Where's the emo thread when you need it?

you mean GTP? as in the worst Gran Turismo forum on the net? that's full of GT fanboys? who complained about X1 gifting because it devalued the time they put in and cheapens their whole life accomplishments?

really, you think I care about a membership here. I've posted what 36 times in 5 years of waiting for a terrible game. Polyphony Digital presents Gran Boring 5. Here, rerace the same tracks from Gran Turismo 1! $60! lol.

goodbye GTP, omg I'm losing an internet forum.
Are you still here?! Get lost!:dopey:

Bigbazz
I'm done with this thread, its just a bunch of pointless whining about something that doesn't really matter and nobody cares about.

same here. 4 minutes reading + 2 minutes for answer wasted and ruined my entire life now! thanks OP! 👎

Online racing! Great! Too bad every cuts every possible corner and rams you. Game is full of non racers who buy the game for graphics.

Thats why they have something called penalties... and a kick feature.

I'd feel a loss to the community but after looking at your past comments you went into playing GT5 with a negative view thus you didn't like it to start so you were already negative about the whole thing.

Done with the series after 5 games.

Fantasy tracks(Cape Ring, Aiger?, Grand Valley, Trial Mountain, Tokyo, Autumn Ring, Clubman, Rome, Spain track all suck).

Real world tracklist is very disappointing (reused Fuji, Tskuba are terrible, Laguna Seca, Le Mans, Nurburgring, Monaco also reused and lost their appeal since they were also the only decent ones in GT4). Daytona, Monza, Indy, Nurburgring GP are fine. 4 decent new tracks for a "racing" game.

They made bspec more prominent (WTF?) and 99% of the prize cars are standard. F1 championship, I have to grind 4.5 million for a standard f1 car...WOW.

Cockpit views, FINALLY!!!!! Only you made them so you can't see out of half of them, even with the zoom feature.

Sold it for $14.

Really? In the real world drivers race on the same tracks every season. Get off the game if you dont like it or actually try voting on some things to make it better. Thats the only reason nothings being done because people just give up and sell it and not bother voting. Pathetic waste of a thread.

i feel the same like the most of you regarding the game which we´ve been waiting for toooo long :).

GT5 ist booooring. it drives and feels awesome, but gt5 is missing a game system. a system which contents rankings and Tuning Points (PP)... maybe similar to t10´s forza. A kind of a trueskill rank @ online races etc.

GT5 got nothing - so there are NO motivation points for the most of the racers.

The missing "system" i´ve meant above keeps you away from funny and challenging online races.

Honestly, GT5P got more system than the full GT5 now. GT5P was challenging with their rankings, and it was funnier to tune cars till a PP max level (like 550PP).

i had imho the most fun with GT5P....

he will buy it again, they have alot of updates coming. Kaz will build on this for a few years, he stated he wanted 2 more years to finish... i will expect tracks to come and maybe even C-spec

@ teddybear

i gave up my hope regarding those "updates". which updates do u expect?

i expect maybe cars and tracks, but thats the wrong way.

GT5 needs a classification system. i think its already too late to update/fix things like that.

Bye. Just don't convert to Forza now.

Where's the emo thread when you need it?

Oh my God! If this is true it actually means that not everyone like every game there is! Someone wake up the prime minister and alert the air force!!:scared:

Wow! What a waste of a thread.

Goodbye then. Glad not to meet you.
And next time don't spam GTP.

This is what always amuses me the most - posters who "claim" that a particular thread is bad, yet feel the urge to post in it.

This is a forum. Anything, within reason, can be posted here. Now, while your also free to respond in your own inane way, maybe you should think about the inherent hypocrisy in doing so first. Does your post quality match that of your own standards for another posters thread? Not in any of the above quotes thats for sure.

If the thread is as bad as you make out, why did you post? No self-control? The longer you don't post, the quicker the thread will disappear.

You hate tracks in GT that exist like the ones that have been around since GT4? You expect them to magically change its roads in new curves and bends just because they got boring to you? No, Le Mans, Nurburgring and others you said have been around before you were born. They're not going to change because one little person complains.

Show me where I said it was a bad thread not worth posting in. Anyhow, I felt compelled to post - you, GTShadowKing, told another member of your GTPlanet community to "get lost". Classy stuff.

