I dont play xbox
I found a deal where I get to drive one of my dream cars(for 100 bucks) on a track for 4 laps I get a chance to drive a ferrari F430 or a Lamborghini Gallardo. I am schedualed to drive the lambo but the more I think about it I think it might be a more unique and fun expereince to drive the F430. I hear alot of people say the F430 is more of adrivers car while the Gallardo is more a GT any thoughts or suggestions as to which I should drive I do this next SUnday

Personally I'd drive the F430, I think It would be a better experience. But it's your decision at the end of the day, so it's your opinion.

F430 = RWD
Gallardo = AWD
My personal opinion = F430

That being said, the Gallardo would probably sound nicer, however I'd feel you can have more fun in the F430 ;)

I know but apreciate the input I really am thinking of changing to the F430 heck I started playing both of them on GT5 and Liked the F430 more lolol

Im not going to be able to do both or I would we wouldnt be having a conversation lolololol

:dunce: True that. Personally I would go with the Ferrari, I don't like the looks of the Gallardo (besides the SV).. But maybe the Gallardo is better on track than the F430..

Guess I'll be the one to say it, when driving one of the cars... be careful :)

Sounds like a nice deal driving 4 laps yourself for 100$.
The local track offers a copilot seat in a Porsche race car for 120€, didn't say how many laps, doubt it's more than 2.

Will it be like a parade lap our will you actually be able to get some speed?

We will be able to get some speed not super crazy speed it all will depend on how comfortable we are I am sure the first lap will be a little cautious and then go from there

I would pick the one that has a manual gearbox. If neither do, then the Ferrari.

Make sure you do a 360 spin across the finish line on your last lap to impress the haterz.

I drove the Ferrari 430 and my brother the Gallardo when we where in Vegas. Instructor words: Ferrari 430 is for experienced drivers and the Gallardo is for beginners - is more easier to drive. The place is Exotics Experience.

My opinion: go for your dream! It's a unique chance... Both cars are awesome. Have fun! That's what matter!

Depends. Do you want more of a pure sports car or something that'll grip well? Both are great, but I think the 430 would provide more satisfaction (assuming some sliding is allowed).

I'd say go for the 430. Just my Ferrari-biased opinion.

The instructor also claims the GT-R is a cheater car & most people find the 911 Carrera to be the funnest car to drive. They spout that BS because of the AWD, but to actually find the Gallardo's limit takes a lot more experience than it does to find the F430's, & stay near it.

Not even close. It's more the opposite than anything. The Gallardo is definitely not quite as refined as the Ferrari is, feels a lot more raw when you push it.

Don't worry about which of them is more of a drivers car, out on the track they'll both feel pretty similar and 'special' unless of course you are already used to driving a mid-engined car with around 500bhp.

Go with which ever you prefer, not which one others may perceive as the better drivers car. You are doing 4 laps, you are not going to be pushing any performance envelopes in that time.

I agree, I think I'd probably just try to decide once I'm there. Either car is going to be out of this world amazing, just pick whichever appeals to you. I'd probably go with the Gallardo as I don't like the F430 as much now relative to the 458 Italia.

I've driven both irl..

Lambo: Imagine you're in the car..
In front of you, a huge dashboard, huge window poles (A-poles?), bad vision, you basically feel trapped in something big..

Ferrari: Imagine you're in the car again..
In front of you, there's nothing but road.. You, and the road, nothing else.

Imo, the Ferrari F430 is a much much better experiance.. The Gallardo is like driving an AUDI.. It honestly is.. Nothing special at all. Apart from the speed ofc.. It's fast. no doubt.

Someone said it earlier, the F430 is a drivers car.. And that's so true! 👍

Imo, go for the Ferrari! 👍

I also have driven both irl, and I agree with what you say about both cars, the Ferrari is a better experience, and the Lamborghini is more like driving like an Audi but in a way more fun than the Ferrari but it still doesn't compare to the Ferrari with experience. Both very nice cars though, no doubt.

I'd deff go with Ferrari 👍

any suggestions in preping to drive either car ?????

A Gallardo feels big to you? Huge dashboard? Please elaborate on the Audi a Gallardo feels like driving b/c I can't remember the R8 even coming remotely close to driving this.

It's hard to take your comparison seriously by your choice of words as well, because you went straight to the "negatives" of the Gallardo's size & feel, & then simply commented on 1 aspect of the F430 as being "nothing but road". Brilliance!

The simple truth is the Gallardo only appears "huge" because it's a more sleek design. It's smaller in height, wheelbase, length, & width. The "trapped" comment is probably because the F430 lacks a center console, so it's a much more open interior. But, if being in a snug-fitting car means "trapped", I'd rather be trapped on the track than not.

What Gallardo did you happen to drive by chance? A 5.0 or 5.2 model?

Because the latter is a different type of beast to drive, much more so than a F430. It's more raw & takes quite a high level of skill to drive it on its edge. That's not to take away from the F430, but being a RWD car, it doesn't take long to find where the traction limit is if you push it & when you do, you can recover it, being you know how. The Gallardo is a much more difficult car to find its limit at because the 30/70 power split has a tendency to make the car feel like a RWD car until you lose the rear end & you realize the car bites back hard.

I'll make it clear that I'm not disagreeing in the fact that the F430 is a better driver's car, b/c it really does a fantastic job at relaying feedback perfectly to the driver so he knows where he can & can't push the car. But, I prefer the rawness of the Lamborghini because the VT system is a double edge sword; it builds a lot of confidence the more you push it in the corners until you've pushed too hard & the car fights you as you try to recover it. It's like a Viper almost in that it punishes you. The rest of the car is very raw: it's very loud, it shifts hard & just propels you into your seat, & it's very tough to find to the limits of the brakes & the steering without going too far. But, when you do find it & can put it altogether, it's an extremely rewarding & fun car to drive. You definitely can not jump in it & expect to know what it feels like to drive it fast just because it's an AWD car.

No, my disagreement is in the way you chose to compare them & the ignorant Audi statement, which I believe stems from fact that Audi owns Lamborghini now & shares a lot of technology rather than based on anything valid. The only Audi that a Gallardo will feel like is a R8, but that's impossible because the Gallardo came first before both the 4.8 R8 (by 2 years) & the 5.2 R8 which came at the end of 2008 whilst the LP560-4 was developed in 2007 & revealed in March 2008. A Gallardo feels like a Gallardo, nothing else.

Yawn.. Was'nt talking to you mate.
If you don't like the way I put my own opinions out there for the thread owner to read, so be it. :indiff:

And you like the Gallardo. And you don't think it feels like you're trapped inside. Fine. 👍

I did'nt post in this thread just because.. I posted here cause I felt I could help the thread owner with some input. From my point of view.
And I sertainly did'nt post my opinions here to start an argument with you. It's not interesting at all for the thread I'd say..

And perhaps not the best of english in all my posts, I know..

It doesn't matter if you were or weren't, I can still reply to them. Your opinions don't mean anything when you speak on the line of ignorance.

Except as before, just because you state them as your opinions doesn't mean you actually based any sort of logical thought to come to said opinions.

So, when you're done yawning like a silly teenager, I'd like to know what Audi you drove that a Gallardo feels like. I mean, I know the real answer, I just want to make sure I get a clear message of whether or not you're really just spewing more nonsense.
