I'm curious if anyone has tried to use, or asked about support for an AccuForce wheel on a console.

The last thing I heard was that it wasn't considered cost effective to add support for this wheel.

I've been a drivehub user for a few months now on PS4/GTS/G27, I had an issue where I could nt adjust the brake balance on the fly with the buttons so was just doing it in the settings. Did an endurance race the other day and could nt adjust fueling during the race (same issue), looked online, updated FW and its all working!! Great support from the manufacturer, I'm really impressed with the product but still feel its a little over priced even with the GTplanet discount but does do exactly what is says on the box (for me anyway). Good product.

DD wheels on PC need specific drivers to run. I am not an IT specialist, but I think the DD wheels need a way to emulate a Logitech/fanatec/thrustmaster to run on console. I know some people who made it work through GIMX.

For a Niche product I think it is appropriately priced... Cheap even. But I cant look into everyone's wallet though.

Yeah I hear ya but it’s half the price I paid for my PS4 so in that respect it seems a lot

I purchased and own over $1,500.00 worth of Fanatec equipment and I am so thankful this $100.00 product allows me to play with my equipment on a PS4.

Edit: I feel awkward reading my reply now. I should state I went down this rabbit hole back in 2008, or a bit before with a Logitech G25 and a play seat. Look out the sim racing bug is a strong one.

You bought it cheap! But in that aspect... Playstation has often been sold at nearly cost or even loss though (reportedly a PS4 cost 381 usd to make at release). So that isn't an honest comparison.

Around 90€ for a Drivehub vs. around 550€ for a new wheel setup was an easy enough decision for me. 10/10 would purchase again.

One question though. Would a combination of a G29 and a TH8A be possible on PS4 for GT Sport with the shifter in the sequential mode? That's my backup plan if my old G25 kicks the bucket.

:):):):)So I went and read the update log for firmware versions and these guys have really made my Fanatec equipment fun. I had no idea the ABS function even worked in GTS until @rankings18 posted their settings.

I can only hope they will be able to add more button and feature maps to the new McLararen wheel rim.

At any rate I have a F and L option because of their efforts on my BMW rim. I also have a P1 and F1 rim. I’m sure the F1 will map like the BMW, not sure about the P1 though.

Thanks and keep up the good work please. :)

With the release of the new McLaren GT3 wheel. I have it attached to my CSW 2.5 and using it in PC mode for the PS4, along with the Drive Hub. I can't bring up the PS4 main menu with the Xbox button, since I think that it's disabled when it's in PC mode. Works fine when I have it in Xbox mode when I have the wheel base hooked up directly to the Xbox without the Drive Hub. When in Xbox mode, there's a light that lights up next to the Xbox button, which in PC mode, it does not.

So far the only the only way I can quit GT Sport is to use the PS button on a controller.

I sent a email to collectiveminds and I kindly asked if they could add/ button map this wheel rim for PS4. I only sent the email yesterday so I am not expecting a reply for a bit. I’m trying to turn more friends onto this devise it is such an awesome product.

I would not suggest spamming them but if a few more requests were to arrive at there in box it might not be a bad thing.

Well, I decided to contact them too, and explained what I said in my previous post. Being such a new rim, it's something that I can be patient for, or if there is no plans for it, I can live with it. But they have been pretty good at supporting other wheels.

Edit: I got a reply back from them, and they weren't aware of an issue, but they will look into it in the next few days.

Hi guys did anyone of you have a chance to compare the Fanatec CSW v2.5 + Drive Hub with the CSL Elite PS4 in native PS4 mode on the current version of GT Sport? I'm currently using the CSL Elite PS4 and I'm wondering if upgrading to the CSW v2.5 + Drive Hub would make sense and improve the force feedback, or would it actually make it worse? How does the Fanalogic mode through the Drive Hub work exactly, does it just emulate a G29? Cos in that case I would assume that the CSL Elite in PS4 mode actually runs better cos of the native support.

Again, this is one of those times I feel stupid. I posted the exact same thing on the McLaren thread. I should have looked over here.

