Doom III GOLD!

I sent for reinforcements, I figured sure the marine (or whatever) leader is an ass but atleast he was helpin me. That fat bald suit does nothign but boss people around. I saved the game though so If I dont like the ending I can branch off and choose not to send reinforcements.
 
How the hell do you beat Hell? I'm shooting the crap out of that big brute, and those anyoying bee creatures that over around him but its not long before I'm dead.....
 
lol.....i had my mom play. that was fun to watch.

she rotates the mouse to try and turn instead of pushing it to the side! wahahaha. i had to take over when she was playing with the mouse completely upside down. <_<

needless to say she was next to dead (8 life left), and i continued to beat the part of the game i couldnt get past. i finally realized that there are medical station things around where you can get first aid. thank god for those. lol.

what are you favorite weapons?
 
mine is the shotgun so far, if ya see something moving run towards it and blast the hell out of it with a few rounds of the shotgun.
 
I love the shotgun. My weapon of choice. I alwasy loved it in the Original Doom. Plasma gun is a close 2nd followed by the chainsaw! :bloodthirsty:
 
I am in a bad situation, i keep running out of ammo, need some cheats, for even half full ammo. Fists are **** VS Demons, 2 of them at that, and that dizzy effect after being melee'd makes hand to hand impossible.
 
If you want codes you ahve to go to console. hold crtl+alt+~ . the type god for godmode, noclip for no clip(i dont recommend using , sometimes screws up), and give all for all ammo and weapons, and i think give ammo is jsut for ammo.

Anyhow, I just beat the game . It was cool ending too. Anyone else beat the game? I need to ask some questions about the ending! :)
 
you guys got it after me and still beat it before me lol, i just have no time to play alot :(
 
Hey guys, I need help from some people who beat the game (or beat the first hell level) The huge guy at the end of the first hell level with the little flying "helper" guys is pissing me off. How do you beat him? I''ve been killing the 3 little flying guys, then shotting him and the blue thing above him when he's making more little flying guys, but nothign seems to be working? Can anyone help??
 
I got past my delema by using grenades and saving shot gun sheels for close battles, i did use a web page to get a code o a locker that yeilded AMMO. After that section of the game there's ammo galore.
 
i love the shotgun too....only problem with it is when you go run up to blast some imps, they sometimes swipe the 🤬 out of you.

so in that case, machine gun = long range, shotgun = short range.

i just got some grenades....thats how far i am. though i havent been playing habitually, for whatever reason. lol.
 
I just got past hell and I'm on the very beginning of delta 👍 The grenades bounce way to much :yuck: Their like those super bouncy balls...
My favorite weapon is the soul cube :)

Not sure, but do the zombie marines throw the grenades back too? seemed that way to me, but perhaps it was just coincidence.

I'm on the Monorail bit at the mo.
 
Well i got Doom 3 2 days ago and i have been playing it since but only at night(23:00-03:00),the experience is much better at night.I haven't finished it yet but so far it's awesome.I am running the game on the Ultra setting,1280x720 resolution and 8xAA and it's running very smoothly(85fps regularly and 50-60fps during hectic combat).

The demons look awesome,haven't seen them all yet.I am really looking forward to the confrontation with the Cyberdemon.(if any of you spoil what he looks like there will be trouble).
Well i'm off now,awesome game,just awesome.

Erm the game was said to be capped @ 60fps, apart from in time demos?
 
Right,i should have mentioned the time demos.Sorry about that.I have also posted the wrong resolution at wich i am playing.It's not 1280x720,it's 1024x768.I can't belive i didn't get more fps with a GeForce 6800 Ultra.

Grrr...i keep getting red and white dots all over the damn screen...So annoying. I downloaded the 4.9 beta catalyst, applied fixes and still it stuffs up! :mad:

Doom 3 is sensitive to overclocking, so if your card is overclocked that is probably why. If not then I dunno :ouch:

By the way, the official catalyst 4.8s are out now.

You are correct. What DODGE the VIPER is experiencing in a video card that's overheating. If you have a OC utility, try bringing it down just a bit so the card isn't working so hard.

I've experinced the same thing on my 9800 Pro, although, they seem to be gone for now... *crossing fingers*

oh my god now i want this game so bad. good thing i just got a new comp. its bairly over the line with AMD2800 512 ram and a stock nVidia gforce4. i swear im goin tomarrow.
