an MITB qualifier, Jordynne Grace is expected to move to the main roster too, as is Ricky Saints...a flood of NXT talent coming over lately!

I couldn't believe that it was true, just found out that it is!

R-Truth contract is up and it wont be renewed, his legendary WWE has come to an end. :(

Carlito appears to be going out the same way.

WWE removing their fun comic relief bits with charm to pretend it's such a super serious promotion viewers should take seriously.

Tony Khan, I know I rag on you for your infinite contract stack but please bring in R-Truth for a oneshot where he's convinced he's still in WWE.

(But FR I strongly believe in the three-ring circus approach for mainstream wrestling.

Sometimes I want emotionally charged FINISH THE STORY CODY, sometimes Saki Kashima being an extremely lazy glass cannon more interested in money, sometimrs Toni Storm and Mariah May going deathmatch, sometimes Danhausen being Danhausen, etc.)

R-Truth release has not gone down well backstage, some thought it was a joke, some were stunned by the news and some thought it was ruthless.

I was a mixture of all three when I heard!

"Huh, our attempts at artificially creating memes and forcing them on the audience ending up failing, I guess that means nobody wants comedy in pro wrestling anymore." -Scriptwriters who don't understand how memetic humor works

Though this is really more of an entertainment industry problem as a whole, rather than just a pro wrestling problem.

Or have R-Truth sign in with TNA and have him still appear backstage on WWE shows due to their partnership where he can pretend he's still with WWE

The Coffee bean known as El Grande Americano and Stephanie Vaquer has both qualified for their MITB ladder matches this Saturday and the men's and women's ladder matches are now complete.

There were a few we want Truth chants last night and CM Punk joked with the fans after the show saying they shouldn't chant for people wo aren't here. Michael Cole wore an Indiana Pacers tank top during the show rather than a suit after losing a bet to Pat McAfee.

Any predictions for the ladder matches? For me Seth Rollins seems the obvious choice for the men's but I don't think it will be him, I'd like to see Solo or Penta win it, for the women I think Naomi will win it.

She is going to get a name change, Mariah Might??!

The Miz has removed all references to WWE from his social media platforms, leading to speculation that he will be one of the next to go. There are rumors of more WWE releases soon.

So its WWE Money In The Bank on tonight from Los Angeles, here is the card.

Women's Intercontinental Championship.
Lyra Valkryia (c) v Becky Lynch.

Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso v John Cena & Logan Paul.

Women's Money In The Bank Ladder Match.
Rhea Ripley, Giulia, Naomi, Roxanne Perez, Stephanie Vaquer & Alexa Bliss.

Men's Money In The Bank Ladder Match.
LA Knight, Penta, Andrade, El Grande Americano, Seth Rollins & Solo Sikoa.

Just the four matches but you know the ladder matches will take up most of the show.

As for my predictions for the winners, I think Becky will win the title from Lyra to continue the feud which has been really good, I don't really care much for the tag team match and neither does a lot of other people but I think Cody needs a win. Both ladder matches are pretty interesting, I think Naomi will win the women's match and as a heel she can think of devious ways to cash in, Seth seems the obvious choice for the men's but WWE sometimes don't do obvious! I think Solo or Penta will be good choices.

Also today is World's Collide which is the first WWE/AAA crossover show since WWE acquired the company, its only available on YouTube and that's why I haven't posted the card. The headline match is Vikingo defending his AAA mega title against Chad Gable, other WWE talent taking part are Stephanie Vaquer, Lola Vice, Legado Del Fantasma, Rey Fenix and Je'von Evans.

Finally on to Smackdown last night, John Cena & Logan Paul ambushed Uso and Rhodes and stood tall at the end of the show, there were loud 'we want truth' chants during this and Cena responded 'you can't handle the truth'. Seth Rollins and his faction also appeared and attacked different MITB participants during the show, there was a great six women tag match between the women's ladder match participants that you should watch and the King and Queen of the ring tournaments were announced and they start on Monday night Raw and finish at Night Of Champions, which is the Saudi show coming up.

RIP R-Truth, long live Ron Killings!

I keep seeing this wasn't a work, but the timing and supposed justifications for his release just seem a little too odd for it to not be part of a grant plan.

Hopefully with him going by his real name he can give the comedy act a break and show great of a serious talent he is.

TKO really missed a trick by letting R- Truth go before the Worlds Collide event. Truth vs Mr Iguana would have been incredible.

