I've been playing cooperative with my Dad for 5 hours non-stop and completed it. Shame it's a cut down version of single player.

It sounds great with dolby surround.

This is one of the sickest FPS I have played in a while. Driftgod and I just beat it online in co-op in 4 and a half hours. 👍 👍 👍

Rented this game this weekend and it was sick. Spent most of my time playing in the dark with my stero system on 18...dear god it was scary. I only have it until tomorrow but my gamertag is methix is anyway.

I had a chance to play on my friends PC a while ago, despite the sometimes noticeable scripted AI, the game itself, like you guys said, completely amazing. i just dumped too much money on a new headunit for my van so new games are out of the question for a little bit.

did any of you get a chance to play on PC? and were there any noticeable differences between PC and Xbox?

Not much really. I suppose if you've got a brilliant PC you will see a big difference between PC and Xbox.

I haven't got a brilliant PC so there isn't much difference. I noticed Xbox had a better frame rate, but shadows weren't as good and was a little more fuzzy because of the resolution I suppose.

I dont think the PC game has the CO-OP feature that the x-box has. Which I have to add, is stunnning and im surprised how incredible the graphics and lighting were online not to mention off line.
Online the surround sound isnt great but its still good. I noticed they cut the rear speakers out quite a bit. Seems to be more stereo sound than it is surround sound. Only online though.

Doom 3 for PC doesn't have Co-Op out of the box.There is a Co-Op mod that you can isntall and play the game with someone else.It's works quite well i must say.

Thats great information to know. I know there is no way the x-box can compare to the PC but I think as for graphics they did a very very impressive job with Doom 3.

I am disappointed in the coop mode. I rented it last night and beat it last night with my friend, WAAY TOO SHORT!!

I think the coop, with my Dad was getting lost all the time , is about 4 1/2 hours. Maybe 4 hours or less flat out.

My Dad was playing single player the other night and he said he stopped playing it because it was too scary.

I'd say it lasted a solid 3 1/2 hours. I kid you not. It was such a blast it was a shame to have ended. I was hoping to play it each night with my buddy for a week before we beat it.

I just went into Hell in the single player. It's funny how the Single Player is really long and the CoOp is way to short. Im gonna try to beat DOOM 3 before Monday hopefully.

Yes the co-op is a stand alone part. It is only about 1/4 of the full version on the single player for the x-box. Believe me, you will not beat the single player in 4 hours. The co-op online is just a very trimmed up version of what you play in the single player. Everything is wider in the co-op version too so that both players can fit side by side at most points.

I dont buy games very often, but I would say this is a MUST BUY! Many many hours of gameplay on single player mode. Or go thru the game on co-op online in about 4 hours. If you get the collectors edition you the original doom 1 and doom 2 for only an extra $10.00. 👍

Im right there at the end of DOOM 3 in Single Player. It is the BEST FPS HORROR GAME ON THE 'Box and best game I've played so far this year other than GT4 and SC 3.

How many hours do you have into it so far? So you are on the HELL level right now?? We are all wondering about how long it takes in the single player compared to the CO-op online portion. We know the co-op can be beat around 4 hours online.

More than 4 hours. But if you have me on your X-Box Live list you should be able to tell that I've been playing Single Player b/c im online but I just play the single player. I haven't even played in a ranked game yet online. But I would say around over 13 hours. It really depends on who ever is the person playing. Like me I play it for an hour then cut it off. But im about to go try to beat it. PM me if you wanna know the last boss is. Because I don't wanna give spoilers out.

I dont know the name of the boss that Driftgod and I beat online but that does have me wondering if it is the same boss or not. hmmmm Actually I think we had 2 different boss' to beat.
We will have to hook up some time and just jump right to the Hell level online some time so we can compare the boss. Thats nice to know you have over 13 hours into the single player so far. 👍
I have never played in a ranked game online either. I just do the co-op.
