Drift Master? When?

How long do you think it will take to perfect your drifting technique in this game? I've been at it for almost a week and I sure as hell know I'm not even close. (This pertains mostly to those who have mastered the drift in GT3).

well there's no such thing as mastering the drift technique... if there is then its gunna be hella crazy once you've mastered it. you'd be drifting to the max speed with max angle with edge drifting ha or hugging the ends of the curves... let's just say until you get "good" at it

drift master? when u beat the best here, j/k. there is no such thing as a drift master because we can all still learn somethings

ok so we all know now that you can't "master" drifting, but how long would you guys say it took to get "good" at drifting. I'm also interested cos i only really just started drifting myself about a month ago, and only get to play it a few hours a week at most. I watch some vids from here and get myself really motivated to drift like you guys, then when i go and practice I just cant seem to get it right. It can get quite frustrating at times (especially when your little brother wipes all your game data off your memory card  ) and i know it takes time and practice, but how long would you say it took to get good?
This would be mainly directed at the pro's on here.

noones gona believe me but it took me three hardcore weeks... as in 6 hours a day of light drifts den some more of high angle drifting

I've been practicing for a little over a week, I think im pretty good on the tight corners, but those long drifts are the ones I'm having trouble controlling. All I can do is just keep at it I guess, and see how "good" I get over time.

Keep practicing. Follow different lines, enter the corner with different speeds..... Try to see where are your mistakes and fix them.
The word is: Improving. ;)

Watch some movies for inspiration both gran turismo and real life drifting. One of the best things I have seen is the real life drift bible by BMI. It's long but it takes you step by step on how to do it. Other then that, keep at it and drift away.

Edit: also talk to people here, that helps too;)

I feel that I'm very far from being as good as I want to be. I have room for improvement like everyone else. But, I wanna become 10x as good as I am now even though i'm a pretty good drifter I still want to near the prefection stage even though its not possible to be perfect.:)

i was just thinking, would mastering drift be: doing a drift when you please, at any speed you want, getting the highest angle possible that physics will let you, and making the car where you want to go, and most of all NEVER stuff up?
