my style for drifting the r32 and works perffect to me is using the handbrake to keep the r32 oversteering. okay say your taking a fr line to drift. do a braking drift towards the turn then when you brake traction tap the hand brake a couple of times to get really side ways then alternate by pressing the gas then hand brake. It's really fun and you don't need to countersteer and it's preety wild when you exit a turn 90 degress at about 60 to 80 mph.
:p I might be exaggerating.

oh here how I drift the r32 and what I ment it should look like.
r32 drifting

the r32 should not be understeering... the 34 is prolly the worst understeerer of hte bunch... r34 behaves the most like fr out of all the last three gen skylines... at least the way i drive i have only experienced probs with the 34... i have weight red two just cause they are all heavy... bout 350 hp on sims... put custom or second highest suspension... lower halfway... chamber to 1 and 5... or no lower and adjust chamber only... sway bars adjust as needed... o-o toe... close range gears custom of course adjusted as needed... brakes up to 18 at least for 350 adn up... no tcs or asm... no prob.... use breaking or fient or kinda like a combo... should work fine... but everyone gots to figure it out for themselves...
i could not drif the 34 if my life depended on it... i can drift the 33 32 and 400r... but yeah... good luck man

I uploaded the video onto a different FTP, yay :D. Drifting: R34 Style.

Description: It's a video I made with only R34s during last summer. You can download it by right clicking, Save Target As.

http://gwinbeer.com/drifting/vids/Skyline.mpg

In this video, I try not to countersteer on some of the turns. I think they were turn 4 on Tokyo, the big U-turn on Apricot Hill, Super Speedway, and probably more.

Good vid Thio.👍 It's much better than your feint video. I hate to say this but you hit the wall in this vid to. Keep up the practice. ;)

Well, I guess that was wrong, but that was one of my best drifts back then: no countersteering and only throttle control. Try that. It's really fun :D

Actually, I wasn't meaning that hitting the wall in a vid was a good thing. The vid was cool........but we shouldn't pick someone apart with total fixation on how many times someone hits a wall.

unKn0wn, you right about not showing it, but what I was asking is that we should make allowances for error.
thnx!

Why judge people on how many times they hit the wall when they just pulled off a good drift? I'm not talking about myself, but if you made a video and lots of people hated you just because you hit the wall, does that make you a bad drifter? Every drifter has hit a wall once in their lifetime or spun out, but that's just the learning experience.

Judging on how the driver hits the wall is just ridiculous.

I don't know why your taking this so seriously? I'm talking about leaving the points you hit the wall out of the video, that's all. I hit walls all the time practicing, but I wouldn't put it in a video. I think they were great drifts, keep up the good work. ;)

I think people are missing the point entirely. I don't care if it's in the vid or not. Personally, I'd leave the wall hitting out. As long as the WHOLE vid is good, I'll add it to my collection.
Originally, I was just pointing out that all the nitpicking over someone's hard work is pointless.....aren't we all supposed to be helping each other out on this forum????

I don't think your reading me properly. I said I like the drifts, I think they were good angles and good lines. I was just giving some constructive criticism. I am trying to help him out, if you made a movie would you leave in a mistake. That's all I'm talking about. I'm just trying to help him make a more produced looking video. Keep up the practice, Thio, your one of the real drifters. ;)