This OP reminds me of girls who after a breakup collect everything the guy ever gave them and puts it in a box and throws it out or gives it back. Clearly the OP loved PD's game so very much and feels a great loss, even if he will not admit it to himself. He also doesn't want anyone else to get together with her (saying she's got bad tracks). He regrets that 14$ decision now. Just wait and down the road he will get back together with her when she's aged into a Greatest Hit with bonus DLC. lol

Just ignore them bro. They live in some fantasy world where their entire lives revolve around this game. There's no rational thought, there's no moderation. It's either "you vill love ze GT5!!!" or you're one of "them (AKA people who find any faults whatsoever in the game)."

I wanted to add btw, that I do in fact like GT5 quite a bit. I'm not saying that people who like GT5 are delusional. It's the people who go into every single thread discussing a negative aspect of the game and damage control it beyond belief that I'm referring to. The vast majority of users here are perfectly reasonable people.

GT5 is not bad it just comes short. I suggest you buy the Forza Ultimate Collection. I was thinking about selling my Ps3 after buying it specially for gt5 four months ago. I'm bored with it now. There's just too many contradictions in this game for me too fully enjoy it more than Forza 3. Just wait till Forza 4 drops it will rip gt5 too shredds (it will have TGTT with PROPER camera angles and startposition)

Alright. That's fine. That still leaves several million other GT fans out there, so I'm sure PD and the GT franchise will limp along alright after you're gone.

Fantasy tracks(Cape Ring, Aiger?, Grand Valley, Trial Mountain, Tokyo, Autumn Ring, Clubman, Rome, Spain track all suck).

Alright, but you're complaining about almost all racing games and not just GT, since almost all racing games have several fake tracks. Few racing games exclusively run with just real-world tracks.

There's nothing wrong with using the same tracks over and over again, although it helps if they're graphically updated from game to game. Since GT5 is the first GT game that I've spent more than thirty minutes with, I don't know how many of these were in previous GT games and, if so, how closely they graphically resemble them as seen in older GT games, but I have to say that they don't look quite up to snuff. Graphics aside, there's no harm in having tracks return for future games. It's not as though any serious racing fan is thinking, "Man, I wish the game didn't have La Sarthe or the Nurburgring."

They made bspec more prominent (WTF?) and 99% of the prize cars are standard. F1 championship, I have to grind 4.5 million for a standard f1 car...WOW.

Can't argue with the gripe about B-Spec or the prize cars being Standard, since the general consensus is that B-Spec is a boring chore and 80% of the game's cars are undeniably Standard models (sub-standard). I do want to note that the Formula GT championship isn't technically an F1 championship. The only true F1 cars in the game are the Ferrari F2007 and F10, neither of which can be used in the actual core game.

Cockpit views, FINALLY!!!!! Only you made them so you can't see out of half of them, even with the zoom feature.

Now, the funny thing about this is that nobody is happy with cockpit views no matter what the developers do. Here you appear to be complaining about how far back your perspective is in the cockpit, which means much of the screen is consumed by the car's interior, but a year earlier in Forza Motorsport 3 people were complaining about the view being farther forward in the cockpit, which they described as driving like their grandmother, hunched over the steering wheel. Move it forward so you can see out of the window better and they complain that you drive like an old lady, but move it back near where the driver's real eyes would be and they complain that you can't see anything.

Online racing! Great! Too bad every cuts every possible corner and rams you. Game is full of non racers who buy the game for graphics.

This is again a common issue with most games. I've often seen the same complaints of FM3. It's not the game's fault that players are d-bags, but rather it's the human race's fault. The only way you can fix that is to go around selectively killing all jerks. You'd make the world a better place, but probably won't be playing many video games in prison.

On a similar note, I think I'm done with real-world racing too, since all the series just reuse the same tracks and cars every year, over and over, and some of the drivers just plain suck. Embarassing.

lol

Speaking of which. American Le Mans racing in 3 minutes on ESPN3.com

There is absolutely no reason to post this kind of thread. If you don't like aspects of the game, discuss them in the proper threads. If you want to sell GT5, more power to ya... Just keep it to yourself. Wasting bandwidth so you can tell everyone how disappointed you are is ridiculous.