And thanks, KD, for posting in both on it.

Although I haven't done a direct comparison as I don't have an Elite, I believe you do get more functionality with the Elite (rev lights as such), that with the v2.5. I still don't have lights and buttons working with the v2.5, although I do need to do the FW update for the drive hub.

K1LL D, to go one step further, the Drive Hub was part of my justification for green lighting my Fanatec purchases, as I am primarily (for now) console based simmer.

Edit: I have been on again, off again simracing since about 08 myself. Please no disrespect intended to any of you here, but for me personally I don't feel that I have to dedicate so many hours to this cherished hobby a week to justify why I get a particular product.

I just know I enjoy my rig when I use it, and it is very relaxing to me.

Can anybody post settings for a CSW 2.5 and Drivehub and Gran Turismo Sport.

I've tried settings for a CSL in this post https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/csl-update-blue-mode.376687/page-5#post-12311760 but it just doesn't feel right for me. It feels like there is little or no ffb.

My settings for Assetto Corsa for PC and PS4 work well for me - better ffb on pc but the ps4 version is not that far behind. So I can't understand why GTS feels so odd - if I use the Assetto Corsa settings for GTS, they feel fine except for the understeer rattle - when that happens, it feels like the bolts are rattling off my rig.

I won't post my settings as I haven't found any that work for me - I'm just hoping to someone has better settings than I have so far. Thanks for any settings posted.

I like to run in Fanalogic mode because I can’t stand the understeer effect.

I use these settings and really like it. ( I own a V2, should be close though)

@rankings18

Guys, long story short, because I am a moron, I have never done it before and have searched the functions online but haven't seen the way...please, if you would be so kind, tell me how you switch between Fanatec and Fanalogic mode, and the procedural steps for doing it?

Your responses are greatly appreciated, in advance...in which response you can also make fun of me.

EDIT: OK, sorry, I have my manual. So you do it through your actual xbox/ps4 controller...you just have to identify the buttons properly depending upon your wheel.

Using the wheel connected normally with Drive Hub start up PS4 and log in. Then press and hold whatever buttons on your wheel equal START and SELECT. On my BMW rim it’s the 2 bottom black buttons. Hold them down until the Drive Hub resets and either a L or F is displayed. Then start GTS. It will stay in whatever setting you last used and if you want to change it you have to exit the game.

Also, the directions are in the Drive Hub manual. Though it incorrectly states the Drive Hub will display the F or L, it actually displays on the wheel rim.

Side note I have been unable to change modes with the McLaren rim connected. I can swap rims to change then change back to the McLaren.

Currently I am enjoying L mode.

I agree. Amazing product and worth every penny!
not liking the understeer effects in “F” mode either. Also, funky switch rotating dial on my bmw gt2 wheel doesn’t work.
O, and rpm lights don’t work either.
so Im currently running “L” mode and everything works..but there’s oscillation if you let go of the wheel.

My current Gts settings in Fanalogic (L)mode:
Sen- auto
FF- 70-80
SHO- 20
Abs- 70-80 (engages rumble effects on my V3i pedals)
Dri- -3 to -5
For- 90-100
Spr- off
Dpr-off
Brf- depends on how hard you want to push on brakes, 50-65 for me.

In game forces: 4/5

Even the clubsport handbrake works but I really need drifting lessons for this game..I kinda suck at it right now

My apologies, KD, as I did find it in the manual and revised my post which I had hoped would be in time before anyone wasted their time responding to me.

I should have just stated as much in another post.

however, I greatly appreciate your response AND that is important to know about the McLaren wheel as I would have wasted time with that later.

Thanks. I'll give that a try. So the Fanatec mode has not been properly implemented then?

Try it and use CSL wheel in game to adjust button mapping. I do not care for the understeer effect, and I would need to map some buttons to adjust ABS, TC and Fuel ratio. By default you can select between them, but not adjust + or -.

K1LL, to that end, would we also choose the G29 as our controller in GT Sport, since that is what it is emulating in Fanalogic mode in Sport, or do we still choose the CSL Elite?
