Nope... They basically use what they want and don't adhere to any modern day regs... I wish the FIA would sneak under the boots of NASCAR and go to the manufactures saying if they do not comply with regs from the FIA from production, cars can not be used in other series non-affiliated with the FIA. In my mind, the safety of ones life is the most important part of racing. Not the specs of the engine or new innovation brought to it, but the ability to keep a driver safe.. Relying solely on a device dreamed up thirty years ago and a pretty standard roll cage is not an acceptable way for protection..