Edit: Maybe we'll get that after all? lol

Supposedly their decision to bring back was 3 days ago. In this case, the chants work.

imagine R-Truth Ron Killings winning the WWE championship from Cena on the latter’s VERY LAST match!! (then Seth Rollins cashing in):rolleyes:

I wasn’t a work, TKO indeed released him from WWE as a way (according to many reports) to rejuvenate the main rooster (worse-ing even more the possibility Randy Orton would suffer the same fate), but it was THE WORST possible time to do it (just after Blacklash) and man, just see on social media how people react to ALL the wrong doings TKO and Triple H were doing to WWE recently and continously (Def Rebel, Logan Paul, Jey Uso’s YEET character, the ABUSE of sponsorship placements like today’s fireball ladder… now Roman Reigns’s paycut rumors… the list goes on and on and on) to know this was just going to be an potentially horrendous mistake (and no, Stephanie Vaquer wouldn’t do too much healing to it). The main factor here was simply that even the main rooster loves Truth so much due to his funny personality and way to train the newcomers and help his coworkers (man, HE EVEN MADE BROCK LESNAR BREAK CHARACTER AND LAUGH OF FUN) that releasing him just like that wasn’t even funny, that and the #WeWantTruth basically put TKO on their knees and made them reverse the idea…

Pretty sure they don’t want to return to make another “There’s no WWE without you” video like they did almost a decade ago in the mist of the #givedivasachance and the horrendous storylines of the time that made ratings and people acceptance decline FAST…:lol:

It wasn't a work, they legitimately let him go and the outcry and fan chants made them think twice so they brought him back.

They had been working to bring him back since Friday and he has got a new contract for one last run, everyone is happy to have him back.

It was a good show overall, women's ladder match was my match of the night and Naomi winning it is a good choice, Seth winning the men's ladder match was a bit predictable but the Solo and Jacob Fatu thing during the match was good. Becky Lynch won the women's IC title from Lyra Valkryia and Dominik Mysterio defended his IC title against Octogon Jr in an impromtu and very meh match.

On Raw tonight.

John Cena appearance.
Seth Rollins appearance.
King and Queen of the ring tournament starts.
Nikki Bella returns.
Jey Uso v Gunther-world title match.

A very good Raw last night with lots of news.

Firstly, Gunther beat Jey Uso in the main event to become new world heavyweight champion, it was a fantastic match and easily the best match on Raw for a while and better than their Mania match, Gunther won clean and made Jey pass out to the sleeper in the middle of the ring, there was no outside interference from anyone or attempted MITB cash in from Seth Rollins. Gunther is now a two-time WH champ and Uso's reign lasted 51 days with two title defenses.

Secondly, John Cena's next challenger for his WWE title is CM Punk, they will fight for the title at Night Of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in three weeks, Cena opened the show last night and Punk interrupted and wanted for Cena to put the title on the line against him lasted night, the match for NOC was made later in the show, Punk had previously criticized the WWE/Saudi deal and said he would never go there but its been known for months that he would appear at NOC.

King and Queen of the ring tournament started with fatal four way matches rather than singles matches, Sami Zayn beat Dominik, Penta and Bron Breakker to qualify, he pinned Dom after LA Knight attacked Breakker. Roxanne Perez beat Kairi Sane, Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley to qualify and she pinned Sane.

R-Truth gave an incredible promo in which he started by thanking the fans for bringing him back but then he ditched the 'R-Truth' moniker saying he was too much of a fun and nice guy and he wanted to be serious, he cut his own dreadlocks off right there and said he wanted to be known as Ron Killings, I got chills during that segment its been watched on YouTube nearly 2 million times in over 12 hours.

Nikki Bella's return was really to promote Evolution but did get confronted and then attacked by Liv Morgan who felt disrespected by Nikki, Bayley also returned to attack Becky Lynch for revenge for what happened at Mania.

Blake Monroe is a good name, its a bit generic but knowing WWE it could have been worse!

A few a bit of news from this week.

First of all an update on the World Heavyweight title picture going forward, Gunther won the title from Jey Uso this week on Raw and its been reported that the reason for the title change is Goldberg, he is returning for what likely is his retirement match and it will be with Gunther at the next Saturday Night's Main Event on July 12th, that was always the plan but Triple H apparently decided it should be for the title.

Also on the subject of unpopular returns Brie Bella is expected to come back, obviously to help out Nikki after she had an altercation with Liv Morgan, I bet it will lead to a women's tag title match between the four at Evolution in a month.

AAA's Mr Iguana could appear on the main roster soon, he won much praise following World's Collide and had impressive merch sales, he could even be in the King of the Ring as there is an empty spot for it on the Raw side!

Bored Rowan Atkinson GIF by Working Title

The TKO / Levesque era is just wonderful

Three King and Queen of the Ring matches on Smackdown tonight.

Chelsea Green v Alexa Bliss v Charlotte Flair v Candice La Rae.
Cody Rhodes v Damien Priest v Andrade v Shinsuke Nakamura.
Randy Orton v Aleister Black v Carmelo Hayes v LA Knight.

First Randy Orton appearance since Backlash.

Just had a thought, Cody Rhodes wins King of the Ring and faces John Cena for the title at Summerslam and wins his title back...too simple and obvious??

Jey Uso is filling that vacant spot in the KOTR match on Raw, but he is in with Sheamus, Rusev and Bronson Reed so good luck to him with that!
