Hi i wanted to host a series with DTM cars
anyone interresed it in it

these are the rules i came up with
you can always comment and add suggestions if you want

- 2 races per week
- 1 Sprint race
- 1 Main race
- 1 point for the fastest lap
- 1 point for the fastest lap in the main race
- I'm giving you a week to submit your time
- Every time someone wins a race he will get 1% weight added
- Last placed driver will get a decrease of 1% weight
- Save your Races
- Top 3 drivers gonna get a weight handicap of 1%

Remaining points for sprint race & main race

1st place 10 pts
2nd place 8 pts
3rd place 6 pts
4th place 5 pts
5th place 4 pts
6th place 3 pts
7th place 2 pts
8th place 1 pt

There are 3 championships to give away

-Constructor Championship
-Team Championship
-Drivers Championship.


-2 Drivers per team

You can choose the following cars with (temporary) specs

- ABT Audi TT-R Touring Car ----------------------> 449 {-3%}----- 1004{-7%}
- Audi A4 Touring Car '04 --------------------------> 449 {-3%} --- 1004{-7%}
- Mercedes Benz CLK Touring Car-------------------> 452 {+2%}--- 1000

Rumble Strips are part of the track
No wall riding

Top Speed - Your choice
Driving Aids - None
Transmission - Your choice
Tire Type
- Racing Super Soft for Sprint race
- Racing Medium for the Main Race

As a german car and DTM lover I'd take the challenge. Though I would like to know the rules ofcourse.
 
I think the idea is great, but the timing is horrible. Maybe another time. :) We already have way more than enough events to go around.

Well, it is a DTM car, so I think it would be allowed. Though I don't know what appie is thinking with DTM :). But yeah, I'd use the Alfa all the way. The sound of the engine is just S-E-X-Y!

Depends however how the format will be and if I have enough time to run it.
But I love DTM.
Last three years a spectator on the Zandvoort races.👍
 
How were you planning to make sure the lap times are 100% correct?
I assume you'd want our replays too? And the races are in arcade mode right? (I know, they have to be if we want to add weight to our cars...)
And I'd also like to know when were you planning on starting this?
 
Ive PM'ed Appie on behalf of Team Euro Racers, mainly because we have 3 drivers intersted which i am confident will go to 4 so we plan on entering 2 teams, A and B much like the Red bull team do in F1, 1 team would run the A4 and the other running the TT. Obviously both teams would score seperately so as to make it fair:tup:

a DTM series was ran last year, cant remember by who and the series really turned out very competitive and a good allround series, my first real online racing series, made better by winning the overall championship, so im keen to defend the title.... in my Opel Astra Coupe.... will submitt team name and team mate later on, you can see details on the last series in verious threads scattered on this page

I still have some questions but till so far it looks great.

-Can you tell what tracks you wanna use.
-How many laps will be a race.
(pretty important because you using the common OLR rules)
-Rules concerning AI
-will there be tire wear races
-How many races.

If it is not to much trouble and of course the other racers must be agree with it,would it possible to change Suzuka East,Citta Di Aria and Fuji Speedway 2005 for Tsukuba,New York and Fuji Speedway 90's.

It seems I'm a real pain in the arse but I'm actually a really nice guy.:D
And I bring a team mate along.:cool:
