Why would we be? Completely baffled here...No, it's as @CSL_GoTp says....it was more from an 'unlockables standpoint to see if you are actually peanalized for owning the DLC in some way![]()

From what I understood those who didn't own the DLC could still use the bike so I was curious if they had to still get the accolade in order to use the bike. I know the Xbow can be used to get the milage anyway but it was more curiosity than anything since I had heard people without the DLC didn't need it to do this elite level, based on previous implementations of non-essential vehicles in the tour I thought those without bikes might have got instant access to the bike. Why would we be? Indeed, like you say those who don't have the DLC can 'earn' the reward bike. I think the confusion might stem from the dualism of levels implemented since the last update. Elite levels you still need to pass the challenges in set vehicles on a set track to advance, which also means accruing XP and stars. From what I understood those who didn't own the DLC could still use the bike so I was curious if they had to still get the accolade in order to use the bike. I just can't understand what's elite about having to grind out milage for the sake of it. Surely even allowing us to use the bike temporarily(which they have and continue to do in the tour mode) would have made more sense. That's all I'm getting at, although I think putting bikes in there in the first place is a bit of a boo boo, my real qualm is being forced to drive a car or bike I don't enjoy for X amount of time as an arbitrary task in general. I wouldn't have even minded if it was getting a single vehicle to a certain level since that means I could have done different modes to get enjoyment out of trying to get there. Grinding out milage isn't fun though (for myself) and neither is paying £1.19.
Fair enough, all valid points mate. As someone who really enjoys the car side I just feel like a bike elite level and a car elite level system would have made a bit more sense. 👍 I don't think Evo would have done this if there wasn't precedent to do so(even if I can't see it). I liked the accolades when they were optional extras that unlocked achievements such as trophies etc but I'm not a fan of making them mandatory for progress without valid reason to do so. With bikes that were unlocked with accolade levels there were enough events to keep it interesting so barely any actual grinding was needed. However I feel this specific accolade for a manufacturer which probably isn't as widely used as something like Mercedes-Benz is a bit of an annoyance. Like I also said, the game has allowed me to use a 'rental' vehicle even as recent as the AMG pack, why I can't here just seems a bit of an odd decision.Indeed, like you say those who don't have the DLC can 'earn' the reward bike. Normal levels can now advance ahead of your relative elite rank, irrespective of elite level and based purely on your XP accrual to date: for example, I am at level 85 due to my having over two hundred million XP (you only need 69.75 million qualify for that) - but my elite level is 23 which is two short of parity, so that on will not advance until I complete those challenges. The following ten updates will probably level me up automatically, even if I never play the game again for a year, I'll very likely still be ahead of the max level available (unless they add more than five levels per update again, of course)
I think the elite level thingy isn't so much about grinding, but more for those who are playing the game a lot already. On FB there were regular comments and requests for Evo to raise the cap - the accolades are just a way to make that XP accrual interesting. I know not everyone will agree with that rationale, but it is a possibility as to why it was designed this way. From another perspective, only those who play fairly consistently might be interested in gaining those elite levels in the first place - again, just a theory.
I also can't agree with the inclusion of bikes as being a mistake, especially as I've taken over a thousand pictures of them so far. As to their inclusion as a part of the after-game progress, well, they do listen so it's not without precedent that this could get changed.
Elite for each side would be more logical, I agree. Also the rental/loaner approach á la GT5/6 would certainly have smoothed things over for a few out there who don't particularly want the bikes in their car game - maybe it'll changeFair enough, all valid points mate. It doesn't seem like those games interest me to be honest. It's Hardware:Rivals, which is a car combat game so I am quite stoked.
The other is Grim Fandango: Remastered, which is a classic point and click adventure if I remember correctly. It's very funny and will definitely be worth checking out.
I have to say the F12 is quite a dream to drive. It's immensely fast and stable at the same time.
I'm gonna have to buy that Renault, I won't have time or the effort to get to that level.Wait until you get to Driver Level 66...![]()

Nope. Unless Evo can strike up a monumental deal for the rights.Do you guys think they will ever have F1 cars DLC? That's what I really want.
It seems up and down, I have been logged into PSN the whole time but the server parts of games go on and off. Driveclub has been working for me since around 11 but Metal Gear had its servers down for me.PSN being down or not, Driveclub's online portions all seem to be back up and running again. I also got no PSN warning about maintenance, so maybe it's all okay now?
That car is very precision based. The throttle control and the steering input need to be smooth and careful because one mistake: game over. It is better for tracks like sentraland.So...
I know the One:1 is the fastest car in the Hyper class, but how on earth do people drive that thing properly? It's nigh on impossible for me, I slide everywhere, even with throttle control. I mean, it makes the Venon GT look like something from the hot hatches class, even though the Venom isn't supposed to be an easy thing to drive....
Maybe I'll stick with the LaFerrari.
Ahhh, okay. I've had about four hours of sleep in between all of thatIt seems up and down, I have been logged into PSN the whole time but the server parts of games go on and off. Driveclub has been working for me since around 11 but Metal Gear had its servers down for me.
Exactly as lldantell says, gentle throttle and braking are essential. Once you get used to it though, you can control it, and you get to appreciate it's ridiculous acceleration. I find I can do poor laps with the One that are still faster than a clean lap with other hyper cars!So...
