Does the rubber band trick only work on escudo?

I was wondering if the escudo is the only car that the rubber band trick works on?

Anyway, no it isnt only for the Escudo. You can use it for any high speed car... EX. Viper, RGT, ......

You can use it for any high-powered car that will overcome the "bumps" against the wall... however, it works best with the Escudo primarily because of the shape of the Escudo-- It's humongous wing acts almost like a suction, and tends to keep it going straight when brushing a wall.

Search my friend. Its basically putting rubberbands around the two anologe sticks on the Dual Shock 2. You set the acceleration to the right anologe stick and then you use a rubberband to drive the Escudo into the wall under full acceleration at the Superspeedway Endurance.

i'm sure it works with stuff other than the ClownShoe, but will it really work (well) with a Viper? since they have bad oversteer, i'm not sure they'd take hitting the wall curves too well...never tried it.

After you set it up, and start the race, you're supposed to be able to leave for the whole race. When you come back, you are supposed to have one. I tried this at my friends house and we came back after an hour. We were only on our 36th lap because we got turned around by the AI. Of course, we just did it to see if it worked, not to win the race .

Alrighty then. I'll do this because you are my second favorite Aussie.

1. Go to your option screen (music, tire wear, controls, etc.).
2. Change your acceleration button from X (or what ever you had) to the right anologe stick. Note: Make sure that the acceleration is set to the right anologe stick pointing to the left, you'll see why later.
3. Find a Rubber Band.
4. Go to the Super Speed Way Endurance with your fully tuned Escudo. Start the endurance and pause the game.
5. Take the Rubber Band and put it around the left anologe stick (steering) and the right anologe stick (which is now you acceleration).
6. Now your left anologe stick should be pointing towards the right and Rubber Banded to the right anologe stick, which should be pointing to the left.
7. Unpause the game, and your Escudo should be running against the wall (because you're turning right) but its under full acceleration so it can still beat the other cars.

I hope you don't use this though, because it will probably cause more trouble than its worth.

I remember when I was unconsious once. I was in this dark hallway, and there was a light at the end. I started walking toward the light. Suddenly I can hear my brothers in the background arguing.

Brother1: "Im using the rubber band trick"
Brother2: "Dont use the rubber band trick"
Brother1: "Too bad Im using it anyway"

never tried this trick before...but i think you can do it to any car that is fast and if it isn't then just put some simulation tires on it so it will practically go straight. hehe
